It worked. Problem is, the annoying dashboard notification won’t go away and has no button to eliminate unless I disable the plugin:
“The Disable Comments plugin is active, & blocking all comments. Rate us please. if some comments are not being deleted then go to settings and save again.”
If this is happening only on my system, I wouldn’t mind, but it is occurring on all of my sites.

FYI – there is no warning. Once you select choices and click ‘Save’, it’s done. This plugin does exactly what it states it will do. Add it to your plugin arsenal.

I had 87,000 comments pending (all spam), and this plugin worked perfectly – and FREE! – by deleting all of them, as well as disabling new comments (which I wanted to do).

I’ve tried another comment cleaner that didn’t do anything so I was happily surprised to see how quickly WP Remove comments and Disable Comments trashed my over 1,000 spam comments. Also, it sped up my site. Thank you, fabulous plugin makers!
