When having hundreds of websites it’s impossible to deal with such notifications.

Plugin does the job on most of my websites but not all of them, however support is really fast to answer ??

It’s a fully functional plugin, which does what it claims. However, would be nice to see in future if there would be more possible settings, e.g. information when plugin update failed etc. ??

Thank you guys for this plugin.
I installed it on 25 websites so far. All good.

Since WordPress 5.5 likes to spam us with plugin update notification mails and there was no setting to switch this off, I am happy that this plugin exist. Even if it may become obsolete in some future. Would give it 5 stars if it was not an all or nothing thing and if you don’t enter the exact and full length name it is darn hard to find in the plugin repo. The latter has probably more to do with the ineffective way the plugin directory works. Still.

There’s always one thing or another that every major update brings to WordPress that means we got to add yet another piece of code to WP to stop or hide things…
If it isn’t intrusive notices and advertising from Automattic, then it is a half-baked addition which requires yet another tweak – surely whoever added auto-updates would actually provide a switch to disable such notifications in the first place (which seems like something obvious that should have been in WP from the beginning)…
Thank you for creating this – I just can’t be bothered pushing updates to function files on our many WP sites, but I can mass-update them with this simple plugin to stop the irritating emails.

Quick way to disable the auto_plugin_update_send_email and auto_theme_update_send_email filters. Straight to the point no extra bloat.

We do need notifications, but *only* when some admin action is needed, for instance when a plugin update failed. So please make a more detailed filter.

After disabling Companion Auto Update on all websites, the plugin finally paused all these annoying email notifications, thanks.

It does exactly what it says on the tin. I manage a lot of websites, so it was annoying to find the core team had added update notifications without adding a setting to switch them off; this is exactly the tool I needed to stop them – thank you! Great to see it is made by a fellow Kenyan.

This plugin solves one of the biggest problems with WordPress 5.5 for me. I use automatic updates with Easy Updates Manager on a lot of sites but since the update I have been constantly emailed about this. This plugin easily solves that. Thanks!
