Even though I have re-loaded my lists and groups several times, only my previous two “locators” are showing in the dropdown and I cannot get the newly created <div mc:edit=”main”></div> to show. Any suggestions?

I tried deleting the plugin and then reinstalling but it seems the settings (incl. Template Locator) were saved. Is there a directory/file that I need to manually delete in order to clean the history?…

SOLVED:
It seems this could be a bug in Mailchimp (see discussion here).
The point being that this plugin can only take the “Locator” from “Code your own”-templates, and NOT from “Drag and drop”-templates.

What is the Field “Template Locator” for? The only choice there is “None”. How/Where Do I create a Template Locator?

When I publish a new Post, nothing is send to MailChimp. Maybe because the Template Locator is missing?

thank you for your good efford doing this plugin. I was using it almost a year until now. We are sending menu with the plugin “postie” to publish them, until last update was working fine, sending automatically mailchimp campaings when a post was published by “Postie”, another plugin that publish automatically posts sent by email, in a given category. Now, I can not send to mailchimp automatically when a post is published, I have to “edit” the menu manually and click on “force send mailchimp campaing” to let menu be sent by mailchimp. Is there anything I could do to fix this issue?.

Hi, I replied to a few other threads but thought it might be better to start my own.

How do I edit templates? In the template drop down no templates are displayed. Should this be displaying my mailchimp saved templates?

I noticed that JCIstevens asked a similar question. I created a basic RSS template in MailChimp, but I don’t have the option in the WordPress plugin settings to choose that template. Is there a way to use my MailChimp template or set one up for immediate send?

I’m confused on how to use the Templates section of the admin. After entering my API key on the plugin’s admin page, I am able to choose a template from my Mailchimp account through the “Template” select dropdown. However, I don’t quite understand what the “Template Locator” field is for. It’s prefilled with the default template (std_content00).

The plugin works and sends emails correctly when I don’t have a template selected from the select dropdown but not when I select one of my templates. The email sends, but none of the dynamic fields display… instead, they show Mailchimp’s variables:

Newlines in posts are not converted to html linebreak tags, and therefore not visible as new lines in e-mails sent out through MailChimp. This makes the e-mail really hard to read, with no paragraphs, just a huge block of text.

This is easily fixed by converting newlines to html using for example the nl2br() function.

This is how I did it (this is on version 1.25 of the plugin, I can’t get version 2.0 to work):

After I upgraded to 3.9.1, I suddenly got an error that MailChimp Immediate Send (MCIS) couldn’t find DeMomentSomTres Tools.

I got this message when I tried to open MCIS’ options page.

I installed DeMomentSomTres Tools separately. After I did that, I’m now able to open the options page, but it looks a bit weird and no e-mails are sent when I create new posts.

If I try to insert an invalid MailChimp API key, I don’t get an error message, so it doesn’t seem to actually connect to MailChimp anymore.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the MCIS plugin, but it doesn’t make any difference.
