I was very excited to discover this plugin, so when I tried to use it but the dashboard didn’t change, I emailed their support. The reply I got was fast and clear.
The custom dashboard I designed with Elementor showed up as soon as I took their advice to “Please check and confirm if you have not enabled the hide option for the welcome page in the upper-screen option.”
That solved the problem and my custom Elementor Dashboard is working! If you think this plugin isn’t working, before troubleshooting, make sure you haven’t unchecked the dashboard screen options Welcome box by mistake. Thank you so much for the help and this fantastic plugin!

As an avid user of Elementor, I’ve been on the lookout for complementary solutions to enhance the user experience. Unfortunately, the “Dashboard Welcome for Elementor” plugin hasn’t met my expectations.
The primary reason for my disappointment lies in the lack of updates for the plugin for quite some time. The absence of updates could potentially lead to security issues and compatibility problems with the latest versions of WordPress and Elementor. It’s crucial for plugins to be regularly maintained to ensure optimal performance and security, and this lack of ongoing support from developers is concerning.
Moreover, a critical aspect of an Elementor plugin is its ability to seamlessly integrate with the graphical style and functionalities of the editor. Unfortunately, “Dashboard Welcome for Elementor” falls short in this regard. The absence of control over graphical styling through Elementor is a significant limitation as users seek uniformity and customization without resorting to additional code or alternative solutions.
I’m disappointed that a plugin that could have potentially enhanced the Elementor user experience has been left without updates and hasn’t adequately addressed integration with the editor. Ultimately, I cannot currently recommend “Dashboard Welcome for Elementor” due to its lack of active support and essential functionalities for the Elementor user experience.

Great idea! I downloaded the plugin – my slightly dyslexic brain read “Compatible up to WordPress 6.1.3” as 6.3.1, so I thought I was good to go. Spent some time creating a fabulous new Client Dashboard page for my client, but it’s not showing up. Not sure what to do as it seems the author hasn’t maintaining the plugin for WP updates. I hope this isn’t the case, because I really like the idea very much as a client site handover tool, and would use it for all my clients’ sites that I develop.

The plugin works great, some things to note though:
All in all pretty good plugin after adding some tweaks to the animation and styling of the dashboard.

I used this plugin well in previous versions of WordPress, but in version 5.9 of WordPress this plugin does not work

I’ve used this plugin for a long time, and it never did really work properly, but the few problems weren’t an issue. Now, however, I’ve added the plugin to my latest client site and the styling is all over the place. While I realise this is a free plugin, but if the styles don’t work in the actual dashboard, then it’s not really worth having. On the up side, if you’re only providing text/images and no buttons, it’s ok.
Honestly, I’d pay a proper license for this if it worked, but as it stands I’m afraid I will have to delete it from the sites.

Styles in the plugin crash, and support never responded to this.

I’ve used this plugin for a couple of years and found it to be reliable and flawless. Perhaps the recent negative reviews are indicative of people with too-high expectations or a desire to take this plugin beyond its capabilities.
If you don’t want to have to customize the dashboard menus, then this plugin will provide all of the necessary functionality to create and embed an Elementor template page that will do most anything that such a page can do.

You spend some time and create a beautiful dashboard in Elementor, then you go to your WordPress dashboard set the new template as Dashboard only to find out that all the styling work you had done was for nothing, the plugin simply doesn’t load the Elemntor styling for the template.
Some have addressed this issue in the support forum 9 months ago and ZERO response from the developer nor has the issue been fixed.

And amazing plugin, simple to use and very useful!

Doesn’t respond to questions.
Opens up permissions that even when you uninstall and delete, the permissions stay open. I really wanted to use this but with the lack of attention and permission issues I won’t ever use again. I had a backup so at least I only lost 3 hours of work.

It works amazingly on multisite.
Not only that, but its super easy to create one default template that will be used across the entire network!
Very well thought out

Hi, since Granular seems to be “abandonware”, glad for this.
My feedback..
1: In admin I think it should be under Elementor rather than under Settings..
2: Would be good to be able to have an Edit button for the chosen template directly in the settings page.
3: I would see something where you could mix and match Elementor sections directly from the setting so you could almost “build a page” quickly that way.. and organize them by drag and drop (something that would look a bit like the Nested Pages plugin). Say you temporarily want to add some sort of info.. boom you created a section, then you add it to certain roles in between whatever section make up their panel and you’re done.
4: Don’t know if you could add a Template Type, coud be named Dashboard (like we have Section etc..) in case one ends up having lots of them. Am thinking someone who created lots of user roles, some very specific.. also if one has lots of sections already saved (would keep things more organized, especially if you implemented 3), also the dropdown would then only show this Template Type…
5: And you could even create ready made Dashboard Elements, stuff that has to do with server info, note taking etc.. along the lines of this:

Ok I’m taking this too far :0)
