I hope somebody sees and helps. I’m creating a restaurant menu with elementor. I added cell by cell values by adding shortcodes to dynamic tags. But after adding about 24 shortcodes for 8 items, the page got quite slow and even it has difficulties in showing the values.

Anybody to help, please?

I’ve got the sheets plugin working, but when there are links in the sheet, they do not work on the wordpress page. Is there a setting I’m missing?

I set up the API access correctly, it is showing that I’m getting 100% Errors on google.apps.sheets.v4.SpreadsheetsService.GetValues

I’ve correctly applied the Folder ID as per the instructions, and I’ve even pasted example shortcodes to ensure that I’m not making a typo. I’ve used both the default Sheet1 and the actual sheet name, and I’ve tried both single cells and ranges.

Nothing is working for me. Any help would be appreciated.

Google sheet for reference

I have google sheet linked to a google form. Whenever the form is submitted there is a new row added to the google sheet. I want this data to be displayed on my WordPress site automatically.
Can I run a query so that the value of the cell property is taken at runtime so that it selects whichever cell was last modified or has the latest timestamp?

I’ve got a bunch of data, it’s mostly text, and I’m hoping that there is some way this plugin can be used for a search by the end user at the web site … and then display what they are looking for.

Is there a way this great looking plugin can accomplish that? I’ve got user with (different) narrow scopes.

I’m looking for a way to trap errors.

In the normal course of my use, I will try to access spreadsheet fields that are not yet defined. E.g, trying to access field Z2, when it is not initialized (empty).

Currently, that creates an error:
“Undefined index: values in dans-gsheets.php on line 199”

If there a way to trap or test for this? Perhaps returning “” or false?

FWIW, I’m calling your routine using $data = do_shortcode(….)
Of course I test the result, but the call generates the error.

Your plugin doesn’t seem to be working for me.

I’ve setup a fresh install of WordPress, with just your plugin installed.

I’ve created a test Google Sheet with some basic test data, and set it’s sharing permissions to “Anyone on the internet can find and edit”.

I’ve created a project via the Google Developers Console and created an API key.

It’s worth noting both the Google Sheet and project were created using the same Google account.

I’ve filled in the API Key and Folder ID fields in the plugin settings.

I’ve created a page and added the [dansheet] shortcode.

But when I view the page it doesn’t display anything. Looking at the HTML it’s just outputting <span class="gsheets-single-value "></span>

I double checked everything, but I couldn’t spot any mistakes.

To test I enabled the Google Sheets API for my Google account. This didnt fix the problem, but it gave me access to Traffic and Errors panels, which note the plugin is generating response code 400 errors via the method ‘google.apps.sheets.v4.SpreadsheetsService.GetValues’.

I’m assuming here is that the plugin no longer works with either the latest version of the Google Sheets API or WordPress, but it’s possible I’ve setup something incorrectly.

Any ideas what the problem might be here? I’m happy to provide you with logins in required.

I can’t seem to get the plugin to retrieve data from my sheet. It’s public and I’ve created a google sheet API, but nothing is happening.

What I’m seeing in the Google Developer Console does not match your description. Is it possible that the process has changed since you wrote the guide? What are the correct steps now?

I’m also not seeing the same options as you described to make the spreadsheet public.

As a non developer I have jumped through tons of hoops to display data from Google Sheets since 2011 – this plugin fixes every problem ever. Make a pro version and I’ll be the first to pay.

My question is – I have a sheet that populates a restaurant menu. Every part of the menu goes with a one cell call.

I’ve had the page load and be missing 75% of the data, then other time it is 100% there again then another it may be missing just one thing.

Is there something I need to change to prevent this?
