]]>Hello, Thank you for this great plugin! It’s great the option to not use cookies.
I have a suggestion:
When sending feedback with comment form enabled, If user click on thumbs up/down but does not click on “Send” it doesn’t count as a valid statistic. It will be great after a user click on thumbs up/down and don’t want to write any feedback, even if user donesn’t click on send, the first action (thumbs up or down) will count for statistics.
I think, specially on smartphones, is easy to not see the comment form or even the send button.
thank you.
]]>Hi, your plugin seems cool, but a lot of the time when adding the plugin via shortcode i get the You can’t add multiple feedback forms in the same post. message on pages. I have ensured that they are not also added to the pages from the plugin settings. How can this be solved?
]]>When logged out of WordPress, interacting with the plugin generates a 403 error on /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php –?you can see this for example here: https://handbook.teamsimmer.com/the-web-browser/what-is-the-web-browser/ – if you browse down past the content to where the Helpful plugin is and try to click the smiley face, you should see a 403 error.
Is this an issue with the plugin or something to do with CDN / Firewall or something?

is there a way to set it so it doesn’t come up on that page?
]]>Hi,
I’ve added Helpful to all my posts. However, I would like to put it inside a different section for some specific articles. I’ve tried adding the ‘[Helpful]’ shortcode which shows up on page edit, but on the live site it just says ‘You can’t add multiple feedback forms in the same post.’.
Is there a way I can add the shortcode to my desired position ?

Great plugin but the reporting seems to be lacking — unless there’s a conflict with my wordpress configuration and the plugin’s stats reporting is not working as intended.
For instance, if try to sort posts by ‘positive’ or ‘negative’ feedback, it doesn’t show anything. Ratings are registered in the database. You can see how this is rather unhelpful, pardon the pun, as publishers need to quickly sort their archive by the most unhelpful feedback in order to start updating.
Hello and thanks for your useful plugin.
Please let me know how it is possible to set custom font-family on all plugin texts in the theme CSS editor section. I already tried in the plugin options page (Font tab) and theme CSS editor but nothing happened.
I already changed my whole website fonts but it is not working on your plugin!
Second question, how is it possible to align Textarea Label?(after registering opinion +/-) to center???
Thanks in advance
]]>Thank you for a great plugin!
It is not without issue and I am observing…
Helpful is including the text “Was this helpful? Submit Cancel Thanks for your feedback!” at the end of external social media posts.
The above text appears at the end of published WebMentions, as well.
This text is ‘out of context’ when appearing in these situations. A viewer would not be able to act upon the options given (plus, it makes shared posts and webmentions look like a bot generated them).
How can this be resolved?
]]>I’m using ACF custom posts and gutenberg editor

Is there any way to stop the Helpful code from being generated on specific pages?
I currently use “display:none” CSS code to hide the feature on pages where I don’t want it to appear, but it means that the code is still there, just not visible. And in most cases this is an acceptable solution.
However, on one page I use a “:last-child” CSS selector to style the last paragraph in the page – but if the Helpful feature is there, even hidden, it gets targeted instead of the last visible piece of content on the page.
So ideally, I’d find a way to stop the Helpful feature from being generated when that page loads.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Hi there, very nice plugin! Thanks for developing it. I’ve just added it to my WP site (using the Blocksy theme) but unfortunately, the face icons are not showing up on my iPhone 13 using Google chrome.
They do show up on desktop, even when simulating mobile devices. Weird.
Thankful for any ideas!

Helpful v1.05
WordPress v6.2
Console responds with the following error when creating a new page:Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()
The missing file is:
wp-content/plugins/daext-helpful/blocks/dist/blocks.build.js.map
Console is clear of all errors, outside of your incredibly useful plugin.
Can we get a fix on this, to keep the console tidy and plugin running optimally?
Hi,
I’ve added the Helpful plugin, and am seeing the happy/sad faces on the correct pages (I’m just using the icons). When I click the icon I get a 200 back and everything looks correct. BUT when I go to the Helpful – Statistics page and ‘Generate’, I don’t see any data. Also, if I edit that page the Statistics in the section sidebar shows as 0%.
I have set the ‘Post Types’ to ‘Pages’ in the Helpful – Options – Analysis and Advanced settings. Also I looked at the MySql database for the site and cannot see a …_daexthefu_feedback table (am I meant to see one?).
Thanks for any help.
Should I assume the fix will be in the next update?
]]>Hi,
First, let me say this is a fantastic plugin that does exactly what I need it to do.
I’ve been using it for the last two weeks, but I’ve noticed that the feedback form doesn’t show up on all posts. It shows up just fine in relatively recent posts, but on older ones it is missing.
On second thought, the form does seem to load but the thumbs up and thumbs down are hidden for some reason.
Example of problematic URL: https://www.zmescience.com/medicine/heroin-vaccine-432432/ (scroll down to ‘was this helpful’)
Shows up just fine on recent posts such as this: https://www.zmescience.com/feature-post/health/food-and-nutrition/is-almond-milk-good-for-you/
We have an archive of over 20,000 articles and I suspect there may be a limit coded in the plugin but please correct me if I’m wrong.
]]>Hi, my client needs something just like this, however we want to apply it to only certain pages/posts using ACF or in a template. Or, we could apply it to a category of post/page. Is there a way I can implement this using a shortcode? I’d rather do something like that than apply it everywhere and then hide it using CSS on the ones we don’t want.
Thanks
Mick
