I’ve just changed my site to use a light, rather than dark, theme. I’m using cyclone slider and would like to add a border around it. Is there a way to do this?

For anyone experiencing a problem with enormously large icons when editing a slide show, the problem is due to the cycloneslider class not being set properly in the body tag, resulting in the cycloneslider class name being merged with the preceding class name. The admin css then fails to style things correctly.

Here is how to fix the problem. Open the following file from the cycloneslider plugin folder:

\wp-content\plugins\cyclone-slider\src\CycloneSlider\Admin.php

On line 126 you will see

$classes .= ‘cycloneslider’;

Change this to

$classes .= ‘ cycloneslider’;

i.e. add a space at the start of the ‘cycloneslider’ string then save the file.

Reload the slider edit page and your icons will now be correctly sized.

Does cyclone slider have a full screen option that allows an image to be clicked at sending you to a full screen slideshow, not just the selected image?

I am helping out a friend with her page which was developed by another developer. I updated her plugins as they were outdated and the slider images now are not working. She hasn’t updated to the latest version of WordPress and I am wondering if that is the cause of the slider not working. Can you confirm?

Congratulations on your excellent plugin. I have been very pleased with your plugin over a number of years. I am not aware of any flaws in the operation of the current version of your plugin. However, I have the following concerns. There have been no updates in about a year and a half. Your page on WordPress lists WordPress version 4.8.8 (which is several versions back), as the last compatible version. That page also states “Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.” You have not responded to anyone’s posts on your forum in that same year and a half. I wonder if you might address the subject of the current status of your plugin and your future plans for this plugin.

I’m trying to fix my Cyclone Slider. I have it on my homepage, announcing the upcoming events we have. But it is hiding part of my dropdown menu (and completely hiding the menu bar if I scroll down.)

When I change the slides of the slideshow in the header, Cyclone Slider gives them a fixed width and height. No problem on desktop, but a big problem on tablet and smartphone. Is it possible to use width=100% in stead of width=1000 or so? And if so, how can I fix that? Thanks.

Since update to WordPress 4.9.8, the plugin has an php warning.

Icons on the ‘Edit Slideshow’ page are enormous making the management of the slides unusable. This seems to be some conflict between MailPoet and Cyclone Slider as when I disable MailPoet the icons are appropriately sized.

I set up a testimonial slider.
On mobile, the height does not adapt and the text is chopped off.
I was able to change the font size with a @media query, but I can’t manage the height.

I’m using the latest v3.1.3. For some reason my buttons to edit and delete my slides are missing. I checked Chrome Console and am not seeing any errors. It looks like the bundled version of font awesome is not loading on my backend (not seeing it when I view source). I am currently running WordPress 4.8 and using Cyclone Slider Version 3.1.3 and Cyclone Slider Pro Version 3.1.0. In the past I’ve used the thubnail crop of exact ant the thumbnail would crop that way but upon the recent update I can’t seem to find a way to get them to crop correctly as seen here: https://staffordmotorspeedway.com/

This is event despite going into the Cyclone Slider > Cyclone Slider > Slide Show > Force Resize image Yes. Do you know I can return this to function as expected cropping the thumbnails to 40X40 exact?

Tried to run the “merge” upgrade from CS-2 to v3.1.1 twice. It imports my slide shows just fine from the older version, settings, images, etc. But when I use the embed code in a WP post I get that error. Same thing in the CS Editor … preview shows same error. Deactivated 3.1.1 and back to running CS-2 until I can get this resolved. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have a simple image slider, with URLs to different for each. The slider looks fine, but there are no links in the markup at all. Am I missing something obvious here?

I was using Cyclone Slider 2 and used the merge functionality to migrate to CS3. However now whenever I go to add a new slide. I add the slide, then the image, then the title/caption, then click update. Now when the screen reloads I go down to the slide I just created click the minus icon and nothing shows. If I refresh the page the slider is on again nothing shows.

Now if on the admin side I click “Image” on the top left of the slide missing the image, title, and caption show. And if I click update again it will finally show on the page the slider is on.

If it makes a difference this is on a multisite installation.

I have used your slider on several sites, and on one where the original Cyclone Slider is on, I installed Cyclone Slider 2, activated it and my slider on the front page doesn’t show and has this message…

I was able to verify that my old sliders still existed, obviously it was to take over for the original Cyclone Slider. What happened here?

Hi,

I’ve used Cyclone sliders throughout my site. When I switch to mobile the text on the title of the slider is huge and covers the whole image. Is there anyway to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
