I have used this plugin for more than 3 years now and I am very pleased with it. I don’t want a plugin that chooses compatible posts itself, thus slowing my page down. Rather I want one where I can do the choosing and the plugin puts it on the page with minimum fuss. Which is exactly what this plugin does. What’s more, when I had a minor layout issue, and ask for support, I got a quick answer that resolved the issue. So thanks for a useful plugin that simply works.

Simple and light, it is all I need for my project. The Gutenberg integration is pretty cool and UI is easy to work with. Thank you.

I want to control the links as needed. This plugin provides that functionality with a simple implementation.
It is a bit basic in appearance, but with a bit of CSS work, you can make it look as you want quite easily.

It is a good plugin, simple and objective, but, the HTML is not encapsulated, the title is out of markup, this made my formatting a bit more complex.

Thank you for plugin and documentation!
P.S. but add wrapper div ??
div.crp-list-wrapper
– h3.crp-list-title
– div.crp-list

The plugin is easy to manage and works perfectly. When I had a minor problem, their e-mail support responded within minutes and was able to help me out immediately. Highly recommended.

My biggest issue with this plugin is that you cannot drag and drop to re-order related posts. You have to add/delete them and they will be positioned randomly.
This plugin delivers the basic function of adding related posts but the UI is pretty basic and lacks features that would make managing related posts easier.

Thank you, great plugin.
BUT:
1- If you use the plugin for example for a year, hundreds of posts will contain the short code, which is ok. But for any reasons you decide to deactivate/remove the plugin or the plugin incompatibility in the future. All posts will show the text of the shortcode as a text in the post, which sucks.
*The plugin should automatically remove or deactivator all shortcodes in the posts after deactivation or removal of the plugin. Or make it an option in settings.
2- When you remove the plugin, it will not remove any settings or tables from WP, which is good in case you want temporary uninstalling the plugin for any reason. But if you want to remove the plugin completely with all data and settings, it will stay,
*The plugin should have the option: Delete all data/settings when uninstall.
Thanks.

The best free plugin for what it does. Thanks!
I only wish we could edit the shortcode to default options like modifying the “Related Posts” placeholder text or make the links bolded (Yes, I know you can simply bold the shortcode).
I’m very satisfied with it, though.

I was looking for a custom post plugin that allows me manually link (logically) related posts instead of relying on some algorithm. Thanks for creating this plugin. It worked like charm!

This plugin is easy to configure, powerful and really does the job. I needed some help customizing its appearance and the author responded within hours. I can’t recommend this plugin too highly!

The design of this plugin is different and very well thought out. Unlike other similar plugins, this one gives you the opportunity to choose the associated posts yourself. This is very interesting.

GOOD WORK, IT WORKS PERFECTLY, BUT CAN THE SHOTCODE BE INSERTED AUTOMATICALLY?
On the page does not show thumbnails, would you know why?

This plugin works right out of the box. I got up and running with minimal configuration. I used it to display woocommerce products on a custom port type. Nice work!

I wanted to be able to manually choose which pages linked to each other, so selected Custom Related Posts from the reviews comparing alternatives. It does exactly what I wanted and gives the option of one way or both way links.
Using the Block function I’m able to place links beneath my content exactly as I had hoped for.
Having links within a Block is really helpful, once I finally understood that the option existed, that is, and finally understood how to use them.
The support is excellent, I don’t know how Brecht ever gets any sleep!!

This plugin makes creating related posts very comfortable!
Thank you very much for this plugin!

It’s clean, fast, easy to use and has nearly all you need. What I love the most is that you don’t need to save the post again after you change some links. Keep up the great work!

I wanted to be able to search for an select the posts I wanted, and only on certan posts. A manual process was what I needed – but with about 1,500 posts (we’re a news site, primarily), I just didn’t have time to exit the post, find the ones I wanted, copy the URL, then go back into the site and paste them in. This plugin lets me do it right within the post editor.
For now, I’m using the shortcode in the body of the post. I’m going to take a look at the widget as well.
Thank you for this plugin!

A great plugin which very simply allows you to link to posts or pages that you choose. So much better than others which have to best-guess links, which may be out of date, according to tags or categories. Another great feature is the ability to get the post or page to which you are linking to link back to your current page too. I was also impressed by the excellent support from the plugin’s author who responded speedily and offered continued assistance until my issue was resolved.
At the moment I use the plugin as a widget in a sidebar. If I had to make a request for future development, it would be to allow the inclusion of a featured imaged for each post, and for it to be placed after the post, as an alternative to other, less flexible offerings.
Highly recommended!

Hi, I really like the idea of this plugin, it’s simple, unique, powerful.
I do have a few suggestions that I think would make this plugin even more powerful than it already is.
Here they are:
1. The option to include the related posts featured image and excerpt.
2. The option to customize the html output.
I would really love to see those additions to the plugin.
Best regards.

I rarely make reviews but this plug-in reserves it. The most flexible and very easy to use plug-in I’ve seen after testing dozens of plug-ins for linking products and blog posts.
Creates a very easy to use admin interface to manually link WordPress objects, including WooCommerce objects.
Congratulations for the developers!
Any small comment on the negative side: seems to be an early version with low level of documentation. More features and better documentation is suggested for shortcode insert of the related items.

It’s an ongoing battle to make sure people keep clicking and make it easy to alert readers to other relevant content. My content requires manual control over selecting related posts, but this plugin provides some basic automation to this tedious task by cross linking the posts so that I only have to select it on one side.
The author is extremely responsive and pleasant to forum posts with new feature requests. Impressive!
As so many wordpress plugins are being abandoned, it’s great to see someone sticking with it and creating something unique and helpful.

Works as advertised and it’s really easy to combine the different posts. The one improvement I would like to have is another level of sorting, e.g. tag and alphabetically.

i tried several related-posts-plugins, but this is exactly what i’ve been looking for, especially the bidirectionality! it’s easy to use and does what it should.
and with great help from brecht, i could even adapt it to my own needs (show custom field values) – excellent and super-fast support!
thanks, julia
