Hi, I’m using your wonderful and useful plugin in (one of) my website. I’d like to filter the output of the widget by category, but its code is too much for my little knowledge ??
Just as an example, I have the custom field “region” that I use in my posts. There are 2 categories: “done” and “to do”. I’d like that the plugin can show the value of the custom field “river” (and links to posts) just for posts of category “done”, and exclude posts from category “to do”.
Thanks for help and for the plugin.

]]>Hi Tim,
I can help you with the translation of this plugin into Spanish.
I’m a native Spanish translator and do not have much work right now, so I can finish this up in a day or two.
Can you send me the latest .PO files?
I know I can do this with the WordPress Translation Editor, but it is too slow, I prefer to translate directly the PO files with POEDIT.
I will just ask you to include me in the credits with a link to my website.
Is this ok with you?
Bets regards,
I’ve been looking for how to add content to the lists so I populate the widget with values.
Any post/hint would be appreciated.
Regards

He has not been updated for two years. But the plugin is very good.
Hi,
This plugins works great. Except one thing:
When I activate the widget and fill in the the custom field name, the widget shows wrong postnames. See screenshot behind the link
It shows the excact database entries like:
> a:1:{i:0;s:4:”Open”;}
But it only has to show:
> Open
Do you know how I can solve this?

Todays its possible to sort the list.
But need to make a limit the result to example 10 posts. And not showing paging.

]]>First, let me say that this plugin is fantastic, and critical to how my site will operate from here on in. What I do is post tutorials interspersed with posts of other types –making the tutorials a ‘live’ event, yet people can always jump in at any time using the list created by this plugin;
https://opendesignproject.org/
The lists are middle left.
The only problem I gave run into is that in the ‘Custom Fields’ section of WordPress, the drop-down for selecting a custom field name only shows about 30 items in alphabetical order. Other plugins have populated the list with lots of numerical custom fields which are displayed first, causing the ones I created to be bumped off the list.
If I paste or type in the name, it will work, but I would really like the names in the list.
I am guessing the problem is a WordPress one –some king of limit on what to show. Does anyone know where this limit is coded so that I can remove it?
Again, I love this plugin and offer my sincerest gratitude to the hard work of the author(s).

]]>Hello, I just installed Custom Field List Widget and I think it is just what I need.
However. The install went okay but I am unable to save the settings on the Settings page (not the Widget, that works just fine).
Pressing the “Save changes” button brings up my Not found screen, like wordpress/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=widget_custom_field_list.php
Any suggestion ?
