I installed bbp-private-groups on a multisite and network activated. I was then unable to add/edit dashboard messages on a subsite. Messages continued to display on the dashboard, they just cannot be created or edited: “There has been a critical error on this website.”
When I disable bbp-private-groups I can once again create and edit dashboard messages.
I have also reported this conflict to bbp-private-groups as I cannot know which side or both the conflict originates.
We need both of you, hope something somewhere can be fixed!
Thank you.
This plugin was updated barely a month ago in November, all was good. But now with theme and all else updating to match the WordPress 5.6.0 release, warning messages appear on the admin screens. The errors do not show on the public view, only on the admin screens, and usually prevents them from reloading. All admin screens, not just the main dashboard.
When I deactivate this plugin the errors go away, thus I am reporting to you. I hope this can be fixed as I really like this plugin.
Here are the warning messages:
Warning: array_flip() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/wp-admin/includes/menu.php on line 280
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/wp-admin/includes/menu.php:280) in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6360

Thank you.
]]>Updated to 2.2 and lost dashboard display of existing posts.
On two websites, WordPress 5.5.1 and 5.5.2.
Going back to 2.1 restored dashboard display.
I was looking into PHP7 compatibility of my plugins before making the jump and noticed a ton of errors causing this site to rate it as not php7 compatible. Any thoughts on this?

]]>I have much appreciated using this plugin on several sites. Except now when adding it to yet another site I receive the message “The plugin generated 2427 characters of unexpected output during activation…” So I must deactivate it. Uninstall, reinstall, deactivated all other plugins, etc. Always same errors when attempting to activate this plugin. Same WP version, same theme, same php level as other sites where it works. Any idea if there is a setting to be changed somewhere on WP or the host? Hope this can be fixed, thank you!
]]>Let’s say I only want authors, or maybe contributors and higher to see posted messages. Is there an option for this? I snagged the plugin hoping to communicate to authors but everyone including regular subscribers can see it, which killed the moment for me. Maybe, each post can have a roll select option, like categories in a post. So you can delegate each post separately. That would be absolutely amazing.
