A client saw this plugin on another site and asked me to install it.
It was easy to setup and get working, I really like that Admin must approve a submitted rating before public view.

I used the “amr shortcode any widget” plugin to load the Cosmick Star Rating widget into my form submission page so I could control how many ratings were displayed above the form.

We have installed this plugin on around 35 different client sites and there is not one issue. What we do face is the latency issues it takes google to crawl and eventually show the ratings. That’s out of our hands.

This plugin does its job very effectively. It is very straightforward to install and activate, It gives you, via a shortcode you put into a page, a form on the site which users can fill out with a review and star rating, which is then visible to site admin as a draft. Once approved it shows as a post under “reviews” and shows the rating and text. There is also a widget which can be used to display recent reviews in a sidebar etc, and codes which can be very simply added to page templates to show an aggregated star rating. Admin can also readily edit the form itself.

Ratings show up in Google’s webmaster-tools structured data tool.

The plugin’s author, Craig of Cosmick Technologies, was extremely helpful, prompt and efficient, when contacted with some queries about this plugin.
