I’m trying to upgrade a site from PHP 8.0 to PHP 8.2, but the Contests by Rewards Fuel plugin was causing the site to crash (500 error). I did the update with the plugin disabled, and it worked fine. When I tried to enable the plugin after the upgrade, I got the following information:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Deprecated: Use of “self” in callables is deprecated in /nas/content/live/seminary/wp-content/plugins/contests-from-rewards-fuel/includes/Class_rf.php on line 14

I have not had a problem with your plugin yet, but I’ve been tracking down PHP 8 upgrade troubles with some other plugins due to “undefined constants” causing fatal errors. Example: $_SERVER[REQUEST_URI] throws a fatal error, as PHP 7 would implicitly convert REQUEST_URI to a constant, but PHP 8 won’t.
I noticed your Class_rf.php file had a few of these (as well as a couple occurrences of $_SERVER[HTTP_HOST]).
Are you planning on changing these to $_SERVER[‘REQUEST_URI’] at some point?
Thanks!

This happens in both the web app, and from WordPress plugin.
The issue is in at least 10 of the 45 contents we have created.
Try this one [RF_CONTEST contest=’C23237363734′]

We’ve emailed this question twice to info@rewardsfuel, with no response.
Where exactly does the Action entry codes script go? In
? (Does not appear to work there.)
There is no support documentation to be found, and gave up searching through the blog posts.
Please advise.
Thanks!

To reproduce this problem….
– Make a copy of a contest with Youtube Subscribe.
– Change the channel to another channel.
– You will note the modified channel displays correctly, but Enter Now goes to the previous channel.
No, it’s not a browser cache issue. I have a team of 6 testers, in different countries, reporting the same problem.
You can also see the issue here >> https://aviationsynergy.com/rewards/
You will note the channel Aviation Synergy in Youtube Subscribe.
However, when you click Enter Now, it goes to this channel >> https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrQKlWDPs0WNZU2O-993k9w
… which is the channel in the contest, that the Aviation Synergy was copied from.

Where can we find the dev documentation for this product?
For example….
Where does on one place the Action Entry Codes script?
It does not seem to work on the
area.

Hello, is there any support for this product?
We have just started paying, and it’s disconcerting that support seems sparse.
Also, the software is buggy. for example….
Click on YouTube Subscribe here >> https://dejavudays.com/giveaway/
The displayed channel is correct, in this case DejaVudays.
However, the “Enter Now”, goes to another channel, Herby’s Channel. This is the channel that was in the contest, that DejaVuDays was copied from.
Please respond to the support emails. You did not report to the last one, regarding where the script should go.
Many thanks!
HI,
I’m planning a video contest.
Participants will send me links to their videos in YouTube.
There will be 25-30 short videos participating the contest. I need to have a page to showcase them, so people can watch and then vote for a specific video. It is important that each visitor can vote only once.
I also need the number of votes of each video to be visible.
Is it possible to run the contest using your plugin? If not, can you recommend another one?
Thanks
Be careful when buying services from Rewards Fuel.
I used this plugin last year and since it was poorly translated to Brazilian Portuguese i offer the translation in exchange of a 3 months subscription.
Because of some DDOS protection they use and since my website is located in Brazil, there was some incompatibility so i never used it, despite having properly provided the said translation and delivered completely done. Since it was not a Rewards Fuel fault, i let that be.
To my surprise, one year after this, i realized that i was being charged for the plugin every month in a total of U$ 91,87 without taxes.
I told this to Rochelle, the person that i negotiate the exchange and the woman i think is behind the service, she said she was going to check it out and now she doesn’t answer me anymore. This was 2 months ago.
I was charged for U$ 91,87 in services i never used despite having delivered what we agreed upon and never got anything in return.
I live in Brazil and i don′t know who to ask for help like a consumer protection service or something, so i am opening this topic so people can know what kind of person is behind this plugin, is the least i can do.
Hello
Could you confirm if a payment system can be integrated? Paypal or Stripe?
I would like to set up a competition that they answer a question to, if they answer the question correctly then they enter their payment details and get a ticket to enter the raffle.
I want to be able to see the tickets and details of those who can entered the raffle.
I am Still seeing contest powered by rewards fuel after subscribing to the pro plan.
Please i would need a quick response on how to go about preventing it from displaying.
I was curious about your feature set. I was wondering if your plugin would work for users to created contests or if its only for admins. Also, does this integrate at all with Buddy Press or BBPress?
