This is a great option for a simple slider. I’ve used it on a couple of sites now. It’s simple and straightforward, and very easy to implement.
When I need more customization options I’ll go for a premium slider plugin; but when I just need a basic slider without any fancy bells and whistles, WordPress Content Slide does the job perfectly.

I love this plugin. However, I wish it had the option to add multiple sliders on your site i.e. slider1, slider2, etc..
Right now it’s limited to only 1 slider use.

The only thing that could be slightly confusing for a new wp user is to know in which php file to place the code. I did it within page.php, b/c I have specified a page as the home page.

Appears to be working great, but cannot center it on my page (I have it as my header). There should be more documentation detailing how to do these simple functions. I’m new to wordpress and PHP editing.

Have to be able to use PHP at least minimally to use this plugin. Had to dig around a little (no link on Help & Support admin page) to find that you’ve got to invoke it with PHP.
To display WordPress content slide on your website you have to add following lines of code inside your themes .php files.

I might use it on my own site, but my clients would be completely out of their depth!
Not that it would help my clients, but one might expect at least some shortcodes for invoking in a post or page.

On the plus side I like the way the admin can precisely limit who has access to the various parts of the plugin.
But there are so many negatives:
– Slideshows aren’t individually stylable. There’s only one size setting you use to specify all your galleries.
– Doesn’t allow bulk upload of photos.
– Photos aren’t added to the media library and so don’t benefit from great editing functionality.
– For some reason, it cuts off large portions of big photos whether or not I set the Resize Images option.
– Slideshow elements don’t line up well with each other. Perhaps this is related to use of *{box-sizing:border-box;} that so many web authors use on their sites.

This does what you would expect it to do, and it does it well. The main feature I was looking for was a slideshow that does not pull from posts. executed nicely.

I like this slider for simplicity. One piece of code to show it, one page of settings. For a simple slider, it works fine. But, if you want to customize it, good luck.
The developer has a nice plugin here, but provides no documentation on implementing customs styles. So, short of editing the source files (somethings I don’t like or recommend), you’re stuck with the options provided. Not that there aren’t a decent amount of options, but there’s no way to change the navigation buttons, use your own fonts or change the default layout.
So, if you like a slider with text at the bottom over a semi-transparent background, it’s fine. If you want to do something else with it, this slider isn’t what you’re looking for.

This plugin is very simple for user, and very effective, just what I want to achieve, I’ve searched for a while similar tools, many others are much more complicated in settings, this one has a clear and practical setting panel with a less required fields to produce a practical display, even a freshman could fill it quickly. Great thanks.
