Can you fix the issue of the update message not dismissing despite me clicking on the X?

The message that goes: Contact Form 7 Captcha plugin updated to support reCAPTCHA and hCAPTCHA.

captcha is not working, I can’t check the box for ‘no robot’ and therefore I can’t submit the form.

Even if I make it work for my browser how do I make sure it works for all clients who want to submit a form? I have already had complaints from someone that they can’t submit the form. I can’t make them change their browser settings.

Hi, I integrated your plugin into my form created with Contact Form 7.
The amount of SPAM is significantly reduced, but the emails still continue to arrive despite the captcha.
As if the BOT can validate the captcha.

Hello! I have a problem with the plugin. By checking the site speed at https://pagespeed.web.dev/, you can see the slow speed for the mobile version. This happens when the plugin is installed. But when I remove the plugin, the result is much better. Can you tell me what the reason is?

First plugin did not work until I deleted the site key and secret from contact form 7’s integrations page (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpcf7-integration).

Second, it saves erroneous backslashes in the options, like Invalid captcha error message because it uses the raw (backslash-escaped) $_POST variables and passes them through sanitize_text_field() which is meant for HTML (it escapes into HTML entities). You might want to use wp_strip_all_tags() but you at least need to do stripslashes() (and probably trim()) on them first.

After working around those, the plugin operates as expected.

I have been digging this issue for days, searching and reading possible answers and tweaking many things but still can’t reach a valid and strong email handling in my contact form.

Currently the situation is :
CF7 is used for the contact form
hCaptcha is used for spam control*

My problem is that sometimes email are perfectly sent but most of the times, they are blocked and considered as spam. And I can identify why. I fill form with tests strings but try to use natural language, avoiding problematic words and so on.

I wish I could get my emails to work most of the time when the content is “valid” but I am far from this at this point. I am more than wilfull to check, fix or do whatever is needed but I am lacking ideas here. Any hints welcome.

“If you are using contact form 7 and noticed your form is not displaying google recaptcha anymore, that is because there is a problem with latest contact form 7 version 5.1. They did updates to recaptcha and didn’t test it properly. To fix this issue you need to load the previous version of the form.”

How can I obtain previous versions of the Contact Form Captcha?

I added this button to our Contact Form by following the instructions and pasting the code snippet before the submit button. The captcha and submit button both work on Safari but they will not work on Google Chrome. Any ideas?

This plugin does not work. The “free” one points to the Pro, the Pro is also free but does not work. Just circular referenced between the two plugins.

I have installed the plugin and i got the Recaptcha option in contact form, But still i’m getting spam messages since the recaptcha field isn’t a required field.

Have registered the V2 Captcha, the one with a tickbox, but no such tickbox appears. Have reinstalled the FORM 7 element in the builder and checked that the ‘site key’ is in the code at least. It is.
Have tried on Safari and Chrome. Nothing there.

Hello. Do you have a changelog for this plugin? I like to know what has been updated in a plugin version change before running the update in my sites.

When a validation error occurs on one field, then the user corrects the error and attempts to resubmit, the Captcha gives an error that the request could not be submitted. Is there a way to refresh the Captcha immediately when the Contact form submission results in validation errors?

After adding the reCaptcha, every time a user submits the form it generates a message saying “Validation errors occurred. Please confirm the fields and submit again.”

I am having a problem with the submit button when using Chrome and Safari. It works fine in Edge and IE 11. Also, the submit button works fine in Chrome when I deactivate Contact Form 7 Captcha plugin.

I’m using this plugin with wordpress version 5.2.2. When I’m clicking on submit button for empty form, captcha is disappearing for few seconds and appears when error message comes. It is taking more load time then usual. Please suggest.
