We’re using conference scheduler in session mode. I would like to show all sessions and workshops on default (instead of showing everything hidden under the main sessions on default).
How could that be accomplished? Checking with the browser’s inspector, I noticed that the button adds the .open class to the sessions with javascript, but this is where my web design skills end.
thank you for your help!
]]>So, I have a Workshop which will be happening at different times throughout the day. how so I get all the times to display on one page for that specific workshop?
]]>I would like to make quick links to each session so it has a page of its own, and have all the classes for that session open in full width format (1 column) with the details of the classes, so if someone just wants to read all the information for all the classes offered in that session, they wont have to keep clicking. Then I can have “ALL CLASSES” as the default setting this plugin provides, but make individual pages – for example “10am Workshops” page will have all the workshops from that session listed on the page with their details all open so they can just scroll and read, and favorite from there. Thanks for you assistance.
]]>I’ve told the classes to disable registration and it does not remove the button. I need to have them register differently and will do this on the backend. how can i remove the registration button since the disable does not work.
]]>This could be an amazing plugin if it worked well. I’ve spent an obscene amount of time the past few days trying to make this plugin look how it does in the demonstration. After getting it switched to timeline view so I could put my workshops in my pre-created sessions, I went through and did a bunch of classes to get started (I’ll have 50+ more to add). The page still shows as a one column list of the workshops, even though I’ve tried changing it back and forth to horizontal tabs, and vertical, saving, refreshing, everything. Nothing works. Adding columns to see if it would snap to the grid if there were 4 instead of 3, and it never did anything. Its only showing as a long list which would only be desirable on mobile. Created themes for the type of classes so I could color code for type of class. I followed the instructions for the additional css to create the color with hex for each theme slug so they would be color coordinated. That doesn’t work either. There also isn’t a “key” anywhere near the top for me to tell people which color is for what kind of class, so in a way it seems like if I CAN get it work, it would just look colorful with no purpose.
I paid for the pro expecting more functionality but so far its not been worth it. The basic ‘register’ for the class button is there at the bottom and that works, I tested it and got an email as expected. I like that people can see what they have signed up for in a tickets box, thats awesome and a major reason I wanted the plugin because people are always asking ME before the event what classes they have signed up for. BUT there is no way for me to create a payment link for those classes if someone goes to register. They are classes with specific educators who need paid for those classes directly either via paypal or eventbrite. I don’t know if there is a way to add that in, so it says “Registration Pending, Payment Required” and have a link or something. But without a way for someone to fully register and pay for their workshop, than the pro is useless to me and I’ll just have to use a wpform and have those registration separate.
Thanks, I hope you can help make this function.
]]>I did create all the sessions first as instructed. I’m now making classes but there is no where for me to select the session that the workshop goes into. It creates a NEW session with random numbers as the title even if I’ve created a session that it should fall into. I would think there would be an easy way to assign a workshop I’ve just created to a session and if its somewhere I’m not seeing it. HELP!
]]>Is there a setting to expand the sessions per day by default – instead of the user having to click the top session hierarchy to expand? I want it to take up more space then the compressed default view.
]]>Hello! Thanks for a great plugin. I’m finding when you use the ‘star’ feature to select workshops, when you click ‘show picks’ it keeps everything in the same session as the pick visible, not just the starred workshop. Any ideas why that is happening? I do have nested sessions (so that the larger session has the sessions within it collapsed). Would that be causing part of the issue?
]]>Can the URL of this plugin be hidden unless someone has registered?
We run a virtual conference, and giving away the URL before someone has paid for it is obviously bad ??
I’m sure we could manage it some other way aside from the plugin, but it would be great if this was built-in.
]]>I have not yet purchased this plugin, before I do, I need to know if it can manage Kanji/Katakana, and Hiragana characters/type. TIA.
]]>Can you help me get more information on the pro version of this plugin?
]]>Your pro site is down
]]>Great plugin. Thx. However, I have an issue with the paradigm (might be my understanding of it). Currently, you set up sessions (which is where the time is set). Then, nested within the session, is the workshop, which is where you list the presenter, but no time. Now imagine you have a day conference with 20 – to avoid confusion let’s call it – ‘talks’. So you have twenty talks. That means that you have to create 20 ‘sessions’ and then within each session, you have to create one workshop. If you don’t, you will not have both time and presenter info. This approach has another problem, it means that: not having an associated time, if you have three sequential workshops in one session, you cannot put them in the right order. So even if you do not want to show the time, the order is still wrong.
Is it important to assign times to the workshop? Indeed, if nothing else in a virtual world, so that the speaker knows at what time they speak.
In short, I would love to use this application for all of our conferences, I love the way they look on the front end, but I am really confused on how to use it without multiple entries (yes, I assume that with ‘pro’ I can import, but it still forces me to create a session/workshop tandem every time.
Thoughts?
Thanks!!
]]>Is this plugin still maintained? I have a pro license and I’m having some difficulty with it. I tried the support form here — https://myceliumdesign.ca/conference-scheduler-pro/#support – but the form never seemed to submit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
]]>I was wondering if it was possible to create user-based schedules, so specific workshops could be linked to a user, after which a schedule is created to this specific user?
I guess linking a workshop to a user could be done with ACF, so maybe only the user-specific schedule is a thing you can add, in this case.
It would be even cooler if a user could choose their own workshops, which then get linked to the user through behind the scenes, but I guess that would be outside the scope of this plugin.
]]>We have the Conference Scheduler Pro plugin, and we used the import feature to populate all sessions and workshops for our summer conference. The information looks correct in the admin interface and the page with the shortcode, but every time we edit an event, we see the error: “The editor has encountered an unexpected error” with options to attempt recovery, copy post text, or copy the error.
I opened every workshop post and converted all of the default “Classic” blocks created from the import to the new Gutenberg blocks, but the error still appears.
The edits we make are saved correctly, but refreshing the workshops screen to clear that error every time we update a workshop is an impediment to our workflow. We’re on WordPress version 5.7.2.
Here’s what’s generated when I select “copy error.” The referenced scripts are all WordPress includes, not from other plugins that could be deactivated.

Hello.
Finally I have a schedule in which I have 4 simultaneous sessions, with 3 workshops each. Here you can see how it appears in the “Mesas simultáneas 1” session and the “Mesa 1”, “Mesa 2” etc. sessions. But now I have a problem: the workshops, which take place at the same time, appear one below the other. I don’t understand why is that. Actually, in the Excel table I have a different hour for each workshop (each lasts 20 minutes), but the start time of the workshop is always the time of the session (Mesa 1, por example). That doesn’t bother me, but what does bother me is that the three workshops are not grouped in the same row. How can I fix this? It’s the only thing I have to solve in order to be sure that this is the tool I need. I will buy it if I can solve this issue. Thanks!
All right, now I am trying the demo version to make a demo of the Congress program. But I can’t understand some things. I don’t understand how the hierarchy of the sessions works. I don’t understand very well, actually, what a session is supposed to be. Let’s say I have four different workshops, each one with 3 participants, all at the same time (one after the other in each of the workshop). So, for example, at 10:00 there are 4 different workshops, each one with 3 participants. Participant #1 of workshops 1, 2, 3 and 4 start at 10:00. Participants #2 of workshops 1, 2 3 and 4 start at 10:20 and so no. Now, what I did was create a session for each separate workshop. So I have, let’s say, session 1, 2, 3 and 4, all start at the same time. Then I created 12 different workshops (what you call workshops, but in this case are individual presentations) and I did relate every individual workshop to the corresponding session. But I can’t see the 12 workshops displayed. I only see the first of every session. I don’t know what I am doing wrong, but I have been for hours trying everything and I can’t fix it. I am starting to think I am really stupid.
]]>Hello. I don’t have a lot of experience with WP, but I am intuitive and generally I learn how to use a tool really fast. Now, I installed this plugin because it’s exactly what I need for the Conference I am organizing. Yet, I really don’t understand how it works. I have created workshops, sessions, keywords, etc. to see what happens and understand, but nothing happens. I don’t understand, for example, how do I create a new page with the schedule. When I create a workshop and I publish it, I get the following error:
https://vicongresoalfa.up.edu.mx/workshops/prueba-2/
I am really lost. IS there a video or a manual with a step-by-step guide for dummies? I don’t even have an actual question. My question is: how do I start? How do I create the schedule and start editing. If I can understand how it works, surely my university will buy the pro version for the conference (it is an international conference). I just need to find out if it works for me and if I can use it.
]]>Hi,
first of all – thanks for creating this nice conference plugin.
I’ve got a question concerning limitation. Is there a way to limit the number of participants per conference(-day) who are able to register for different workshops / sessions? Lets say, we have a venue with 50 beds or limited capacity of 50 person for food and beverages.
best regards
Andreas
Some of our presentation descriptions contain hyperlinks. When a user clicks a link in an expanded workshop element, the workshop immediately closes with the slide-up animation, and then the browser navigates to the linked website. An example on our conference program is the second workshop of the Preconference, “Explorations of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Cataloging.”
This behavior is confusing because the user can’t tell for a few seconds or more whether they clicked the link or missed. Is it possible to prevent the default closing/opening behavior of workshops for child hyperlinks?
]]>When a user selects a theme or keyword in the filter form, all days and sessions open, and only workshops are shown or hidden. If a session has no workshops that meet the criteria, it remains visible and open but empty.
This means users must scroll past many irrelevant sessions to reach the content they wanted to see. (For example, someone who wants to see the program sessions for our upcoming conference must scroll past a whole day of preconference sessions first.) Some also forget they selected a filter, think the sessions are collapsed, and click on them–but nothing happens. Only then do they realize they have to scroll back to the top and reset the form if they want to see other information.
Is it possible to hide the sessions and days with no workshops that meet selected criteria? I don’t see a CSS class I could use to target these headings.
]]>The documentation says “Picked workshops are stored as a cookie on the device and are thus saved between visits.”
However, when I test “picking” sessions, closing the browser, and visiting the page again, clicking “Show My Picks” displays no sessions.
When I check the contents of the cookie named conf_scheduler_picks for our domain in Chrome, the expiration is set to “When the browsing session ends.”
]]>After updating to the latest version today, all dates and times on workshops display as “Tue-” instead of the proper date and time of the session.
]]>Howdy,
Is there a way to set the workshop color by theme? I have defined a set of themes such as registration/hospitality, training, technical track. How do I customize the colors by theme? I can manually do each one, but thought there might be a quicker way. I’m not very skilled at CSS, so if that’s the way to do it, I’ll need some step by step instructions. Thanks in advance.
I’m thinking this plug-in will work for our conference if I can figure out how to set the times on the workshop posts. Right now they all say 4pm to 4pm.
How can I set the correct start and end times on workshops?
]]>The conference scheduler is working great except for the workshop selection stars. The selection process is working as it should for the most part. When a workshop is selected, it moves to the left and is responsive to the “show my picks” filter. However, the stars are always black regardless if the workshop is selected or not. The screenshots I’ve seen of this plug in show the stars being white when not selected and yellow when selected. Can you tell me how I can fix the issue? Thank you.
]]>Hi, Is it possible to have the workshops displayed uncollapsed by default?

]]>Hello,
I am trying out your plugin which seems almost perfect for our needs. One aspect that is important to us is due to the annual nature of our conference. Can this plugin be used multiple years without having to clear out all previous conference info?
Any clarification you can provide will be greatly appreciated!
