I just installed this to replace another comment reply notification plugin that didn’t work with my email service. I have some subscriptions from the previous plugin that I would like to add to your plugin, but you don’t provide a way to manage subscriptions. I made a comment on one of my posts and searched for my email address in the WP database but didn’t find anything that looked like a subscription table. Is there any way to do this?

I have it installed and activated. When I comment I can select to have the notifications, and I see the suscriptions in the administration panel, but I don’t recibe emails, and with the mail log plugin I don’t see them sent.

My wordpress sends without problems other type of mails as coments for aprobals and so. Do you know why?

Hi! People will only receive notification when they receive a direct reply to their comment right?

How about when a new comment is added to the post, which doesn’t directly reply to the person? Will the person receive an email notification?

I prefer to have the option of both, so that they may come back and join the discussion, just like on social media.

Even if you disable and delete this plugin from the dashboard, the email sending function for comments still works.
How can I delete it completely?

The site I’m creating is aimed at children, so I don’t want them to share each other’s email addresses, so I would like to delete it.

I want to change the “from” field in the emails that my website visitors receive. Currently it is something like
WordPress?<[email protected]>

It would be great if a future update of this plugin could address changing this from the plugin settings

I tried it with a test comment using an actual email address and then replied to the comment using another actual email address but did not receive any email on the first one.

Any idea how this could work?

Am I missing something or is there no mechanism for commenters to unsubscribe after having subscribed? From what I’m seeing, the only way to do that would be for the commenter to try and contact the site owner and ask to have their email address deleted from the comment or the comment deleted.

I think in order to be compliant with the various privacy laws it’s necessary to offer commenters such a feature so they don’t end up on a potentially unwanted email chain for all eternity every time someone responds to their comment.

It is possible for a blogger to subscribe to receive notifications about any comments left on their posts, or is it only for replies to other comments?

It would be good if you could let us customize the From header of the wp_mail function when you are sending the notifications.

Not all of us want to have the admin email exposed, and would prefer some sort of do-not-reply kind of mail address for these notifications.

I’ve downloaded /activated the plugin and configured the checkbox to be ticked. I’ve also added the custom CSS for the space between check box and label. But not being an expert, I don’t know why the label “Notify me via e-mail if anyone answers my comment.” wraps around and is not on one line.

I would like Users to receive comment notification whenever a comment is posted (not just a reply to their own comment). Taking it further – notification is sent to Users registered in a membership plugin….or allow me to subscribe said users manually for a single post.

Can this be done here?

I’ve looked at both the theme template and the translations strings in Loco translate and I see no option to remove the blog name from the email subject line. How can I remove the “[Blogname] – ” from the email subject?

Does this plugin support headless WordPress? I am using WordPress as a CMS only and the front end website creates comments which does not seem to trigger any notifications when it gets a reply.

I have the Check the subscription checkbox by default field checked under plugin settings.

I’ve a problem with all comments with this plugin, since 27/10/22 I don’t receive any new comment in my blog.

Today I’m testing it and when I deactivate the Comment Reply Email Notification plugin I can create new comments without problems. I was testing with a default theme and I deleted and reinstall this plugin and fails again.

Can be an incompatibility with the latest wordpress updates?

I have gone to Settings > Discussion and checked “Email me whenever – Anyone posts a comment” but I am not receiving email notifications before the comment is added to the site. What am I doing worng?

The plugin works great with the regular wordpress posts, but it doesn’t send any notification while I reply to customers who asked about the products. (I use woocommerce)
It would be nice if you had the option to send email notification after repling to the customers. (making the plugin compatible with woocommerce comments)

The comment boxes and its config are from WordPress, there’s no Learndash “comment boxes” sort of thing. It’s all done by WP.
