I've been trying to configure the plugin to display all recent comments on posts from new to old without the new comment entry form on that page. 
Couldn't find the settings to do that. Can you attach a screenshot with the correct settings. 
I am not getting a list of comments displayed.

The plugin installed correctly.
I am using the optional add-in wpDisquz

Is there by any chance a way to export entries of the guestbook with all fields to a CSV or XML file? When using the regular WordPress Exporter the Guestbook Comments don’t show up as own kind of post type.
We are creating a complete new site and want to re-import all guestbook entries (109) to the new site.

I want to change the older / newer comments text in Dutch.
I tried everything: locotranslate plugin, searched all plugin files for clues. Can’t find it. Does anybody have s solution?

I love the possibilities of customization, which comment-guestbook gives us. Yet, I can’t find a solution for the following problem. I searched the forum before.

In the second tab of the “Comment Guestbook Settings” I can change the text shown in “notes before form fields”. If I do so, the text changes. Good! Problem: The margins chance, as well. The new text has no margin-bottom (or padding-bottom) at all and sticks to the following form field (“comment”), which looks not good. If I leave the text “default”, there is some margin-bottom (or padding-bottom), though. It drives me crazy that I kill the spaces just by altering the text.

I tried to add custom CSS in “Custom form styles”, but I could not get it working.

In short: All I want is some space under the “comment_notes_before” when I change their text.

Any help is very appreciated! (By the way: I use DIVI theme, but this shouldn’t make any difference, should it?)

Hello, I just added this plugin to my site. I have 2 approved comments, but neither of them are showing up. I was hoping they would appear below the form. Can you please advise? Thank you!

Dear people,

Until now, there have been 6 people commenting my website in the guestbook. These comments are shown in the widget on the homepage. It shows all the comments, but I only want a maximum of 3 comments to be shown, with a scroll bar on the side to view the rest. How do I do that?

Dear people,

I am trying to change the moderator’s mail address from mine to that of my client’s.
I thought this would do by changing the admin mail address in WordPress itself from mine to my client’s, but to no avail. Secondly I deleted the plug-in and installed it fresh again, but testing it again made the plug-in send a mail to my mail address in stead of my client’s, giving the notification for a new guestbook comment.
How can I make it so that new guestbook comments notifications are sent to my client’s in stead of my own mail address?

Hey! I love this plugin and 0.7.3 works amazingly well for me! Thank you so much for building it! <3

Once I updated to 0.7.4, the whole site failed (see image). I removed the “comment-guestbook” plugin folder via ftp and the site worked again, so there’s some sort of incompatibility happening. Could also of course be my theme (lay theme) which is sort of limiting structurally.

In the meantime, I’ve reverted to 0.7.3 for now. Hope this helps you debug any potential issues!

Hi,

I just installed the Comment Guestbook plugin, customized it, got 2 new comments from clients, approved it but nothing showed on the page.

I checked different topics here, and followed the FAQ steps (enabled the option “Show the comment list in the page content”) but still nothing ??

I’m using themify Ultra for customization.

I’m kinda new with all this.

Hi There! First of all thank you for making such a great plugin! I’ve been a user for quite sometime now. But there is one thing that doesn’t seem to work when ever I change the settings. Newest comments first does’t work it just leaves the oldest comments first? Is there something I can do?

Can you set the notification of a new comment to arrive at the email from the editor, or only arrive at the administrator

This is a great guestbook. I would like to require users to state their name and age. Is it possible to add a new required field or to change a the URL field to Age?

I’ve switched my other forms on the site to the new Google Invisible Recaptcha. When your comment form loads I get an error from Google, presumably because I had to choose which type of recaptcha I wanted the site to support when I signed up for recaptcha.

It would be nice if there was an option to support the invisible version with your plugin. Otherwise, I really like it.

Will be nice to see Staff Comment style different from guest user. Maybe also with a cation like “Staff” so can be easy write reply to guest.

Actually seems Staff message looks the same as guest message.

After upgrade from 0.7.0 to 0.7.1 the comment guestbook sidebar widget generates e.g. additional closing </div> with no counterpart in the HTML source, corrupting the layout.

If I replace includes/widget.php file with the former one (0.7.0) then it works fine. I’m not PHP expert, but maybe there went something wrong. Is it possible to fix this with next version?

I am trying to use this plugin for a client’s wedding website. It is to be used so that she can see notes from her wedding guests. I have configured all of the settings and they are all working properly. Except that the 2 test comments I’ve published are not showing up. I’ve tried checking theme settings as well as wordpress settings to make sure the comments are allowed on the page with no luck. Can anyone please advise. I read the post from about 6 months ago on this. I am getting this message again in the latest install.

I am not sure if I am missing in the settings an email of where I want the message to send to or post. In the admin settings I do have my email in there.

the error message about required fields says the email has not been entered and the form is not submitted.

Hello! I tried to install your plugin but to no avail!

I downloaded the zip file to attempt a manual install. I was presented with a warning that the style.css file is missing and was unable to install properly. I am running the very latest wordpress version. (4.4.2)

I attempted to install using a wordpress theme search but your theme does not display in any of the keyword search queries I performed (comment, guestbook, reviews, NOTHING!)

Any insight would be appreciated!
