not sure since when problem started but comment’s author does no more receive a mail when the comment is approved.

WP 6.6.2, PHP 7.4

I hope this nice feature can be revived…

The plug-in doesn’t work for me on WP 5.8.
Nothing is sent, as if their was no plug-in at all.
My system is working fine with about ten other plugin.

not working. activated SMTP plugin which successfully sends other mails, but there just is no mail on comment approval.

I installed the Comment Approved Notifier Extended version 5 plug in. I changed my email by adjusting $site_email. I changed get_settings to get_option.

However, commenters cannot see any option to select in order to receive emails once their comments are approved. It’s as if I never installed the plug-in in the first place.

I suspect maybe my Copyblogger theme is preventing the option from displaying.

Any suggestions?

I receive some comments in my website. The author does not get my reply . My reply only goes to website. Please help. Also I tried this plugin called Comment Approved Notifier Extended.” but thhis time the comments made by outside user no longer appeared in my admin page. Without this plugin I when a comment is received I get a message from and then the comment appears in my admin page but after installing the plugin, I now receive an email called PHP SNIPPETS FROM THE AUTHOR and no more wordpress sending me emails. Please advise. thanks my domain is stjoachimsparish.org.

Thanks for the plugin. It works well.
I found that there is still one deprecated occurence of ?get_settings? in ?comment-approved-notifier-extended.php? (line 112). I simply replaced it with ?get_option?.

Hi! I just started using your plugin, and it seems to be working well. Except, when a comment is approved, the plugin generates this notice in my Error log:

Hi, first thank you for the practical plugin. Just one thing, as my site uses RTL language, in emails the text is unorganized due to the mix of LTR and RTL. I have fixed it by another plugin which formats default wordpress emails. My question is how I can redirect the emails of this plugin to wordpress default?

Hi, I just started using your plugin on my multi-language site that I have Polylang plugin installed.

Even when my WordPress is set to English by default (I started using English computer environments way before there were Spanish), my default language for posts is Spanish. I have a few posts in English with url mysite.com/en/post

I had to change my WordPress to Spanish so the emails are sent in Spanish (I did translate your plugin and I can sent you the po file)

I see that Polylang have some available functions, maybe it will be easy to use some of them to find out if the user is posting in a Spanish or English post. You can take a look at:

Some notes to translation
– I added a space (?) after “Dear”
– it would be good to add space and (:) not (;) after the string
“Your comment is approved to this post”
otherwise the string is packed like this
Il tuo commento è approvato per questo post;”Oltre la Potenza Media”

– I don’t know if it’s only for italian but (:) would be better than (;) in all the strings
