I am using role scoper to protect my links so only certain roles can see certain link categories.
This collapsing links show all no matter what. When I use the default widget link, it shows or doesn’t show them correctly. It looks like the collapsing links pulls the links directly from the database to format them. Anyway it can be written to respect whether they category links are viewable when they are restricted to role.
I also asked here — clarifying I am using collapsing links (not categories)

When attempting activate the plugin, wordpress throws and error saying that the headers are not valid.
]]>I just noticed an odd bug with this plugin. It used to work fine on the main page, single post pages, and static pages, but now it is only expanding/collapsing on archive pages. I did some testing and it appears the Collapsing Links widget only works when either or both of the Collapsing Archives or Collapsing Categories widget is on the page with it. Not sure why this is.
I did recently start using the Dynamic Widgets and Widgets on Pages plugins, but I have no idea if they are causing some kind of conflict or if this problem would exist without them because until I started using them I always had all three collapsing widgets on every page together. At this point, I can’t deactivate those two plugins to find out without causing major disruptions to my site.

Then if I try to click on a category another error rise: “expandCollapse is not defined”
