Hi,
great job, it would be a plus to also add phone number encoding!
Hello,
I can’t use your plugin inside a Network installation. The plugin is activated on the network, but once inside a site, I see the Cloak menu, but I can’t add any email.
Thanks for your feedback
Hello,
I have updated my website (development stage) with WordPress 6.2, and now the plugin says : “Loading…”
No emails are displayed.
Do you know why ?
Thanks
Vincent
If a someone logs in with the WP user role subscriber, the menu “Cloak Email” is still visible. How can i make it invisible if the logged in user has the capability subscriber? And visible for all others.
Good morning,
the plugin works fine, but I noticed that the [email] shortcode always generates a link like [email protected]
Would it be possible to have an option in the shortcode that generates an email address as pure text without the
tag (i.e. only print the text [email protected]
)?
Thank you so much.
Hello mate. Sorry to trouble you, but thanks for your great plugin! I just installed it on my WordPress site, and on this page https://thelivemusicagency.affordaband.co.uk/faqs/, with the shortcode [email name=”cfe-music”]. When I load the page, it looks visually like it’s displaying my full email address – is it actually cloaked in some way? – i.e. should it look different on screen, or is it still uncloaked atm? Sorry for the no0b question. Ideally, I had wanted the sentence to just read “Or, send us an email” (with the word email being the hyperlinked, obfuscated email address. Is this possible?
Cheers,
Stu
Hi,
thank you for the great plugin!
On performance testing with gtmetrix.com I recognized, that on every page, there is a POST request of /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php with ‘action=cfe_js_admin_email’, the response is ‘Permission Denied’.
Only on pages with a cloaked email address, it works fine:
“action=cfe_js_admin_email&nouce=123456789a” (example)
Thanks,
Freddy

I installed the program and headed to add my list of email addresses. I type them in the box and click to save; the page reloads and the new email and it’s shortcode don’t appear, only the admin email.
Hello,
I noticed in the code the mailto:[email protected] is part of the link wrapping the short code. I’m wondering if the bots won’t pick up the mailto:…. address?
Jeff
Hi, I need to combine cloaking with the “mailto:” subject parameter. How to do it with this plugin’s shortcode?
Thank you.
Hi Webbernaut,
Not sure if your doing more work on this javascript plugin BUT if you were……I’d love the option to open the ‘mailto’ link in a new window?
A few websites I have built are accommodation sites, thus I always prefer not to lose the guest off pages whilst they complete an email.
Cheers Dennis
Great idea for a plugin. But javascript is activated on all of my browsers and the [email] short code still comes up “enable javascript”. I assume if java script is enabled the a href is supposed to feature my admin email address? Checked it all, no go….
