I wish to thank you because this plugin didn’t get me any span for years but a few days ago seems some bots its able to come it thru’.
My clean-contact works fine for any email address EXCEPT AOL. I’ve had people with AOL addresses end up calling me because even though they get the message “Message Sent Thank You” it does not go through to me the administrator. my site is https://www.blueknightsaz9.org

I have setup clear contact and have placed a form on 3 of my sites pages. Each time someone fills in the form only get the anything writing that has been put into the message area.
For some reason I am not getting the Name, email address and subject.
Can anyone please help
I just installed this, set up a contact page, tested it – no dice. I keep getting the unable to deliver message page. No explanation as to *why* and there’s not much in the FAQ or installation info to help me. I’m not doing anything wacky, just tossed the folder into plugins as directed, set up a page as the instructions said, and no further tinkering.
Any tips on what might be wrong? I see others have had the same problem, but a quick browse of messages does not yield an answer.
Thanks!
Doesn’t seem to work – if I try to submit the one lower on the page, it seems to just be targetting the first.
Do I have to add IDs or something? Or use two pages?
Thanks!
Chris
sending to the primary email address works fine, but BCC apparently does not (several tests).
also code doesn’t w3c validate. problem is where the tag is placed:
<div class=”post-bodycopy clearfix”>
There is no response from the plugin author to any of the many posts both here and on the website inquiring why emails are not sent despite receiving a confirmation.
Is this plugin abandoned? If so, I think the folks at WordPress should remove it from the repository.
Hi,
for a few days now, the plugin isnt working for me ??

Here I am using it. When you want to send a message, it says “Sorry, unable to deliver”. I have no idea why.
Can anybody help me?
I was wondering how to center align Clean-Contact instead of having it aligned to the left.
The clean contact plugin is awesome and very user friendly because it’s simple.
However there’s a problem with character encoding.
Character encoding in the body part is fine.
Email address and subject fields however throw errors:
samples:
email address line:
“Hansj??rg” should be “Hansj?rg”
or subject:
“Van &# 39 ; s RV-7A HB-YMT”
should be “Van’s RV-7A HB-YMT”
any ideas?
thanks,
bernie

What’s the CSS style for overriding the default colors and style of the “send” button at the bottom of the form? More clearly, how do add a class in the “wfieldset.js” to later change setting in the CSS!?
thanx in andvance
Unless you edit the phpmailer includes file, emails in WordPress seem to show as mailed-by servername.domain.com, but when it is edited it can obviously show as “mailed-by: mydomain.com” like it should.
When an email is sent through the clean-contact form though, it doesn’t appear to be going through those settings and so shows as mailed-by servername.domain.com – what do I change in the plugin so that it shows like it should using that as well?
Thanks.
I’ve had two problems.
#1 While both the original and CC recipients get sent an e-mail, whenever I add an address to be BCC’d, the form doesn’t get sent to that address.
#2 I noticed that in the email that gets generated, the “Name” and “E-Mail” parts of the contact form that a user submits didn’t get added so that the webmaster could know who to respond to. When I left the “From address:” section of the plug-in options blank, it didn’t pull the submitter’s e-mail and just chose not to send an e-mail at all.
Any idea what could be causing these?
I wanted to see what my form would look like without the included styles turned off, so I checked “Don’t use default CSS” and saved the Clean Contact settings. I didn’t like the resulting look, and was too lazy to write my own CSS for it, so I toggled the checkbox off and saved the settings again.
Now my contact form only appears as an empty pink box.
I’ll probably have to uninstall and reinstall the plugin, I imagine.
Please fix it if you can, developer, because I’d like to use this for client sites. A simple contact form with Akismet filtering is the answer to so many problems.
Thanks, Jessi
When running the w3c validator I got the following message:
.CleanContact { text-align: left; width:…
The element named above was found in a context where it is not allowed. This could mean that you have incorrectly nested elements — such as a “style” element in the “body” section instead of inside “head” — or two elements that overlap (which is not allowed).
One common cause for this error is the use of XHTML syntax in HTML documents. Due to HTML’s rules of implicitly closed elements, this error can create cascading effects. For instance, using XHTML’s “self-closing” tags for “meta” and “link” in the “head” section of a HTML document may cause the parser to infer the end of the “head” section and the beginning of the “body” section (where “link” and “meta” are not allowed; hence the reported error).
Hi, is there a way I can add the contact form to a template rather than using the shortcode in a post or page?
There’s no changelog so it’s a bit confusing.
Thanks for the great plugin though, I’ve been using it for a while and it’s one of the best contact plugins there is.
