Hello. Thanks for the great plugin. We are using your groups feature for our small groups and classes. I can get a list of groups to display, but I am getting a blank page when I click on the title of a group in a list. It is not displaying the single group information (description, leader, location, etc).
Here is a link to the group list page:
https://mychristchurch.com/wordpress/connectgroups/
The plugin works as expected with a wordpress default theme such as twenty fourteen.
Thanks for your time.
I pasted the category shortcode from the WP for Church site, but apparently I am modifying it incorrectly. I also looked at some of the shortcodes that others have posted on this forum. None of them will show my group.
I’ve tried all of these: [people taxonomy=”pastoral” tax_term=”category-pastoral”]
[people taxonomy=”wpfc_person_category” tax_term=”category-slug-goes-here”]
[group taxonomy=”wpfc_person_category” tax_term=”pastoral”]
And is there a way for each category’s members to be in a different order, instead of having the same order in each one (ABC, hierarchically. etc.)?
Thanks in advance,
Erin
Please update the version of the Meta Box Framework that ships with Church Pack Pro. It’s outdated and causing compatibility issues with other plugins that use the same framework.
We’ve been using this awesome plugin for a while now for our non-profit. However, when WP updated to 3.9 (tiny was updated) the shortcode button disappeared. Now our content team can’t actually use it. We hoped that your knowledge base would have all the shortcodes and useage so we could just hand code it, but alas .. not the case.
It looks like an issue where the short code functionality was changed with the update to tinyMCE.
Is there any fix?
I need to sort the people lost on my site. I added the people but I need to rearrange the sort order, how do I do this?
I was wondering if there is an option or ‘hack’ to add a lot of people at once into the people directory part of this plugin?
The amount of people I would have to add manually would take way to long.
Maybe something for a future feature?
Hi! How do I get “people” on my page? Is there a short code? :S
Hi,
I was wondering if someone could help me. The size of my group listing is H2 and nothing I seem to do is able to reduce it. Could someone help please?
I am using the ChurchPack People plugin (v1.2.3) to maintain a directory of Faculty, Staff and Facilities employees. These employees are organized into categories (ie. Faculty–Elemenatry, Jr. High, High School) using the “Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order” plugin (v.1.3.4) and are placed in alphabetical order using “Post Types Order” plugin (v.1.6.2).
Everything is working well, except this: the Elementary teachers have 15 members. Only the first 10 show up on the page. The others don’t appear at all. Bummer.
I’m using this short-code to display them: [people taxonomy=”wpfc_person_category” tax_term=”elementary-faculty”]
Is there a way to display more than just the first 10 members?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide
Would like to have the ability to subscribe to the events/calendar. That was a feature the current church staff wanted that I don’t see in the full version of Church Pack Pro. I had to find another events/calendar product when I would have liked to use all the features of CP Pro. Thanks.
We have recently bought the Basic Church Theme and the Churchpack Pro Plugin. I am trying to set up our new church site and I cannot add a contact form. I click on Add Contact Form, I customize it and when I try to click on Add this Contact Form to my post, it does not do anything (then I am obliged to cancel adding the form). Any idea?

Hi, since I upgraded to Church Pack 1.2.3 a few days ago, I’ve been getting a multitude of Church Pack related “invalid URL” hits in my 404 logfile.
(I use another plugin which gathers all 404 error URLs on my site and displays them in a log for me)
The invalid URL that is coming up dozens of times each day is this:
/wp?/content?/plugins?/church-pack?/meta-box?/js?/cmb.js?ver=0.9.1
BTW, the path shown here *IS* correct. I’ve renamed my “wp-content” folder to just “content”, and WP is installed in a subdirectory called /wp/. So the above path is completely correct (and is not the issue here), except for the filename at the end: “cmb.js” – this file does not exist in the /church-pack?/meta-box?/js?/ folder on my server.
There *is* a file in that folder called “cpmb.js” however. But not one called “cmb.js”. So I wonder if there is a typo somewhere that is causing the 404 errors? But I have no idea where.
Any ideas?
I am testing out the 1.2.3 trying to setup a new site for my church. I have added the 4 staff to the people area and added the correct tag to my staff page but everything is a list order instead of the images aligning up left side with Name and title to the right of the image and then the bio flowing below it.
I have double checked the align for the image and the text of the bio and the are set to the left. The demo on your site show it working this way so I am not sure why it will not for me. Thanks.
I just upgraded to WordPress 3.6, and now having Church Pack activated breaks my editor in Posts and Pages (both the Visual and Text). Has anyone else had an issue with this?
I went through and deactivated all the plugins and activated them one by one when I saw the issue, so I know it’s Church Pack and not another conflict.
When I add a person, I can add his/her email adress, so the icon appears, but when I click on it, it sends me to some page.. how can I configure it so the person that clicks on it, can actually send tne email or at least are able to see the email adress??
Hello,
Is there a way to remove the https://localhost/wpfc_group/ part from the URL as this is not a “pretty URL” when you give a link to someone.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards.
For the [groups] shortcode, why don’t we see excerpts displayed instead of full posts?
Should it show the title of the group, the thumbnail, and a snippet of text with a “read more” “more info” link attached to the bottom of a snippet for each group, blog style?
Is this a bug?
How about, I have a problem, I have a list of staff 320 people, and this paged per 10 as seen in the code, but I only see the last 10 or first order depends on the product but there is some line to add or when define on the [people] an option to display the page?
ok so the name of the Group is Ministerio de alabanza y adoracion and the slug term is ministerio-de-alabanza-y-adoracion
This is the code I put to show only that specific categories of groups on my page but no groups show up. I have already put 5 groups in these categories. Is my shortcode wrong or I’m my missing something?
[group taxonomy=”wpfc_group_ministerio_de_alabanza_y_adoracion” tax_term=”ministerio-de-alabanza-y-adoracion”]
I wonder what might show on the frontend a list of people, without pictures, I just want to display the title, office and mail in list form, similar to the list view that has the backend
I have added several people, but only the first 10 display on the page I have set up for my directory. There is no link for Next, More, etc. In the dashboard, everyone is still there. What am I doing wrong?
When I create a group it works fine but when you click on the image of the group or title it takes me to a page not found error. What is the problem here?
Getting this error when I try to install Church Pack plugin. Hope there is a fix!

The image upload button does not work when attempting to add a new person.
I activated the plugin and get a bunch of warnings. While the plugin works, the plugin page no longer functions – ie if I try to activate/deactivate a plugin, no options show up to allow me to. The only way out was to delete this plugin. Once that was done, the plugin page started working correctly again.
Note: commenting out line 6 of this plugin’s file ‘option.php’ resolved this issue

This plugin attempts to wrap the ‘bio’ of a person in a

<?php echo wpautop($person_bio); ?>

However the use of the use of the wpautop() function (line 213 and possibly elsewhere) causes the result to be

this is a test bio

which negates the usefulness of the class for styling.
also it seems moving that line to just after line 191

<?php echo $person_title; ?>

makes the bio show inline with the image and makes it look a lot better.
