Howdy! While prepping for a migration from PHP 7.4 to PHP 8.3, I ran across an error with a couple lines of code in this plugin. I have a feeling that neither are really being triggered, but I though it was worth reaching out to let you know.

First, in functions.php, the sanitize_array() function uses $this->sanitize_array() in an attempt to call itself when a nested array is encountered. This $this-> usage inside a function has not worked since PHP 7.1 and causes a fatal error. My guess is that the plugin never actually processes a nested array through here, but it seems like a good defensive move to make the syntax right.

Similarly, in qc-support-promo-page/qc-clr-recommendbot-support-plugin.php, $this-> is used the same way in an AJAX action that retrieves a list of promoted plugins. I have not actually tested that AJAX call, but it seems like a pretty quick fix as well.

I attempted to integrate WPBot with Dialogflow and tested the plugin locally (https://localhost/wordpress). I followed the guide and completed the following steps:

1. Downloaded the Google client package.
2. Created a project in Google Cloud and generated a service key (with owner permissions).
3. Created a Dialogflow ES agent in the Global – US region.
4. Entered the corresponding project ID and key into the WPBot plugin settings.

However, after completing everything, when I clicked on “Test Dialogflow Connection,” it remained stuck in the “connecting” status without any logs or response.

I am expecting OpenAI to send code in the responses which they will send inside or based on the type of code provided.

But it doesn’t appear good when those are not handled. is it possible that chatbot processes the response and by default adds <pre> for content inside and <code> for content inside

Also I see OpenAI adds programming language as an added entry in the code so can we remove that as well?

I wrote some code which does the same in my existing solution but I couldn’t find similar alternative in your plugin so I am not able to use it. Do you already have any such functionality? If No, is it possible to add?

It shows up when I deactivate Wpbot.

I’m working with an art gallery here in the UK.

They have a great WordPress site and want to integrate a chatbot into it.

Obviously in WordPress they have a list of around 500 artists (eg ‘Vincent Van Gogh’).

Is it possible for your chatbot to fetch this list, so in the chatbot we can present the user with a full list of the current artists (which can change daily/weekly)?

in your plugin description it says “If the bot does not understand something a few times, it will display the Start Menu options to prevent user frustrations.”

Is there a way to extract those unanswered questions so it is possible to add them to the FAQ queries? Let’s say, a customer asks something that is not yet written down in the FAQ section. Getting an email from the bot displaying what question was left unanswered would help a lot in enhancing the customer support on my end.

With the Pro version of the plugin it is possible to look into the chat logs, but are those unanswered questions then marked specifically? Otherwise I would need to look through every chat log to see if the bot redirected to the Start Menu.

Another thing: I am thinking about getting the Pro version and there’s an option to buy the “perpetual license” on your website (www.wpbot.pro/pricing). Just to be sure here: I am paying the price just once and get a lifetime license in exchange?

The FluentSMTP plugin depends on wp_mail pluggable function and plugin is not able to extend it. Please check if another plugin is using this and disable it for FluentSMTP to work!

I have ChatBot setup with approx 50 Simple Text Responses and associated keywords only. I have the phrase match accuracy set to 0 and the search fields set to ‘keywords only’. This seems to work exactly as I want. I am unsure what the benefit of the OpenAI/Dialogflow would do for me here? Would they make the results even more accurate somehow? I only want to show results from the STR’s and nothing made up etc.

Please can you explain how to generate random keyword responses based on several simple text responses for the same keywords? It doesn’t work for me and I always get a response prompting me to choose what exactly I meant instead of just outputting one of the responses.

I’ve been unable to train the AI module.

First I tried your scraping tool for my website. While it scanned the page titles for prompts it collected nothing for the completion. It trained to a degree in that it responded with page links but no chat. (1)

So then I tried creating a tailored prompt and completion jnol file in the format you prescribe. Only 20 or so lines but well written and tailored for our company. However I try to upload and train, whichever model I am getting no personalisation at all. In fact it still seems stuck on 1 above. I’m still getting the page link responses.

Testing the free version of your chatbot in WordPress. I added several FAQs within the admin. But on the front end, clicking the FAQ button that appears after giving my name does nothing, it just shows FAQ as a user comment instead of showing the list of FAQ questions. Ideas? Thanks.
