I spent a few hours to figure this out: chap-secure-login breaks login to the wp admin panel.

This is a great concept, but is no longer supported. Check under Last Updated before installing to see how far out of date it is. For me, I couldn’t log in after the installation (the admin panel was inaccessible). This will disable your ability to log in with current versions of WordPress.
If you install and get locked out, here is how I recovered my account. Log in with FTP and rename the CHAP folder (I added _BACKUP to the name). Then when you next log in, WordPress will disable the plug-in. Then you can log in and delete the plugin.

Works as advertised, never any major problems. Thanks!

This plugin locks certain users out, saying they have a wrong username and/or password.
I have this problem when using firefox or IE, and combined with Wordfence plugin.
After I deactivated this plugin, I had no problem to login again.

Well I can’t edit my review title but I spoke to hastily the plugin works fine. There seems to be an unrelated problem in my .htaccess.

The plugin keeps telling you that the password you’ve entered is invalid. You then have to go through your server’s backend to remove the plugin to be able to log back in. I had high hopes but the developer did not deliver… too bad.
