Note you may have to change the table prefix in wp_config.php yourself but that’s no great problem.
Great plugin, thank you.

Wow! It works perfectly!

Working well ! but after changing you need to copy the new table_prefix name then add it in table_prefix inside wp-config.php although it has 777 Permission but it’s not change automatically and the site will open like a new installation .

Had an issue with mysql connection between the site and a software developer. This helped a ton.

I tried on WP Version 5.8. When it finished I had a fresh install of WP. All my content was gone. (I did back up my site so was able to restore it with no problem). Not sure if I did something wrong. ….Just make sure to back up your site before trying.

Parfait du 1er coup, avec une crainte toutefois, mais cela a bien fonctionné. Un grand merci

It work perfectly, i don’t give 5 stars because you should check if wp-config.php is writable before updating the DB to avoid dummy people to be locked out.

It was scary, but I made a full backup and tried this Plugin. I used it on WordPress 5.3.2 and it works fine.
It will change all tables prefix and still you’re in Admin area, you’re not logged out or something. Then, you just need to go and change the prefix line in wp-config.php using hosting file manager or via FTP and that’s all.
PLUGIN WORKS PERFECT. WEBSITE WORKS PERFECT.
I checked out phpMyAdmin to see changes, and all tables for the website are named with the new prefix. Nice.
I wish hope developer continue this great job. Thanks for this great plugin !!!

Despite being a bit out of date and a number of releases behind (at the time of this review), this software worked reliably with a complex update that included non-WP base tables.
It will be a pity if the owner has stopped supporting this plugin.

Easy to change table prefix wp = anything

I just successfully changed the prefix of a WP 5.2.2 Multisite installation. Immediately after the plugin changed the prefix, the site was broken, but all I had to do was update $table_prefix in wp-config.php and then everything was fine.
It also worked in regular WP 5.2.2 without the need to edit wp-config.php

I just tried this plugin and it worked perfectly.
I saw that all of the 1-star reviews were from 2+ years ago. I was concerned. But, I’m suspecting that the plugin was corrected since it worked fine in my situation and, that there haven’t been any other 1 star reviews for years. Note: As of 5/25/2019 I am running the most current version of this plugin as well as the most current version of WordPress. So from what I am seeing, it should be considered good and I wouldn’t expect the problems that were reported 2+ years ago. Thumbs up to the developer of this plugin.
Thanks,
Gary Gordon

Plugin works for updating the prefix of the database tables, but you have to manually adjust your prefix in the wp-config.php file. I tested it with WP5.2 and the file permissions of wp-config.php temporarily set to “777”. Despite of that, the wp-config-file did not get updated. Not big of a deal, after changing the prefix myself in the wp-config-file, everything worked just fine (i.e. my site was not “broken” anymore)

I have the latest version of WP (4.8.1) – plugin changed prefixes without any problem, showing useful statistics how many tables were altered. I recommend this plugin over changing tables manually.

While setting up a bunch of sites I accidentally forgot to enter a custom prefix on one… this plugin took care of that (and gave me one less vulnerability on my Total Security report).

Love to get the service of this plugin. I changes all the table prefix seamlessly. It is worthy of 5 out of 5 in rating for this so that user may not be confused to see the poor rating.
Thanks

So fast and easy to use ….

Very easy to change table prefix just in one click.

works as expected. But you have to be careful. i think there a lot of odd plugins, which don’t count the database table prefix variable. So some plugins will always look for “wp_” prefix instead of a different prefix. and thats why many users vote with just one star. If you use clean plugins, then you dont have to be afraid of breaking your site.
