Non of the other plugins had this faeture, and im using this for several years. it makes me happy.
its one of the first plugins which i install after WP setup.
i often use photoshop to make a nice graphical “coming soon page” for my projects and redirect people to it by this plugin.

I use ElegantThemes’ Divi, and made a really great looking Maintenance Page. I wanted a plugin that would easily just let me use my own page without installing new templates, new css, new pages, etc.
This plugin does just that. Note that you can still get into the back-end by navigating to wp-admin in case you forget to add your IP address (or don’t know it). If you’re like most users and are a cable, satellite, or DSL subscriber, you’re probably on a machine behind a modem or router of some kind. You’ll need to login to your router to find your IP address, as the local network IP address isn’t going to work for you.
Once I did this, created my page, and flipped on maintenance mode, voila. There it was. Worked just great with my theme, with no hassle, and in WP 4.0, as well.

simple, lightweight. all good. it deserve 6 stars if there is option to not show page menu when maintenance page is shown.
any way you have already saved my few hours to develop my own plugin for same purpose.
i make it down to 4 star because i think i need extra feature from current: to be able to set maintenance mode directly from dashboard page. think about it, sometimes people wants to turn this page on because some serious issues have occurred. they want to switch maintenance page asap.
