Hello, I am trying to use the gated content form to send the user to a new URL after successful submission (the use is for gated content webinars – the new URL page has the full video playable).
I tried this: https://imgur.com/Thezr1Z and this: https://imgur.com/9bv1L74 but when the form is submitted it just shows the thank you message (I can’t add HTML URL message there) and not the download box because I can’t “set gated content” with a page URL, it only wants a selected media item.
Please have in mind I have very little coding knowledge so would appreciate a more detailed tutorial how to do it effectively. The best way would be that after successful submission, the user is immediately transferred to the new URL. I only need the redirection to be valid for this specific form, not in general for all.
Thank you for taking the time!

I develop sites on staging URLs, and when I push them live, the staging URL is still used for the download.
]]>Hi,
your plugin was working just fine. Than I tested a form very often and now contact form 7 recognizes all messages that are sent as spam.
I installed already flamingo to log the messages. As a reason Flamingo shows, that the reCaptch score is to low.
Once I deactivate the cf7 gated content plugin, I can again send a message through the forms like here: https://www.digital-identity.cc/kontakt/
]]>Hi,
The download button doesn’t appear! My wordpress version is 5.4.2, plugin version is 1.4.4.
I can submit the form if i add in my own submit button but then it doesn’t download the PDF.
Thanks
Hi,
i am testing the gated form. it works fine, but can anyone tell me how to save the captured data?
Thanks
When trying to activate the plugin, I’m getting:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘class’ (T_CLASS), expecting identifier (T_STRING) or variable (T_VARIABLE) or ‘{‘ or ‘$’ in …/wp-content/plugins/cf7-gated-content/cf7_gated_content.php on line 31
I should mention that this works for me in localhost and only fails on production server.
WordPress version is the same in both scenarios (WordPress 4.9.10) and as well for the plugin (Version 1.4.3).
]]>Hi,
Is it possible to show users the page content after completing the form rather than a file?
In the link, once someone has completed the form, I’d like to keep them at that URL, but show them the page content. In the form settings I can only add a file as the content, not a link.
Thanks,
Aneil
]]>Hello,
loving this plugin!
Is it possible to send the download link via email instead of displaying a download button?
Thanks
]]>Hello,
when I input classes, the default styles override them. My inputs are below.
Button CSS Classes:
btn btn-block btn-lg btn-secondary
Am I doing something wrong? How can I over-ride the default style of download button?
Thanks
]]>I’ve set up the Contact Form 7 form and the Gated Content. However, when I fill out the form, I receive the success message, but the Download button and content don’t appear? The email comes through showing that the form is working, but not the gated content part of it?
]]>Cannot activate: The plugin does not have a valid header.
WordPress 5.1.1
]]>I just can’t make this plugin work – have created forms with gated content but they behave no differently to any other forms, and you can’t see the download button. Can anyone help? If you know what you’re doing I’ll give you access! thanks
