It gets the job done, but in my opinion it’s not ideal, and it’s not intuitive. If you choose to use this, you need to spend a lot more time familiarizing yourself with documentation than something like Elementor.
When clicking around in the builder, there are a lot of clicks that you’re unsure as to what you’re doing. Sometimes you’re using on the column, sometimes the entire block, but it’s unclear what click leads to which selection.

Has been good and working fine until WP 6.0.1. Now unable to make amends.

I was looking for something that will allow me to insert creative page dividers…there’s plenty out there, but the simplicity of this plugin force me to have a closer look.
After playing around with the dividers (worked fantastically) I started using the other blocks: layouts, icons, hero…and seriously, withing a couple of hours (mostly me tweaking) I have something that looks great.
The blocks’ options are very well layed out and organized. This means that the properties you tweak on one block are very similar to the other block, so learning curve is not steep at all.
I don’t like Page Builders at all, this is the closest I will get to one. Give it a shot, I really think it’s a superb product!

I’ve tried many, maybe all, Gutenberg Blocks plugins, but I find this very useful and well done.
Try it yourself. Very useful!
Congratulations.

I appreciate the cutting-edgeness of this plugin. CSS grids? I almost couldn’t believe my eyes. the balls! It’s such a nice alternative for all the other “page builders” out there, trying to take care of each single medieval browser, while bloating like a flipping exploding red giant from all the patches and scripts and elements and they throw in there meanwhile absolutely positioning everything with nails and glue to … sorry I’m rambling. Great plugin!

Very useful collection of blocks for Gutenberg. Technical support is fast and efficient!

I had no experience of wordpress before august 2018. I took over our homepage and read a little about Gutenberg. I felt that i should start with it instead of Visusal composer (which I had problems understanding), which we had. During the fall 2018 I had some problems to get the pages to work dynamic until I found Caxton. Caxton was what I was lacking in the new editor. I compared and tried another plugin, both were good….
During November-December 2018 before WP 5.0 including Gutenberg were released there were some problems, but I received excellent support from Jamie.
I can really recommend Caxton and the support offered when needed.

It took me a while to get used to Gutenberg. After having a proper ‘go’ with it, I now plan to build all of my sites using it. The same can be said for this Caxton plugin.
I’m currently re-designing one of my websites using Caxton and Pootle’s Eighteen Tags theme. It’s early days but so far I really like it!
Caxton gives you some great additional functionality and I really like the divider options.
The Caxton videos are very handy in seeing what’s capable with the plugin, so thanks for that.
Keep up the good work ??

Nice job incorporating sections into Gutenberg. Very responsive on the support forum. THANKS

Gutenberg takes a little bit of getting used to, but after some initial frustration I’m getting there.
Then enter Caxton, and it changes everything!
Pre-determined layouts are super-handy and enable you to instantly create a multi-column or multi-block nested layout with tons of options.
Love the typography feature which adds Google Fonts to a block (although, some fonts display on the back end but not the front… something to look into, Jamie?)
Caxton’s button options are far superior to Gutenberg’s very basic options (which don’t even work – button colours are output in the back end but not the front, for some reason, but Caxton’s options work brilliantly).
The slideshow is mostly great (saves adding yet another plugin, although Pootle Slideshow is also good if you’re using Pootle Pagebuilder) – but could do with some little tweaks to allow you to select your slide image’s current dimensions for the width and height instead of Caxton’s weird numbering system (currently slide images seem a bit too zoomed in or zoomed out – can’t get them to display at exactly the proportions of the original slide image, but this is a very minor niggle).
Overall – absolutely fantastic and very deserving of a 5* rating! ??

It’s hard to find the information, but this plugin doesn’t support IE, even IE11.
This is really bad, since WordPress is known to support at least IE11.
It uses “grid-span” CSS property, very weird choice, and it uses inline CSS, so you can’t override styles for IE or mobile.

Just used Post Grids for the home page on my site. Looks really nicer, easy to configure. Just drag and drop, a couple of clicks, and it’s done.
Will be using Layouts for my blog posts soon.
This is a solid, well-designed plugin that I’ll be using a lot.

I use Pootlepress Storefront Pro, Page Builder Pro, and most recently added, Storefront Pro blocks and Caxton. I can’t imagine using anything else for my store. Support is always fast and invaluable. I highly recommend all of their plugins.

The bad : Although it’s not the fault of Caxton, the UX and the desgin possiblities in overall are still far below that of Elementor. Even with a plugin like Caxton, Gutenberg has a long way to go to compete with Elementor.
The good : I realy hope that these solutions will steer us away quickly from the fragmention in pagebuilders and all those bloated themes.
So therefore, for now : 2 stars.

Unbelievable. I have installed it and I am thrilled what is possible with it. I’m curious how other big PageBuilders will respond.

Using actually the “posts grid” which works and renders fine. Other blocks of this collection have still little issues, but following the advancement on GitHub shows me motivated and reactive developers, so it’s very promising.

I love this plugin! The simplicity to add post grids is just stunning.
Way to go Pootlepress!
