I have a page with some categories checked:
+ Animals [X]
— Mammals
— Fish [X]

These are displayed on the page as: Fish, Animals.

Is there a way to display them in hierarchical order: Animals, Fish?
Can the separator be changed to breadcrumb format, eg: Animals > Fish

Body class with cat to page : single single-page postid-2149 …
Body class without cat to page : page page-id-2149 ….

I’m using your plugin to give pages the categories of some posts and show them here ( https://prntscr.com/kt34xf ): https://poderoso.pt/smile-clinic/ana-ferreira/

I’d like to show the pages with the same category of this post has. Is it possible?
When I chose posts ( [wudrelated type=”post”] ), it shows another “team” posts correctly: https://prntscr.com/kt31h0
But when I chose pages ( [wudrelated type=”page”] ), nothing is shown. As you can see they share the same category: https://prntscr.com/kt33au

Or, if not possible, is there a shortcode so I can choose the pages to show of specific categories? Something like: [wudrelated type=”page” category=”xxx, yyy”]?

I need tags mostly for my Posts because that is where the action is. Pages are for more or less static information.

But the tags and categories are not showing up for Posts. I made a separate page for all Categories and Tags because eventually there will be a lot and I want them to be as you show in your screenshots, like an index in a book.

I put this code snippet on that page using the Text view:
[mctagmap show_pages=”yes”]

I have tried various settings, to no avail.

Must be that there needs to be a different code, but I don’t know what that might be since I am not a coder at all. What is the proper code to use there?

Hi there, hope you are doing well. I tried to add a comment to the other gents question about URL structure but it would not let me.

I am trying to get the category name in the url
such as
test.com/categoryname/pagename

but it doesn’t work. Am I doing something backwards?

I am using ‘enable unique page categories’
permalinks settings are
https://example.com [ /%category%/%postname%/ ]

Do I need to set it to ‘Use WP post categories for pages’ in order to the get the page category to show in the url structure?

My plugin located at the link below launches a modal that should look like this:

However, with your plugin installed, I get:

“Something went wrong.
Invalid item ID.”

When I look at your documentation you have settings for Featured Category Image. However this does not appear in the settings on my Websites.

I am trying to create a category list with the images for each page in, so very frustrating!

However, I still love the plug-in!

However, I had two categories made for me automatically: blogs and collection. Could this be true? I don’t want to delete them before i know they won’t reappear.

Since we updated CAT to PAGES WUD, the search function in the admin area stopped working. It returns no pages or posts…
In the URL parameter, when we do a search (for Portugal in this example) is:

…/wp-admin/edit.php?s=portugal&post_status=all&post_type=page&action=-1&m=0&categories&paged=1&action2=-1

The “categories” is what’s causing the issue. If we remove “categories&” from the URL, the search starts working

If we have the TAGS activated in CP WUD the URL is

…//wp-admin/edit.php?s=portugal&post_status=all&post_type=page&action=-1&m=0&categories&tags&paged=1&action2=-1

Again, the missing values in “categories” and “tags” are causing the conflict.

If we disable the whole plugin, the search starts to work…

Is there any solution?

This plugin seems to work great. However, in one of my templates, making a call to get_the_category() doesn’t return anything for a page that is tagged with a category. Strangely, it only returns the applicable categories when logged in with an admin account (not, for example, a subscriber account).

On the plugin settings the section “Featured Category Images ” is missing…
any Idea why?
I deactivate/activate the plugin but same issue, I even delete the plugin and uploaded again but the section is missing

We created many page categories, but after all the recent updates with wordpress, all our categories are missing. Is there a way to get them back?

thanx for this excellence plugin. the only problem i’m having is a little file folder icon showing up above my category list. is there a way to remove this? it might also allow the categories to be higher and more centered within their sidebar box.

I am building a website for spare parts and I was wondering what could be the best approach …
I��m planning to build a page displaying thumbnails with brand logos so each will have a link that redirects the user to a page with a list of part numbers for that particular brand and I will assign the Category “Spare Parts” by using WUD Plugin.

Do you recommend to add Brands as Subcategories of “Spare Parts” Category or Is it better to create Pages for each brand…or Perhaps Create Categories for each brand?

Is there a way to have 2 pages with the same slug name when assigned different categories? When I try to do it, WP adds -2 to end of the page slug name.

Category to Pages WUD, Version 2.4.6

on WP 4.9.6.

In its settings, I’ve set

Add categories to pages -> Enable Unique Page Categories

I’ve created a Page Category,

	Name: About
	Slug: about

I’ve created a Page, “Intro”, setting its PageCategory -> “About”

At WP’s ‘Permalink Settings’

	https://example.com/wp-admin/options-permalink.php

I’ve set

	'Common Settings'
	...
	[X] Custom Structure
		https://example.com [ /%category%/%postname%/ ]
	...

BUT, the page is assigned a Permalink of

Permalink: https://example.com/intro/

and appears in browser at

https://example.com/intro/

NOT at the expected/intended

https://example.com/about/intro/

Posts, assigned standard WP post categories, correctly use/appear at the

.../%category%/%postname%/

path.

I’ve set up multiple page categories using your plugin–thank you!

My issue arises when I need to have 2 pages of the same name in different categories.

For instance: https://new1uprepairs.staging.wpengine.com/austin/iphone-4-repair/
and https://new1uprepairs.staging.wpengine.com/san-marcos/iphone-4-repair/

Once I have one “iphone-4-repair” page, I can’t make another one without it renaming the page. I can turn off the “use categories in URLs”, but then when I rename the page, since there is an iphone-4-repair page already, it names it iphone-4-repair-2. I can’t get rid of that -2 when I turn “use categories in URLs” back on.

Is there any way I can fix this? I’m not afraid to dig into code or edit MySQL databases if I have to, but this is a big issue for us.

I updated to the newest version just now. I was not sure from what version I came. But after I updated (I run WordPress with BeTheme), it treated all my pages as blog posts (and hence added the blog functionalities from BeTheme). I rolled back to 2.4.0 and it works again.

I have a question..my website is all in spanish, both categories and tags URL slugs are in english…
ie. http//mysite/categories/info
http//mysite/tags/info
How can I change those to spanish?
http//mysite/categorias/info
http//mysite/etiquetas/info
If I get those translated could afect something like: break the site, structure, SEO ?
Perhaps it��s not necessary to translate those ?? not sure…
