Created the order now everything went wrong. Disabling this plugin didn’t restored any previous sort.. is just useless.

I was updating some links in old posts and then discovered that they were all reposted at the top of the post feed by the date updated. I tried to change the Published date but it was already set to the original date, which was three years ago, but now appeared as if posted today when it was updated. I found this plugin and set the Post Order to be by the Published Date and everything fell back into place in the order published.

This plugin allows you to change the priority of posts depending on which category you are viewing. An absolute must for clients that like to put posts in multiple categories. It works with custom post types and custom taxonomy too. Support is second to none!! Brilliant.

I just updated to WP 4.2.2 and my old plugin stopped working, so lucky me I found this one! Thank you for the youtube video – I might have not found the “order” button in the category tab without it.

Overall, this plugin is fantastic! I’m sure it works for 95%+ websites without any modifications needed. Our entire wordpress integration is custom, but with the help of https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/orde-posts-by-custom-fields/ we were able to get it to work. There is also a bug(s) when adding/removing a post from a category, but these have been noted in the Support forums and hopefully they will be resolved promptly.
Overall, excellent plugin and we will be using again ??

Works perfectly with my site using custom post types and taxonomies. Would be awesome to have a ‘sort alphabetically’ function for finding posts (when you have a lot of them) and to see the publish-date. But as I said, simple, easy to use and simply works!

For some time I have manually fiddled publication dates to set orders.
This lets me take orderly control of a drag and drop menu. Easy, swift and good.
