Catch Gallery would be a perfect alternative to Tiled Galleries Carousel Without Jetpack, which is unfortunately no longer being updated. However, even with Catch Gallery, the “Tiled Mosaic” is not responsive and looks broken on mobile devices. ??
Given the current emphasis on “Mobile First” – is there an update planned to address this? That would be so great!

A large site makes heavy use of Jetpack tiled image galleries, but disabling the Jetpack CDN means that thumbnails no longer load, as such, I’d like to replace the Jetpack tiled image galleries entirely, but need a drop-in replacement that can be rendered wherever shortcodes and blocks for Jetpack’s currently exist.

Is Catch Gallery able to do this?

I’m having issues where the gallery only loads images at the width and height set when creating the gallery. For example – thumbnail, medium, large, full size. They should be autoscaled but I’m not sure if this plugin does this or if I just have some conflicting code somewhere. I’ve seen a few other complaints about this, so it might just be a bug.

For now, you have to load every gallery at full size for the images to look correct, but that’s very bad for site optimization.

The image gallery beneath my introduction here doesn’t work; click on an image and the screen is black; it scrolls up to reveal a distorted image, though not the one that you clicked on. I built this a couple of years ago and hadn’t looked at it in quite a while. Can anyone help me fix?

Catch Gallery is just what I have looking for.
It’s simple and it works.
But is it possible to change the gallery default from Thumbnails to Mosaic?
This would save me from having to go back and update all of my existing galleries created with another plugin.
There’s hundreds of them.

Would it be possible for you to add the ability to “like” the images in the galleries, maybe with a heart icon in the upper right? Example: I have uploaded 40 pictures into a gallery and I want my mother, who lives in another state, to go to my gallery and click the like button on the images she likes out of that single gallery. I would like to be able to see which ones she liked, perhaps be emailed a list of these likes?

This would replace the need for someone to comment on each image that they like. I would be happy to donate if this is something you could add. Thank you for taking the time to read my question.

Is there any chance of updating the features in catch gallery to allow the photos in a gallery to link to a URL when clicked? So, instead of opening as a media or attachment file, clicking on a photo in the gallery would take the viewer to a web page?

I want to create the bottom half of this page as a gallery, but I need each link to go to the category link associated with it, which currently isn’t possible.

I just updated the catch galley plugin from 1.5 to 1.6.1 and it was previously working fine but now the thumbnails are very low res and ofter stretched.
what has happened? is there a way to go back to the old version?

Hi everyone

On my page I have added two image galleries, mainly for optical reasons: because I added a quote between the two galleries. I am using the catch gallery plugin for image carousel.

I would like the carousel to behave as if there was only one gallery on the page, so it jumps from the last picture of the first gallery to the first picture of the second gallery. (The user should not notice it is actually two galleries).

Is there a way to do this?

Alternatively, is it possible with the help of another plugin?
