So is there a way that Cartpauj PM uses the Display name in the To field (when writing a message) instead of the Username?

I did have an issue with writing a New Message and Reply message in that where the commands bold, italic, strikethrough, code, etc. where not showing up… I have attached a link to a photo i took with my mouse hovering over the error.

]]>I’m having a problem when users reply to a message and include an emoji character from a smartphone. The message is not inserted but the message sent success message and email are triggered. This is only when replying to an existing message. The messages with emoji are inserting fine on new messages. I dumped the content variable and it looks fine but I can’t figure out why the insert is failing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

]]>Is there anyway to manage the directory list contents.
I need my list to only contain nominated roles (including custom ones).
For example I want to exclude ALL usernames that have administrator role.
But I want all my site members (as defined by having a custom role assigned to them) to be listed.
I have the plugin set up and it is working so far. I am trying to get the number of unread messages so I can insert that in another part of the site. Is there some specific php code that I can use to do this? Or do I need to get from the database each time?

I would like to hotlink a username to send them a new message. It looks like you should be able to do this with something like “https://www.mysite.com/private-messages/?pmaction=newmessage&to=username” but that doesn’t seem to work. Is there a way to do this?

]]>I have WPML installed to support multilingual unterfaces.
Akk works well, but with Cartpauj there is an issue:
– the front-end is activated by using [cartpauj-pm], this is basic
– when such messages page is called up in any of the languages, teh interface is correctly put in the languages I had set up in WPML.
– however, the links within the messages page do not respect the multilinguality and all link back to the default version, the Eglish one.
So, instead of https://url/en/my-messages/?pmaction=newmessage which is a typical inside link within the message page (even when I am under another language), I would need https://url/nl/my-messages/?pmaction=newmessage OR https://url/bg/my-messages/?pmaction=newmessage or https://url/de/my-messages/?pmaction=newmessage etc. which would be the correct urls for different language interfaces. All these variations also return valid multilingual interfaces, but how do I put Cartpauj so that happens default?

I currently have a wordpress installation with enabled bbpress plugin. Now I installed and enabled Cartpauj PM because we need some PM functions in bbpress. Now I have a PM-Message site that is linked to the menu at the top of the WP site where members can send pm messages to each other. So far so good…

Now I like to add a button or a link to the profile site of each member in the bbpress forum.
If I click to the username in the forum I should see a send message button below the profile informations of that specific user. If I click the button, the message site should be opened with filled out from: and to: user fields.
Is this possible? If yes, please tell me how this can be done step-by-step.
I searched Google and found already some code snippets and hints but I’m unable to find enough informations to apply this.

I was wondering if there was a short code, or function that allowed me to display the “New Message form” outside of the [cartpauj-pm] shortcode.
I found this function “dispNewMsg()” which contained the form, but I can’t seem to place it where I want.
