I have your plugin installed along with Contact Form 7 and Event Manager – the site is quite large, about 1000 pages and posts.
Although the slider is working on the pages I have it on, in the WordPress wp-admin, when I roll over the left navigation “Captain slider” it shows the Contact Form 7 sub menu.
When I disable any of the three plugins, it works just fine. I’m wondering if WordPress has updated hooks for creating the menu and it needs to be tweaked in your plugin?
]]>Hi, sorry if this is has been posted somewhere already. I’ve looked through documentation but have only seen “yes you can add multiple” but not HOW.
I’m using Captain Slider (in a Genesis child theme, so also listed is the Genesis Responsive Slider.) I’m fairly good with this stuff, but new to Genesis and the slider.
I have the option, through Widgets, to drag the slider widget under where I want it to show up (“home top” in this case) and I’ve configured my settings through the Captain Slider options and Genesis Responsive Slider. I seem to only have one set of options so I’m confused as to how I would use this widget elsewhere and how to set up a different set of slides to show up. (For example, in “home top” I want a slider showing images from different pages. This works fine. But then I also want to add a small slider showing images from one of the blog categories in the side bar and perhaps another slider on different pages, highlight images from topics of that page.)

]]>On my slider, some of the images have a spacing between the caption. I still haven’t figured out what is causing this. Maybe the border of the caption is gone. It never gave me this trouble before.

For a friend I build a website using my own build theme in which I make use of the Captain Slider.
It occured to me that the slider (who loads normally on every page) was gone on some pages, after deactivating and activating plugins it seems that it only happens when the facebook plugin is activated.
When I have look at the source code, it seems on those pages where the slider doesn’t load, the list of sliderimages hasn’t been included.

I’m using Captain slider plugin. I created 4 slides. Everything working fine except ona Android phone.
1. On PC every slide has a link to different page (4 slides = 4 pages).
2. On Android phone all four slides have same link (the link of the fourth slide).
I connected my android phone to my laptop in order to analyse a code and I found that all caption texts links are same.
I can’t get it where is the problem (theme or captain slider plugin).
Please advice.
]]>Hi, I’m trying to use this plugin with wpml plugin, but it only works in the primary language.
I’ve made the translations of the slider groups in the slider manager section so I have a diferent id for each language.
I’ve tried with this in a page template:

I’m the developer of Captain Slider. I made it a couple years ago now and at the moment I do not plan on updating it any time soon. Why? It works. It still does what I intended it to do and still works for the majority of users. I personally don’t have time to keep updating it as I provide it completely for free.
As with all slider plugins, there tends to be conflicts and problems a lot. Please read through the documentation. If that doesn’t help, feel free to post a support thread here but I am not supporting the plugin at the moment so it will be up to other members of this forum to try and help you.

I installed and set up Captain Slider a few days ago but it doesn’t show up in my site when I changed my theme. The slider element works fine with Twenty Fourteen, so I know it’s set up right.
I contacted the theme designer, and he said there may be a clash somewhere as the theme and the slider both use Flexslider? Is that possible?
You can see in developer view under the filterable portfolio in the top section, that there is a flexslider element there. But it just doesn’t appear on the page.
I’ve never used flexslider or had much jQuery experience. Anyone got any ideas of how I go about detecting a clash?

thanks for your plugin! I’ve used it on a site that I’ve done for an association.
I’ve discovered that videos (embedded from vimeo) doesn’t work. In smartphone and tablet, android and ios, the gallery shows only a screenshot of video box.
I now that the plugin gives problems when are lots videos on a single gallery, but this is not the case because I usually have only 1 video and few photos in each gallery.
On normal pc and browsers all works correctly, you can see videos and images, only on mobile videos became images.
Do you know what’s the problem and what i can do to solve it?

I just installed the slider in my Spun theme. I have the slider on the Home page under the custom circles-pages.
However, the slider doesn’t appear in the way I want it. The video appears in the small size (even though I put 1280×780 already) and there is a white space around it with the bullet on the top left corner.
I would like to have the video with the full width of the content area of the theme and without this white background and dot.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks!

I have used Captain Slider for a while and love, but I have noticed that it is not showing correctly on mobile view. Is there a way i can either stop it appearing on mobile, or a fix.
The issue is it makes the content jump as the slider scrolls through and then starts to list the slides under each other.

My client’s site has your slider installed with the caption “Our inspiration begins with You!” When we view the site in an ipad or mini-ipad, the sentence divides onto 2 lines and overlaps, jumbling the words. Is there any way to fix the caption so that it resizes correctly on different mobile devices?

PS. A developer created this site. The background image is inserted in the page itself. I believe that the slider image is just the video “play” button. I know that the caption is created from the slider settings.

Is there someway to have the slider work on a multi-site? I have 50 sub-directories and would like to have a different slider to appear on the homepage of each site that is unique to that website. Having one slider for all 50 sites is not suitable.
