I’m so disappointed that this plugin is going to be retired soon. It was such a great alternative to Contact Form 7 which is a PITA when it comes to formatting.
Anyway…I’ve really enjoyed using Caldera Forms and I will truly miss it. Yet another reason why I’ve been developing exclusively with the Avada theme (they have their own built-in forms, very similar to Caldera).

Used to be really good, not anymore. This plugin hasn’t been updated in a long time, no devs are responding on the support forum. You may want to look at alternatives.

It will not be continued into 2022. It’s sad they sold to NinjaForms, which I dislike for so many reasons. Wished they had looked for people who cared for it and wanted to keep it alive. But no, you must kill it for not reason. It’s really disappointing for all the endless hours I invested in it.

Caldera used to be the best but now we had to move many sites away from it because of all the errors (jquery, php, javascript). Caldera Forms doesn’t work anymore on any of my sites

Did not work with my site.

Want to change the message appearing on notify emails. Doesn’t take my changes. Email sending works but always with the predefined summary. After hours of Google search to solve the problem I will give it up and move forward to another form plugin.

I loved it and used it on numerous websites but I think that it is no longer supported… For about 2 months there is a main issue, that you can’t hit the “save” button without any reactions from the developers.
And also it seems like, that there where only tiny developments since I bought it a couple of years ago. For me it looks like an abandoned cash-cow.

Great features in this plugin. We relied on it for many years instead of the default Divi contact module and paid plugins like Gravity.
As of late we get tons of spam despite the honeypot and lots of required conditions that should reject submission.
Noticing lots of support forum posts going unanswered.
Are we to assume Caldera is done and no one is at the wheel? Please tell us no. We love the plugin.

I see quite a lot of negative reviews recently.
I am trying to edit a form for about an hour. Seems to be impossible. I am able to add a field and save it. As soon as I refresh the page the edit is gone.
I like how I am able to build forms. The email settings are great. I can integrate it with Divi Supreme and get a style that fits.
But it is impossible to edit the actual form!?
Console: index.min.js?ver=1.9.3:1 {code: “rest_invalid_param”, message: “Invalid parameter(s): cf_edit_nonce”, data: {…}}

This is what the original author of this plug-in said when he joined Saturday Drive, the parent company of Ninja Forms that bought Caldera: “Caldera Forms is not going anywhere,” Pollock said. “It’s going to get a lot more focus and attention now.”
Really? Well, we don’t see anything in that respect. The form has been broken for months and nothing is being done about it. As other posters have written, I find the buy-out by a rival plug-in-partner and the sudden stop in development afterwards highly suspicious.
Too bad, as I really liked Caldera before it was bought by Ninja Forms.

I can’t believe I haven’t left a review yet after so many years of enjoying this free plugin… it’s so powerful, love the conditional logic and everything else, thanks guys!

Validations errors that developers can’t fix for 2 months, they can’t add 2 lines of code. I added a ticket to the support, but nobody even answered me for 2 months.

It has been over a month since this plugin stopped working for the newest WP version. It’s not a really big problem to solve, just adapting the frontend logic to the new jquery version. That they still have not released a patch tells me that they don’t maintain it anymore. If you can, switch. If you haven’t decided yet on your form plugin, don’t use this one.

It’s been two months and Caldera hasn’t fixed a bug that keeps you from making new forms or editing existing forms. A “week or two” is fine for production, but a “month or two” gets you fired… sad after 5+ years of this being the go-to.
It COULD be because CF was purchased by NinjaForms’ parent company and there’s an agenda here… who knows. :p
If you’re looking for a workable alternative, try FORMIDABLE (I’m not affiliated btw, just a web designer) in the meantime.

Can’t create a new form

I created an account just to give 5 stars to this plugin. I have been using Caldera for a very long time but because of a new theme I bought, I thought it would be better to stick with the theme’s preferred forms plugin, cf7. It’s completely overrated and doesn’t even involve half of the functions caldera does.

I have paid for all the pro features and the support has been horrible and as of September the main feature that made them standout from us buying from the competition was the premium email delivery. That was really the only reason I bought the plugin. For a couple weeks I had clients emailing me with email delivery issues and me trying to troubleshoot… then Caldera decided to email everyone saying they have cancelled the email service and your on your own. No joke! I wish I could attach a screenshot of the email. Now they are like everyone else but almost no support. The addons plugins are now having issues on multiple sites. I would highly recommend moving onto another provider.

Notice</b>: register_rest_route was called incorrectly. The REST API route definition for cf-api/v2/entries
is missing the required permission_callback
argument.

I’m losing faith on this plugin. I had recently purchase the Mailchimp add-on and I can’t even get a refund. Wow.

Really good plugin to build forms with a drag and drop system. Is easily customizable and very responsive. I changed from Contact Form 7 to Caldera Forms because the “upload files” button was better.

I used to love this plugin, been using it for years. But with WordPress 5.5.1, you cannot edit existing forms, nor create new ones. Existing forms seem to work OK. Checking the plugin page and development GitHub, there has been no development activity since July 15, 2020, and no Support responses since mid-June 2020. Maybe he got the Covid? Just a warning to not invest in this plugin.

best free plugin, easy to use

I tested a lot of form plugins – in the free version Caldera is clearly the best, very complete and easy to use.

Adoro a fun??o de poder exibir um campo ou n?o baseado nas sele??es anteriores. Outro diferencial é o envio de e-mail condicional (você pode, por exemplo, enviar pra um setor ou outro dependendo da escolha do usuário).
No entanto, encontrei alguns problemas:

In fact, Caldera Forms is simply the best form plugin for WordPress with the most extensive features for free, even with conditional logic included.
I really like to use it. Their support team is brilliant too. They really listen to the users and bugs are taken seriously and fixed within an acceptable time.
