It completely destroyed the layout of my theme (Herald Magazine). Even after the flush the mess was still there. I had to deactivate the plugin to go back to normal behavior.

Works fine. Compatible with CDN and reduces total number of files/requests for any webpage heavily.

Don’t listen to bad reviews. I will tell you the truth:
This plugin will NOT break your site. It just change the way JS and CSS are executed, so if you see something wrong in your site after activating this plugin, there are two ways of fixing: Deactivate, Uninstall and remove cache OR Configure the plugin properly.
Read each configuration option twice, save and flush cache with each option you change. This way you will really see how this plugin works and will work with your theme/plugins too, with no conflicts. It only conflicts with few cache/optimization plugins.
This plugin is the most customizable, trust me you will love it as you realize the potential of this plugin.
Give it a try, configure it properly and you will never uninstall it.
Developer who made this plugin… THANKS A LOT.

… the plugin would keep a decent track of website changes.
After removing several plugins from my site after moving to a new host, BWM still showed all their js/css which was very confusing to say the least. A proper rescan of the site should definitely be implemented, rather than trusting on old data in the options table.
Three stars because it works.

I’ve been trying to reduce my page load speeds (with a very bad server!) and was getting page speeds around 5 seconds.
I tried Better WordPress Minify as a last resort before moving hosting and WOW! it reduced my speed to under 2 seconds.
thanks for a fantastic plugin. Will be donating for its upkeep!

While, I’m sure this plug-in works well for most WordPress users, it seems to have conflicts with the “The7” theme (the footer style specifically didn’t show properly), and broke the “Revolution Slider” plug-in entirely. Though, everything was restored once I deactivated the plug-in.
Use with caution.

Only wanted to minify files, but plugin takes responsibility over something it shouldn’t and also moves everything to the footer…

I removed this plugin right away as it breaks my entire site. I installed this plugin via WordPress standard plugin page. I’m using wordpress 4.7.3

Broke my homepage including navigation.
I found the admin panel zero explanatory and hard to understand and not manage to do anything with this. I luckily got all back to normal after uninstalling.
I’m sorry for the bad review, but one thing is if a plugin kind of sucks or is not good enough for ones expectations, usually I don’t even post any reviews, just uninstall. BUT when all your site breaks, that is BAD. I want to prevent other people from getting their sites broken and that is why I post this review.
All the best.

I just works. Most other plugins I tested would screw up the loading order when first activated, but this one did not. It loaded every script in the right order. I love the enqueued files manager; it gives me perfect control over which script is in the header or footer without the need of another dedicated plugin. Overall, great first impression. Will use on other projects!

Rispetto ad altri più aggiornati, funziona meglio.

Simply installing and activating Better WordPress Minify with no additional tweaks works well with a Divi 3.0.33 child theme. The speed boost was both noticeable and measurable. Didn’t break the site like some other minify plugins do. Works great! Thanks!

I couldn’t even recover it, glad I had backup.

I am pleased with the functionality of the plugin. Very pleased. Good job.

Well thought out tool that taps into the other excellent work of MrClays Minify, making it a solid base for simple, yet versatile bundling and minification.
I ran into some rather obscure issues on my staging environment, because I’m running a multi-site WordPress that is url-rewritten to the root from a subfolder. It took me some debugging to solve it, but I managed to get the thing going.
Due to the nature of this plugin, I can imagine it won’t play nicely with a lot of other plugins that don’t stick to the WP standards, probably leading to a lot of blames on bwp instead. There’s not much the author can do about it, but retro-actively identify these scenario’s, and implement warnings for them.

While at first I detected no trouble in the appearance or behaviour of my site, I then noticed the following:
1. It had only minified js files, not css files, (even though both options were checked).
2. It clashed with my theme and child theme, ignoring certain styles/rules applied. I saw the default colors of my theme instead of my own style.css. This could mean that it did some kind of minification on one of the style.css files, (?). I made sure my own style.css was chosen to load through my theme’s options, but it just ignored it despite the fact that it was checked all along!
3. I de-activated the plugin, to see if the issue would go away, but to no avail.
4. I deleted it, and voila..my child theme’s preferences were back..!!!
What on earth..? I’m just GLAD I got my style.css back!
No I wouldn’t recommended unless you really know exactly all the plugin’s in and out’s and you are a pro somehow..! I only left it at default settings, merely to try/test it out..but no, it didn’t do it!
Most importantly, when I ran my site through Gooogle’s ‘Page Speed insights’, the speed had not really improved, it remained the same. While it stated that it saw JS minification, it did not recognise any minification in CSS, (the same ‘unminified’ files were still showing up as ‘warnings’).
Just thought I’d report my experience/findings instead of just giving it a 1 star without much explanation!

It would be nice if this can send the data as part of HTTP/2 server push as soon as possible.

Many minifiers I’ve tried have been slow and resource intensive. BWP Minify does what it’s supposed to, without putting too much of a strain on the server. Will keep recommending this to customers.

In my site with nginx doesn’t work the custom directory, or the pretty urls.
]]>Rating: 2 stars
But on the other hand, none of the minifying plugins seem to do anything except trash my layout. At least it came back to life when I deactivated the plugin.

Thanks Khang, for all the time you put into creating this very useful plugin.
I have a number of plugins (Visual Composer and related) with a dozen or so css files and half a dozen js files.
Just used the basic settings of the plugin and it works very well.

All the css and javascripts ??
It is the worst plugin ever.
I don’t know hot to restore all the files.
