This migrator plugin does what it’s supposed to do and fairly quickly as well.
I used it to migrate websites from TransIP to Cloudways.
There are a couple of details to be mindful of though:
– Add the domain via Domain Management (and make it the primary)
– In the migrated wordpress site – search and replace the temporary domain to the real domain using WP-CLI
– After migration the Migrator plugin has a built-in preference for the Breeze cache plugin (maintained by CloudWays). The Migrator plugin apparently deactivates other caching plugings like WP-Rocket without explicitely letting you know. This kinda freaked me out as I wasn’t sure the clone was a 100% accurate.
– Remember to clear the cache
– Remember to restart Redis service
– Remember to purge Varnish service

We have used this plugin many times and it has worked flawlessly every time.

My main issue is that it tends to be incredibly slow

I could migrate a WP Multisite with this plugin. Database, files and most configurations went on perfectly but at the end you may have to do some hacking on files like wp-config.php to fix URL direction problems. The whole Multisite was 9GB and it took a couple of hours so don’t despair. As long as the progress bars move eventually the process finishes. Of course this was my experience and I’ve only tested it once.

Just used this plugin to migrate 2 sites, and it worked well.
Main thing I needed to do after was a “find and replace” on the database for cloudways URLs, to replace them with the domain URL.
Would happily use again.

I honestly created an account just to post this.
This migration tool is dumb and not working at all! We are trying to migrate our site using this for 4 TIMES using this and all failed.
Support is no help at all. Im so DISAPPOINTED!
If you need to migrate a critical site, do not use CLOUDWAYS!

For the most part, the plugin works flawlessly and quickly to copy a WP to another WP installation on Cloudway server. Until today. I have a client site hosted with NameCheap and am not having success copying over using this plugin. Copying process completed successfully. However, when I view the destination site (on Cloudway server) I get an error of something along the line ‘Redis connection error..” Can’t log in the admin either because of the error. I redid the process 3 times, same problem. The site is a simple site with less than 100mb of data and files. I used another migration plugin, I could copy the site over with no problem.

I recently shifted my websites from Godaddy to Cloudways. And migration was very smooth and quick with the help of this plugin. Within few minutes it migrated my company website to Cloudways with any error. It is one of the most valuable plugins I ever saw.
Thanks
Pramod

More robust than the Siteground Migrator.

This plugin works better than UpDraft Migrator, Shipper, AIO, etc! I think because it uses direct ftp access, but it has made moving all of my sites to Cloudways so easy!

Cloudways provides a great tutorial on migration, and this plugin makes it easy to move your site.

The plugin didn’t work for any of my migration attempts, even though I was with cloudways support monitoring while in process.
This is not even a cloudways plugin, it’s a third party (BlogVault) plugin. So Cloudways can’t help with this, they themselves need to contact BlogVault’s support.
I wouldn’t waste your time trying this. If I were Cloudways I’d discontinue offering this option. Makes them look unprofessional.

I migrated a few sites over to Cloudways from Flywheel using this plugin. It was fine but when I tried to install plugins on the migrated site, there was a critical error.
Spoke to their support but they refused to take responsibility. blamed it on PHP, theme and plugin incompatibility and said this was out of the scope of service lol.
On their sales page, it says 100% bug-free migration. Even their team that manually did the migration encountered this issue.
What a joke of a service.

I love Cloudways (I host all my sites with them) but I’m sorry this plugin doesn’t work for me. Credentials validated by the plugin but ends up with an error message when reaching 95%. Tried multiple times the migration and always the same… Will adjust my review when I see it works for me
EDIT : After submitting ticket to the support, it seems that some data in the table wp_postmeta are failing to be migrated from SiteGround to Cloudways. I quote the support “We have shared this error with the plugin author they are checking on it and will update us accordingly. Meanwhile, your patience will be highly appreciated”
I’m waiting ??

It’s an amazing plugin and I am using it to clone my client’s sites to staging mode but it there should be an option to exclude the folders inside wp-content because some people uses Updraft or other backup tools and there is no option to exclude them. There is no sense to transfer those folder to staging sites.

I have to give this team 5 stars for patience, a well-written app, absolutely stellar customer support. I’m just too new to managing the webserv end of things to effectively run this, so I had to bail to a more managed solution for now.

Can’t believe how easy it was and cloudways is way better and faster than bluehost.. Should have done it earlier.

Used it to migrate seven websites and it migrated all of them without any issues. It’s pretty fast too.

We’re using this plugin to duplicate client sites to our test server in order to troubleshoot plugin bugs and conflicts. Splendid!

I used this plugin to migrate 2 of my wordpress sites . The migration was very smooth and very very easy . Switching over to cloudways has been one of the best decisions I made in my online life . Thanks .

Works perfect, pretty easy. Two tips for anyone.
1. Clear cache after migration to see updated website.
2. Disable any SSL plugins before migrating to prevent force-ssl issues.

I’ve never migrated any websites before. So I was going into this with much hesitation, but I really didn’t need too. So far I’m 5/5 sites and its a 100% success rate, with A+’s all around. Absolutely perfect! Thanks Cloudways ??

Works exactly like it says it does. Moved a few websites so far (including a Multisite) using their tool, and could not complain at all! Great plugin! Will be using it more to migrate more sites over to Cloudways.

I have got issues using any of my website to cloudways and end up to do it manually, they were simple website but ‘just out’ of the scope of this tool. At the end I m moving away from cloudways, added value doesn’t worth the price.

Works well and very simple for easy migration…

If you’re going to the Cloudways platform their migration tool works great.
