Thanks for this awesome plugin. I have upgraded my site to WP 6.7 and Woo 9.41 and found out this plugin no longer functioning.
]]>Steps to reproduce:
Expected outcome: Posts will be removed from category & status set to ‘published’.
Actual outcome: Posts are removed from category, but status remains ‘draft’.
Note:
Hi, really love the plugin but it needs a serious update as it is currently incompatible with ‘High-Performance order storage’ HPOS for Woocommerce.
Is there an ETA when this will be updated?
]]>Hi
I am bulk adding to one category and want to bulk remove the posts that are attached to uncategorised. Every time I run the plugin though it removes the other category not the uncategorised. For clarification:
Doesn’t get removed and it removes the category added at 1.

]]>Hi there! just wondering if there will be a future update to declare HPOS compatible. Many thanks.
]]>Hello,
Thank you so much for this plugin !
My WordPress version is 6.0.1
Nothing appears in the Woocommerce products and media bulk edit editor.
Thanks for your help
Olivier
]]>Great plugin which adds a glaringly missing feature to WordPress!
One suggestion: The “Remove from category” checkbox should say “Remove from term” or “Remove term”.
Since this works on all taxonomies, using the word category can be confusing since that’s a specific taxonomy.
]]>Thank you for this nifty plugin. You just saved me hours.
Works with WP 6.0.1 and WC 6.7.0 (at least for me).
Do you have anything for sale or a website to visit? Would like to show support for the helpful plugin you created and maintain.
]]>Not sure if it’s just me or the plugin but being my favourite plugin it is no longer working, right after the update to WP 6.0. Would like to know if anyone has the same problem here and any advice?
]]>Hi,
your plugin worked fine until three months ago, then it stopped working.
Can you send me a cost estimate to correct this error?
Thanks
Hello, this plugin doesn’t seem to be working for me. I’m using WordPress 5.9 on NGINX server. I have used this plugin previously on my other sites, but it doesn’t work anymore.
I have also contacted the developer from this contact form: https://masterns-studio.com/#contact
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Haris
Latest WordPress version and tried to remove post from a category and it spent time doing something but then then nothing had changed. Well i hope nothing bad was done since I have no idea what the plugin was doing. The category is still there.
]]>I’m reposting this from my reply to another thread, since it may address the problem that so many of the recent “it doesn’t work” threads are having.
I found a StackExchange thread that offered a solution. I tested it (with a tweak to make it pull the site’s URL dynamically) and added this code into the plugin directly, and it solved the problem for me:
add_filter('allowed_http_origins', function($origins) {
$origins[] = home_url('');
return $origins;
});
Obviously if/when the plugin is updated and this fix is not part of that update, the change will get lost. This could easily go into your theme’s functions.php
file instead.
The remove option is not available for woocommerce.
Can you help?
]]>I am wondering it is related to the recent update?
I am running 5.7.2
Thank you for checking.
Plugin downloaded today; WordPress 5.7. Standard WP installation. No Woocommerce or anything similar.
Filtered all posts to the selected category I wished to remove two test posts from.
Checked two test posts.
Checked Bulk/Edit/Apply.
Checked selected category and “Remove from category”.
Hit Update.
Message: “2 posts updated”. But they weren’t. The two test posts were still assigned to the selected category.
Repeated. Same outcome. Repeated. Same outcome.
This plugin is so simple and logical it seems as if it cannot help but work, but, so far it has not, at least for me.
Any suggestions appreciated.
]]>Hi !
It seems the plugin doesn’t work for Woocommerce products anymore… that’s why I needed it, and it doesn’t do anything.
Do you plan to update it so this functionnality comes back ? ??
Clément
]]>The plugin works well for me but to add some categories and remove others, I have to visit the bulk edit page twice.
I think it could be done pretty easily in one step: by showing the list of categories twice: one to add the categories (the default one), one to remove. In other words, duplicate the list of categories instead of adding a checkbox to modify the behavior of the original list.
]]>As others say, plugins not working with WooCommerce products
]]>Hi,
Just mirroring what a few other users have also mentioned in this forum, that it doesn’t work with Woocommerce.
I have deactivated all plugins (except your plugin and Woocommerece of course) and also activated the official Woocommerce Storefront theme (just to make sure my theme wasn’t causing any conflict).
So I go to All Products, select the first 5 products, go to Bulk Actions -> Edit and click Apply, then hit the Remove from category checkbox, and finally click Update. The products I selected still have categories.
Running WordPress 5.6 and Woocommerece 4.9.0.
]]>Hello,
I have a CPT with three custom taxonomies. We want to bulk remove a few posts from a custom taxonomy, but when I hit “Update” after making the edit it does not save.
A video of this can be seen here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1J3VqbsLIeXEaR7KFrksw9D84llXiDCSo/view?usp=sharing
]]>We have a custom post type with multiple hierarchical taxonomies associated to it. It seems that this plugin only can support 1 taxonomy, whereas it would be great for this to work with multiple taxonomies.
]]>Hello. Your plugin is a much needed function, which I’ve used successfully on our site when it’s on my local development environment. Unfortunately it doesn’t appear to be working on our live site hosted with SiteGround. I’ve deactivated all the other plugins on the site to see if that helps, but alas, no.
Do you know of a hosting specific blockage that might be occurring and that I can request the web hosts to change?
]]>Hi,
I’m enjoying your plugin very much, but there’s a caveat: when there are more than 100 product categories created in woocommerce, and I select a few products in bulk, in order to detach the product from a few categories, the plugin does not remove it from the selected categories.
]]>Hello,
I have downloaded this plugin and when it works it is incredible, but it does not work all the time!
I have tried deactivating ALL but 1 (Codisto LinQ, I cannot deactivate this as it is critical) other plugins apart from WooCommerce and Bulk remove posts from category and still does not guarantee to work all the time.
I will be glad to donate to the cause if this can be remedied.
System versions as followed:
WordPress: 5.5.3
WooCommerce: 4.6.2 (Soon to be 4.7)
Bulk remove posts from category: 3.1.1
Running on CentOS 7 server with Apache as the web server. (This probably is not needed but never know.)
Is there anything I can try that you know of? If you need any other information, I will gladly assist!
Kind regards,
Harry
]]>Hi, I am trying to organize all of my categories in Woocommerce and the plugin was working one out of 10 times, and now isn’t working at all.
I am not sure if there is a plugin conflict because we have 59 plugins.
The plugin runs, and the screen refreshes, and upon refresh, all of the products remain in the category that I remove them from.
I’ve spent most of today attempting to remove 39 items from a category, probably 20 times so far, and it just won’t work.
]]>Plugin does “nothing” on our bi-ligual site using polylang plugin.
I read there is a work-around for WPML. Maybe similar issue? Is there a fix/work-around for polylang?
Hi there,
I’m also having an issue with this not working. I’ve tried deactivating all plugins EXCEPT for WooCommerce (as the items I’m trying to edit are WooCommerce products) but it still isn’t functioning. Plugin is up to date and freshly installed, and everything else on the site is up to date as well.
I’ve tried bulk editing as little as two products at a time, but it makes no difference. I’m trying to remove 21 products from a shop category that is redundant.
Any tips are appreciated!
I just found out, I can only use “Bulk remove posts from category” plugin when admin columns pro is inactivated.
]]>We have cron for import products from external sources. The new products are assigned to category “Novinky” (News) and from there, admin should be able to assign more products to another categories by once. Assigning to categories works fine, however, when he want to remove from category “Novinky”, everything seems to be OK, he get the succesfull notice, but products stays in category “Novinky”. It seems, that it doens’t work. I really don’t know why, because everything is upgraded to the newest version.
The category “Novinky” was tagged as default woo category, however we have changed it, because we suppose, it could caused the problem. But I am afraid not.
If you need to get to the wp-admin, please, contact me on [email protected] to get the entrance data.
Thank you for help
