Hello and thank you for your plugin! I really like it.
The only problem is, that the RSS link is not working.
It shows an XML file without any style information. How can I change that?
Another thing is the look: There is a dot above the text of each activity instead of a header or link or text. is that right?
Is it possible to enlarge the text size and change the color of the names?
Thank you for your help!
]]>Hello, thank you very much for the plugin. I’m very happy with it. Only one thing is not going well yet. If you have posted a message with an image, it will post your text with the name of the image.
How can I ensure that the name of the image is not placed. It would be very nice if it would put the image in small.
The links in the replies to comments are showing in a vertical list. I also have two spam buttons that seem to have the same css classes etc. Is there a way to remove one of them?
]]>In the h5 tag, that says “What’s New…” the username shows as the logged user until you visit someone else’s profile page. Then it changes to the username of the profile page you’re visiting. Is there a fix for this? I wasn’t sure how to search for it in the forum.

I’ve changed the settings in my wordpress general settings to make the site https but the links within Site Wide Activities are still pointing to http. I don’t have caching enabled and all the other links have changed to https. Any advise on where to look to find the issue?

]]>Hi,
When I try to install your plugin on my wordpress multisite (4.9.4), I can’t add any widget anymore on wordpress.
If I choose personalize instead of going into dashboard / customize / widgets, I’m getting a PHP error :

Hi, love your plugin, it almost does the job ?? Got 2 questions:
I read that you would implement a link to the activity page, is that something that is coming in near future, so when showing e.g. 10 word the user can click to read more?
I have installed a plugin ‘BuddyPress Edit Activity’ from BoddyBoss, and it places an Edit button in the widget, can I somehow hide this in the widget?
Hope you can help ??
]]>Would it be possible to create a window where you could scroll the activities instead of just displaying a block, which takes up a lot of space? Not just the <- 1 2 3 -> but with several activities displayed instead of one but can be scrolled?
And can we link to the activities page on the widget?
]]>Hi,
I really like this plugin, but after isolating the above issue, I found it removes the custom set avatars (thumbnails) in the BuddyPress toolbar (top right corner of the site) and in the admin backend. They revert to the default mystery person. The other profile and widget avatars (including the BP sitewide activity widget) remain intact.
I see that the swa.js and ajax.php files make quite a few references to the avatars, but I’m not a coder, so I have no clue how to fix the problem. Any help would be much appreciated ??
Any way to let members search through their previously uploaded images when adding an image to the post form?

I have added the widget in my template using this code

I have to say that its a Great Plugin. I recently experienced that I’ve votes enabled in my site and I don’t want to show this in activity so I checked in a widget using “Exclude following Components activity” but its still showing.

]]>Hi Brajesh,
I uploaded the plugin yesterday, which seemed to work fine, until i realised that it affected the code of the plugin ‘visual composer.’ Now I have deactivated and deleted this plugin, but my visual composer is still not working – as a result my website is displaying only errors on every page i am visiting. I am wondering what is happening. My theme developers are saying that it is not a problem from their end. I am not a word press expert and this has come like a tsunami to me.
Need your urgent help please!
Thanks a tonne,
Shivangi

]]>Hello! Thank you very much for this plugin. It’s exactly what I was searching for.
I just have two bugs that I’ve found:
1. Could you add the widget_titles apply_filters to the title? It’s standard WordPress practice to do so and I use it to make the first word of each title a different font. Line 56 of widget.php I added echo $before_title . apply_filters( ‘widget_title’, $instance[‘title’] ); and it works great
2. There is an error on the search page. When I search for a term using the standard WordPress search the activity stream only displays items with that search term, not really the behavior expected.
Thanks for having a look into these. Really appreciate it!

]]>Hi,
This started I think with the previous WP update as the plugin has been giving me a “fatal error” when I activate it for well over a month (maybe two). Any chance you’ll be updating it soon? Or any ideas what may be causing this? I haven’t had it activated in awhile, but I’d like to reactivate it.
Thanks,
Amy

If not, are there any plans for an option to enable this plugin to use ajax, so cache can be avoided.

First, I’d like to say thanks tfor your widget : I’ve looked for something like this for a while !
A little question : I’d like to know if EVERY activity could appear on that widget. For example, for now, if someone comment someone’s publication, the comment won’t appear in the activity widget.
Only appearing big activty : contact beetween 2 ppl, new article…
Do you think that could be something easy to correct ?
Thanks again !

]]>Hi. I love the plugin. I have one problem i can’t seem to resolve. There’s a drop down menu on the sitewide activity page that has the options to show everything or new members or profile updates or updates or friendships. I DO NOT want them to have this option to choose. I ONLY WANT the updates option to be available. I’m using this widget as a picture contest forum and new users all have to figure out how to see the pics only by selecting update from the drop down menu of show. I want to make it dumbie proof. So how can the only option for show be the update option?
Thanks a million,
Ken

]]>Hi Brajesh,
Another very cool plugin! Thank you!
I see there is a way to show the logged in users activity only, but is it possible to show the logged in users Friends Activity only? Similar to the feed in a users profile “Activity Tab” -> “Friends Tab”?
It also appears the filters were not working when clicked. The only errors I was able to find are:
Notice: Array to string conversion in /nas/wp/www/website/name/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-sitewide-activity-widget/template-tags.php on line 59
Notice: Array to string conversion in /nas/wp/www/website/name/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-sitewide-activity-widget/template-tags.phpon line 64
I’m not sure if these are related to the filters, but they showed up on the feed when in debug.
Thanks for everything and let me know if you need anymore intel.
All the best,
Carl

]]>When someone posts a comment and then edits said comment, each of these actions creates a new activity that shows up in the sitewide activity widget. I am attempting to only show one activity in this case, with the comment shown being the most recent edit. I was able to achieve this with a *very* hackish loop as follows (pagination was not needed, max activities of 25):
//****************************************************
// Remove duplicate activity items
// Keeping things together that I am working on…
function removeDuplicates($array){
$new_array = array();
foreach ($array as $i=>$item_i):
$found = false;
foreach ($new_array as $j=>$item_j):
if ($item_i->primary_link == $item_j->primary_link && $item_i->id > $item_j->id):
$new_array[$j] = $item_i;
$found = true;
endif;
endforeach;
if ($found == false):
$new_array[] = $item_i;
endif;
endforeach;
//print_r($new_array);
return($new_array);
}
// Loop over all the activities and add to an array of unique IDs
$activities = array();
$topics = array();
$ypes = array();
$secondaryFilter = array();
$result = bp_activity_get( ‘type=sitewide&max=’ . $max . ‘&page=’. $page . ‘&per_page=’ . $per_page . ‘&object=’ . $scope . “&user_id=” . $user_id . “&primary_id=” . $primary_id . ‘&scope=0′ );
$result = $result[‘activities’];
$result = removeDuplicates($result);
//print_r($result);
foreach ($result as $item):
//print_r($item);
$activities[] = $item->id;
endforeach;
$start = ($page – 1) * $per_page;
$end = ($page * $per_page);
// $activities = array_splice($activities, $start, $end);
//print_r($activities); echo ‘:::’;
//print_r($types); echo ‘:::’;
?>
<?php //if ( bp_has_activities( ‘type=sitewide&max=’ . $max . ‘&page=’. $page . ‘&per_page=’ . $per_page . ‘&object=’ . $scope . “&user_id=” . $user_id . “&primary_id=” . $primary_id . ‘&scope=0′ ) ) : ?>
<?php if ( bp_has_activities( ‘in=’ . implode(‘,’,$activities) ) ) : ?>
<?php
// END Remove duplicate activity items
//****************************************************
?>
Is there an easier way to do this? This hack I have currently will not scale to large quantities. This is not a theme dependent issue. The original bp_has_activities() is the one that is commented out.

Using Buddypress Follow is it possible to show posts for those you follow / follow you as well as friends? I saw it had been asked before, I was just checking I hadn’t missed it ??
My problem today is when posting a link into it, just the url not embed code or anything, it displays as very large, rather than sizing to the boundaries of the box. Do you know why / what I could do to fix that?
It is fine in the normal activity areas, like group, profile feed etc, just your widget.
I will pm you the site link when you reply as it’s not finished and I don’t want it picked up online. ??
Thanks in advance,
Kirsty

I really like this plugin, however what I’m looking for is a way to show the sitewide activity in a normal BuddyPress post. I have a “start page” on my site where I show the latest bbPress forum threads using their shortcode and would like to show the latest 20 sitewide activities below that.
Would it be possible to add this as a feature to this plugin? Thank you in advance!
