Hello
I have had success changing the color of the Like Button to a charcoal gray but cannot figure out how to change the font color. I would like it to be white instead of black so it is more readable.
Thank you!
]]>I see the favorite_count
in the database, but is there a function to grab that number?
Great plugin you have.
but, I notice on my site, the ‘LIKE’ button doesn’t have the ‘LIKE’ label on it.
It’s just a plain button.
Could it be my theme maybe?
Thank you for your time..
Hi,
if you Like and then unlike your own activity post it will be deleted.

]]>Hello,
I have found a version of your plugin in https://github.com/Darrenmeehan/BuddyPress-Like
I understand that it is not the 0.3 version in www.remarpro.com repository, but a future version under development, correct? If that is the case, do you have any indication of when it will be released?
If I may suggest a few things, these would be:
1. Please try to include all text either in the translation file or the admin settings. I have seen a few not included, e.g. “My Likes”, “Stats”, “Output stats on how many likes the users content got”.
2. Since BuddyPress supports emoji, try to support in the plugin as well. It would be very usefull to include ?? for example in the Like button text.
3. There is a Like Page to be connected in BuddyPress settings, but it doed not seem to work. Is it possible to explain what is the functionality for that?
Thank you
]]>Hello guys,
Trying to find a solution here for the notifications.
Have looked everywhere (including this forum, which stated as resolved) however still havnt had any luck.
Has anyone been able to get buddypress likes notifications???
In the topbar, along with new notifications and if it integrates with the brilliant live notifications plug in that would be amazing!
Hope someone out there has been able to solve it.
Thank you for your time!
]]>Hi all,
Has anyone ever been able to translate this plugin? I have the .po .mo files but it doesn’t work. any ideas?
Thank you,
Leo
Hi Darren,
I’ve been integrating your like button into a new BuddyPress build, and it seems that whenever a user likes then unlikes a post using the button, before refreshing the page, the entire activity feed is deleted.
Upon inspection, it’s actually deleted every status update in the backend. Is this something you’re familiar with? If so, do you have a fix?
Thanks, Graeme
]]>Hello,
I want to add “My likes” nav link under “Activity” sub nav like “Personal”,”Mentions” etc and this link show all like activity of user.
Is it possible?
Thanks
Whether during the installation of the plugin button appears “Like” on blogpost? If you appear to be, then it is not my site . why?
]]>Hi!
Just started using Buddypress and installed Buddypress Like, and I noticed a layout problem.
For example, on a post/status update, there are extra line breaks after the “Delete” button which break the layout of the buttons.
The unwanted extra line breaks come:
– after the “Delete” button
– inside the “Like” button, just before the “Like” text
– after the “Like” button, just before the “Spam” button
On top of this I use a Finnish translation of Buddypress, and Buddypress Like is somehow automatically translated into Finnish as well… I have tried, but just can’t even find where it takes the translations from.
So, I have no clue if the problem comes from Buddypress, Buddypress Like or the translation file(s)… any help would be appreciated. The extra line break after “Delete” button was there already before I installed Buddypress Like, but the line break inside the “Like” button breaks the layout even further.
]]>Is that possible to show up likes as a notification?
]]>When you like a buddypress activity, you have a “repost”, something like
“Rami liked this post”
………… excerpt………..
The thing is that this new post does not tell you the total likes. It seems that you have this information only in the original post.
Which is not very useful, as you’ll never know the total likes unless you go to the original post. It’d be nice something like:
“Rami liked this post”
………… excerpt………..
[here the total like button and total count again, like in the original post]
Would you please give me a hint to which file should I look for customising, I’m not sure what to look for.
Thanks!
Ramiro
can be done also for forums? bbpress
]]>Deleted plugin with ftp and seems ok.
Just a warning, and to those who don’t have ftp especially
]]>I found BuddyPress Likes, the last production version does not work on latest 4.3 however the development version 3.0 works off author’s github; only I need to still figure two things 1. How to get like button to display on posts and 2. How to have a menu entry for your own likes that any other user can see.
Site I’m working on for earthquake survivors in Nepal:
https://www.goodsofnepal.com
I just cleaned a client’s site and installed the latest version of this plugin (0.2.0 as of right now), and buddypress-like/includes/bplike.php is trying to include buddypress-like/includes/activity-comment-button.php, which does not exist:
line 39
require_once BPLIKE_PATH . ‘includes/activity-comment-button.php’;
Also missing, line 42:
require_once BPLIKE_PATH . ‘includes/ajax.php’;
Line 36:
require_once BPLIKE_PATH . ‘admin/admin.php’;
Without those the plugin does not work at all. It looks like the developer did not test this at all before uploading the latest version.

]]>So I was just finishing up my site and decided to install this plugin. I selected it from the dashboard and clicked activate and that’s when everything went awry.
Even the activation page wouldn’t load and now, well, now none of my site will load. I just get a blank screen as if every bit of code had been erased.
https://www.exoanthology.com See for yourself.
I really don’t want to have to completely start from scratch, so I’m hoping someone can help me out here, at least tell me how to manually uninstall it from an FTP program or something.
Regards.
]]>Hi everyone,
I’ve added many fixes to the development version over on Github, I’d appreciate if anyone could take the time to test this before I release the changes here in the coming days.
Only carry this out on a test site, unless you know what you’re doing. To download the plugin click the “Download ZIP” button on the right of the site, and then upload and install as normal.

To solve this issue, deactivate BuddyPress plugin and empty page cache. I hope this helps
]]>Hello,
I have just installed Like plugin. There are a few glitches. I can like activity on the main activity page but not from my profile page. The page reloads and there is nothing.
Also, the count is off when multiple users Like something. For example, when there are 3 likes: It says, “Name, name and 3 other liked this.” It should say 1 other.
I really like the plugin in any solution?
Thanks.
]]>Left sidebar no longer moves/scrolls on desktops with the Buddypress Like plugin activated.

Hope you can fix as it’s a much need addition to Buddypress
Now, for the first 2 users who liked the post its showing Username of who liked …..but after that its shows only the numbers (how many ppl liked it) not the name who liked it….!

WP 4.2.2
BP 2.3.2.1
Trying this plugin for the first time.
Successfully installed but nothing shows up in posts or profile.
Could you please provide a screenshot to see how it is supposed to look like?
]]>Hi!
Great plugin! Really looking forward to future versions, with translations and notifications ??
I have a problem – saving settings works fine on localhost, but once installed on web hosting, I get a 403 access denied when saving settings.
(Access denied to requested file or folder – /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=bp-like-settings)
All other plugins work, so it must be some security error in this plugin?
Best regards // Isabelle
