It seems that the developer for this plugin is no longer active.
I would love a plugin that has the function to change visibility of a profile field based on user roles so that only certain people can see it on the front end. I am making a directory and I want the contact details of people to be not visible unless you are signed in and have a specific user role. Unfortunately this doesn’t do that, which is what I though it would do.
If anyone has a solution, I’d love to hear it. (after installation, it’s accessed from the Dashboard -> Users.
]]>Hi there,
I wanted to use the plugin as it is super useful for long sign-up forms.
Unfortunately it is creating issues with the order of my sign-up form. I order the fields in a certain way. Once I use/activate the plugin, the whole order changes and cannot be changed anymore.
Suggestions on this?
Thanks,
Bye Jessica
Thank you for this handy plugin!
In Users>Conditional Groups, why can I not see the ‘Personal (Primary)’ profile field group, listed?
Thank you.
]]>Hi,
this works great, thank you.
However, can those fields hide also after user change his user-role?
We have premium accounts – and you can fill up special fields like your url and it will show in your account.
When users role expire… the fields still shows in his/her profile
(he/she can’t edit them, this works great)
Any chance those fields would hide too?
Thanks a lot
After trying that plugin, I know that the functionality of that plugin is like this: If I checklist the Group A for role Editor, then subscriber and other roles will not see the Editor’s Group A data.
I’m looking for the opposite of the above idea. For example, If I checklist the Group A for role Editor, so then the Editor cannot see other role’s Group A data.
How can I have this? or is that possible to modify the plugin php code?

Is this a problem with my theme?

]]>Hi, thank you for this great plugin! Wondering if you can help with this question. Got everything set up, and then I added some s2member ccap’s (custom capabilities), when you do that, every group shows up. Is there some way I can fix this?
Thanks again!

]]>with BuddyPress version 2.2 or higher you can decide the type of user.
I could use this plugin to hide certain groups fields according to the type and not the role.
it’s possible?
thankyou in advance

]]>Dear Tanner,
Great plugin you created. I thought it would save my day. But unfortunatelly it works just a little bit different then I expected.
With this plguin The selected field groups of a user role are hidden.
We would need a function to hide visibility of groups or fields to an active user role.
So when a certain user role is looking at profiles of OTHER users. He should not see the selected groups (or fields)
Is this achievable with a slight adaptation of your plugin?

]]>Hi. I wrote you something similar in the Contact are in your website, but I’m no sure if you get those emails since there is not a Contact Menu and I think I wasn’t able to leave a message in your blog because of an error.
Anyway, I need to clear/uncheck a check box when the “user role” of a user is change (in this case from Author to Subscriber). When the user role is changed, I was able to hide the field using your PlugIn “BuddyPress Conditional Field Groups”. The problem is that the search engine in my site still sees that check-box field in the group your PlugIn hid because they are still checked.
I’m not a programer, but I assume that the logic could go like this:
If User role = Subscriber
Then checkbox(Community College).uncheck
End if
Thank your for your time and sorry if you got multiple messages.
