I use bridgedd pro for phpbb 3.2 since 6 months now and this plugin works perfectly.
The plugin does all i need (crossposting, recent topics widget, unified account…)
The author Dion also does an excellent support of his plugin, he always gives advise or finds solution.
5 stars.

I had some issues with installing the new version of the plugin due to upgrades to phpbb. Dion helped me in a great way so now the site running smooth again.
I’m using this plugin now for some years and it is the best for this function available.

Dion has created a product worthy of the WP Hall of Fame! I don’t usually rave about software unless it is 100% awesome, but BridgeDD Pro is that and more.
This bridge allows my wordpress site and phpbb forums to be flawlessly integrated in ways I had not even thought up!
The support from Dion itself is second to none, and I have already renewed my subscription to his support forum months in advance, so I can readily get the updates as they roll out.
This plugin has ALREADY been updated for WordPress 5.0’s implementation of Gutenberg, and integrates my WordPress menu across all of my forums pages with no problem at all.
Please give it a try!

Documentation is largely unclear on a great many things and is poorly done.
“BridgeDD is not compatible with the XCache extension. Please use Zend OPcache instead.”
No instructions anywhere for why this is an issue or how to resolve it as host requires this PHP cache extension for security purposes. I am not going to give a wordpress mod direct access to the root file system on a server. My host has flagged this mod as a major security hazard and request that I do not use it.

This plugin has sorted our phpbb integration woes. We also needed support from the plugin author which was very good and expedient.

Seems to do just what I need, thank you!

I must give Dion 10/10 for this plugin. I had no problems with installation (besides my own impatience to get things going). There are obviously numerous plugins which WP users rave about, I have three, Formidable Forms, Yoast SEO and now BridgeDD. Remarkable work. Just make sure you have the registered version for the latest WP installation.

This module does not allow you to use your theme menu if this one is not the base wordpress menu same for everything else if its a specific (and so good?) theme you wont be able to use it with this bridge.

This plugin works very well. Sadly it has no “social login”

I liked this plugin straight out of the gate, but was interested in purchasing the professional edition. I tend to ask lots of questions as my vision impairment makes it hard for me to accomplish many new tasks.
Dion worked closely with me to ensure all of my questions were answered.
Before we were though, I decided to simply hire Dion to install the plugin for me, set up my site to work with mobile devices and match the color of both the WordPress and PhpBB sides of the site. Less than 24 hours later, I had a site that would have taken me 6 months or more to build.
I was exceptionally pleased with Dion’s work and have already decided to hire him again in a few months. I have an old site built in plain HTML about 15 years ago which needs to be switched to mobile friendly. The exact setup he just did for my new site will work perfectly for the old site too.

I’m running the latest stable release of phpbb (3.1) and am required to downgrade to 3.0 in order to avoid the “No phpbb installations found on your server error”

PRO
I am using WP 4.1 (Avada theme + UberMenu)+ phpBB 3.1 (Subway theme) and the pro version does a multi login/logout with both CMS without any additional CPU usage.
CON
The author will have you subscribe to his support forum with your credit card for 40$/year if you want the pro version. It’s not a 1 time fee, so you will have to cancel your subscription manually if you don’t want to pay another 40$ the next year. This information is present on his site. The fee is for being a member of his support forum, not for the plugin (pro version).
The integration of your WP menu (header) is tricky. The plugin will fetch ALL WP menu items with it’s own HTML tags when you use twig shortcode with phpBB. This means any user role access rules with your menu or a dynamic login/logout button will not work (no styles, ALL menu items, no additional header code like for the background image).
In case you are good with a static header/menu, you will have to manually copy all HTML/CSS/JS rules to your phpBB header (copy all code or manually select the correct code). Further you will have to update this code any time there are changes with the menu or header. You can only display static menu items.
Multi login works, theme integration just for those who know how to include HTML and links for CSS/JS. The current approach to integrate the menu does not work correct.
I will change my review to 5 stars as soon as the plugin is able to fetch the correct header and footer on it’s own.

I’ve been using this plugin for a while now for all my clients so they can bridge WP with phpBB and my Premium Themes
Works wonderfully and the end result is terrific. From a technical point of view I can tell you there is no comparison on the quality of the plugin and the support as well. All my clients are happy and love their integration.

So as specified in the installation instructions, I had to disable eAccelator (it seems there’s no universal way to do this, so it depends of your own setup), else nothing was happening.
This pluging settings force you to disable either the registration of users in WP or PhpBB3, and it removes the related “register” links, but both login pages are still active, so it means one of them doesn’t have any “register” link and thus become puzzling for new users. I had to hack my way in WP to make all logins sent to PhpBB3.
Hint: PhpBB3 supports “redirect” parameter on its login page, so you can add that in your theme functions.php file :
add_filter( 'login_url', 'custom_login_url', 10, 2 );
function custom_login_url( $login_url, $redirect ) {
$new_login_url = '<YourForumURL>/ucp.php?mode=login&redirect='.$redirect;
return $new_login_url;
}
Plus it’s required to manually edit bridgedd_config.php to make the ugly “do you want to integrate your account into WP” screen disappear.
Except that, it works nicely, and doesn’t take any extra CPU resource, unlike another bridge I tried that was hacking PhpBB3’s common.php file to load WP login stuff inside the Forum.

First and foremost – thank you Dion for such a great support you gave me, for free no less, and for giving us BridgeDD.
Five stars because this bridge really works and because you’re such a nice developer.
There are a few cons, such as no multisite support and avatars don’t get automatically imported from WordPress into phpBB, but those are minor in comparison to what this bridge offers.
Again, thank you Dion.

It truly works !
BridgeDD connects your users on both wp and phpbb whenever they use one or the other connect form.
But, it only does this.
You still have to work on your Styles and Templates to make the bridge perfectly transparent, because Bridge DD only makes the connection.
Still, it is really simple to install and effective in 2 clics (on new WP 3.9.1 and new Phpbb 3.0.12)

Was looking around for a plugin that bridges the logins between phpbb and WordPress. All the ones I came across were either for older versions, not maintained, or cost too much. Then I saw that this one was released very recently, installed it, and it worked great.
After updating the plugin, I had an error or two on my phpbb forum, so I posted in Dion Designs’ forum and the author put out a new version the next day which fixed it. The author also included additional functionality into this free version which was originally in a paid version.

I tried version 1.2 and version 1.2.1 and followed directions and support on their forum. This might be a good product down the road as the concept seems nice but for now it simply doesn’t work. I’ll be rolling back to wordpress 3.8 and using wp-united like I did before.

Plugin is light and works great!
Author’s support is perfect.
Thank you!
