Thanks for the plugin, I use it together with ‘BP Post Status’ to group blogs. This functionality should actually belong in the core of BuddyPress.
Even without updates, it still seems to work with the current BuddyPress version.
Something that unfortunately doesn’t work (anymore?) is the upload of images, regardless of user roles. Even after the additional installation of ‘Advanced Editor Tools’, only images from the URL can be integrated.
It would be absolutely sufficient if users (perhaps still depending on their roles) could upload images as “featured image”.
Tested on:
WordPress 5.9 / BuddyPress 10 / BuddyX Theme 4.3.1
PS: [bp-site-post] is the correct shortcode and not the one mentioned under “#installation” on www.remarpro.com.
PPS: Ideally, the drop-down menu for “Post Status” could be limited to the previously defined settings (Standard for Blogpost is ‘publish’, so no need to show ‘pending’ status).

]]>Is it possible to limit the post accessibility so only the person who posted can see their own posts, and they are private and hidden to all other users?
]]>When i post any article using media from already uploaded images, thumbnails are working fine,
but when i use url (Image from other’s website), thumbnail is showing broken,
i checked the src link in the browser by inspecting the background code, it is not reffering to the upload folder.
the src link it is reffering is: If you click here, it will return status as 404 which lead to file not found
and normally when i chose media from already uploaded images, it is reffering path to upload directory: if you click here it will display the thumbnail image
I tried all possibilities, even i have trried Force Regenerate Thumbnails plugin, it has not worked for me
As per my understanding it is taking wrong src path for displaying thumbnail (it is not reffering upload directory)
and manually if i check the upload directory that image is availble in the directoy.
Thumbnail Image: Image Thumbnail is available in Upload folder
I am stucked with this issue by so many days.
Any help is much appriciated
Hi @venutius
I would like to report some things that need improvement.
Context: User Profile > My Posts
1. the search button shows nothing as label or icon. I had to add a dashicon in -/templates/myposts.php LINE 46
2. The searchbox does not work. The results are always a not-found page.
3. The search function uses the Login Name instead of the Nicename of a user to find their posts and this may be a security issue. These two names are usually the same, but if you are an admin (it is my case) you may want to have a different Login Name for security reasons, because the Nicename is visible to everybody (urls, @mentions etc).
4. The “Add Post” button should be visible, if Subscribers can post. I had to set manually the capability to “read” in the file -/templates/myposts.php LINE 29, in order to make it appear.
5. It would be good to have an option to chose the position of the tab “My Posts” on the navbar.
Well, that’s all for today ?? Have a nice day !
]]>I notice in the changelog for this plugin on the 26th April
Fix: Corrected error causing hidden groups to not be displayed.
I am sure my site used to work but now I can only see my hidden group when I try to create a new group post. It works fine when logged in as an administrator but for my intranet_user account type I don’t see public or private groups in the drop down list.
Is there a particular user capability that should be enabled for my intranet_user to allow the public and private groups to show in the group dropdown list as well as the hidden group? Or is this a bug introduced by the previous fix?
Regards,
Phil.
Hi @venutius
Really very useful plugin.Thank you!
But I think that a small fix for subscribers is needed. There is no way to insert an image. The visual editor does not have such a button. The text editor has no buttons at all (since Gutenberg). It is like this
Do you think this problem can be fixed?
Thanks again
]]>thanks for your work on this and other plugins.
I need to restrict posting capability to a particular role or member type (paid membership site with different levels of access to features and content)
is this possible?

]]>Hello,
For buddypress users, they are very likely to check anything in their profile menus.
It would be great if there are menus of “my posts”—> “add new” on Buddypress user profile.
Is that possible?
]]>Hi Venutius,
As soon as I activated this plugin… I could not access the administrator panel of the website.
As soon as I click to go to the dashboard… It takes me to the front page of the website
I had to disable the plugin to be able to see my admin panel again
Kind Regards
PS: I am using a multisite wordpress site. The plugin was activated on a secondary site
