I am specifically looking for a way to show a 404 page when a user tries to visit the profile of another user.

Since the plugin was updated to 1.5.1, my site has a problem.

I have your plugin installed with the new BuddyBoss Theme v1.8.4.1.

If I try to view the BuddyBoss Theme Options page in the admin area, I get a php fatal error and the page does not load.

When I deactivate the Restrictions for BuddyPress plugin I no longer have the problem.

I have also opened a ticket at BuddyBoss.

we work with the community plug-in “BuddyBoss”.
In BuddyBoss, every user has a profile. We would like the normal users/customers to be able to access the profiles of the administrators. The administrators should be able to access all profiles. But the users/customers should not be able to access the profiles of other users/customers. In BuddyBoss there is no setting to be able to do this. We have already asked the support and they recommended the PlugIn “bp-restrict”. With this plug-in, you can completely block the access of users/customers to profiles. That’s not bad. But we don’t want to block ALL profiles. The profiles of the administrator / contact person should be accessible.

Is that somehow possible?

Hello I have had an email from a customer who has had a “too many people trying to access the restricted area” message when logging in all week.
Any ideas what would cause these?

I’m not clear on what the difference between these statuses are. A logged in user is clear, but how and when is a member not a logged-in user? Is this specific to using PMPro (which I’m not)?

I can’t get the plugin to work. I’ve set this page (Group Directory) to Restrict All Members, which I assume means restrict to only those who are members of the site? Yet, it’s not working. I’ve tried using Profile Builder’s plugin to restrict content and now this plugin and nothing seems to be working…not sure what to do?

Hi to everybody – I really love this plugin. Though something has to be correct. Once the field – PMPRO Free access- has been set correctly, the users who choose that field take all the characteristics of the free level assigned to them. However, they do not appear on the pmpro member list.
Is this is a BUG? because they behave just like members, but by not entering the list they don’t appear in the buddypress directory.
I’m Very grateful if you can solve this enigma!

On my website, when a page is restricted, Restrictions for BuddyPress currently redirects to the registration page. I would rather it redirect to the login page. How might I effect this?

When I checked ON to block All Members from Activity feed my browser hangs and after a minute shows ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS. There’s also a PHP error:

Is there a way to restrict access to the “members” page inside the buddypress group?

Does this allow you to restrict content by Member Type in BuddyBoss? For example, I am building a website where I teach adult students and child students. I would want the children to be restricted to accessing a small section of child-friendly/course-related groups, whilst allowing the adult students to view and engage in discussion on all topics (from politics to movies and TV shows).

What would be the best way to separate these child students from adult students? Should I just use a User Role for this? Would it be easier to sync this up with other plugins if I do it with User Roles?

It is a nice plugin and it is still better than official PMPRO. I am using premium PMPRO with bp restrict for a few month and all was perfectly stable.

But since a few days, i have an issue (setting of bp restrict)

Can you please tell me how I can set two profile fields and values that BOTH need to be true before the member is assigned free membership via the “PMPRO Free access” section? …For example, the member must be a “woman” AND must have answered “yes” to the question ‘Do you have pets?’ for the free membership to apply to her.

(‘Gender’ field is “Woman” + ‘Have Pets’ field is “Yes” = Free Membership)
