As the topic states. This bug is still present. Sadly the old fix code doesn’t seem to be working.
Is the developer still around?

Where are the email templates stored? Is it referencing a php file somewhere in a buddy press folder?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks in advance for your attention and time on this.
When I turned on this plugin then Connection button vanished from the Buddyboss community. and we are unable to send connection request in the community

I have a BuddyBoss website that uses the BuddyBoss registration and login functionalities.
I was formerly using “New User Approve” plugin by WPExpertsio but the activation link in the email that registrants receive goes straight to a login page, without any reinforcing message stating they must wait for admin approval before signing in. Even though the activation email says “please wait for admin approval before signing in”, my registrants haven’t been reading the message. So they try to log in immediately and can’t get in because there is no time for me to approve their registration.
I thought your plugin would resolve the issue. Your screenshot shows a message in a green box “Your account has been activated.” and a message in a pink box “Your membership account is awaiting approval by the site administrator…”
I deactivated the “New User Approve” plugin and cleared the cache for the entire site as well as my browser before trying out your plugin. But when I clicked the activation link in my email, I got no such message. Just the same old login page as if the registrant could easily login in immediately upon activation without waiting for admin approval at all.

Please advise me on how to fix this! I would love for it to work as you have demonstrated. I would be ever so grateful for your assistance with this.
Just wondering if we could see an option to click a link to see the submitted details. Now the plugin takes you to the front end member page when you click on the pending activation’s name. I believe I am asking for a previous submitted question but the code is no longer available. Thank you
After I reset my email in buddypress (I was having a weird issue where my emails turn french) approval system sends the other emails but the default buddy press activation email gets sent instead of the one from registration options.
I tried reinstalling registration options – Didn’t help
I tried updating both buddy press and registration options – Didn’t help
I tried making changes and saving again – Didn’t help
Few more things I am forgetting – Didn’t help
Any help is appreciate
Hi! I would like to restrict users via their Profile Type in BuddyBoss. Is this possible please? I have 2 types of user on my site, free and paid. The paid users are assigned a Profile Type and Role so would like to make them restricted where I have to approve them manually. Thanks!
Hello,
Thank you very much for your work on this great plugin. Is it possible to stop emails from being sent to users who are denied? Phrased another way, is it possible to not send an email when the “Deny” button is pressed on the member requests screen?
In our scenario, we have competitors signing up. We would like to deny them, without them realizing they have been denied. We are open to making code changes or doing anything we can to help support this as a feature.
Thank you again for your time!
Users are no longer being assigned a role. I’m not sure the exact date this started happening but it appears to be happening for the last 2 months.
Once a user is approved the role says:

HI,
I created a responsive email and inserted it into the plugin as HTML code. After I saved it some tags like
are (with the information for responsiveness) deleted (filtered) … can i disable this “Filter”?
Kind regards Joerg
FYI, when your plugin is activated, the Request Friends button on BuddyPress is missing. Is this a bug?
Hi – I have a website with a lot of different users – and different admins to. I am trying to extend functionality of BuddyBoss to send admin emails only to the admins, whose users need to be approved. So a user from Holland will have their approval mails sent to the dutch Admin while danish signups will have the pending emails sent to the danish admin.
I can do this by using Uncanny Automator and BP Registration plugin. However…As odf now, 2 mails are sent – one to the correct admin from UNcanny Automator – and one to ALL admins from BP registration.
Is there any way to not have BP Registration send an email, but keeping the functionality of approving members intact?

Hello! I denied access to a new user on my buddyboss site torah.global and I received a critical error email.
Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a
plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you
with this automated email.
In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, BP
Registration Options.

Active theme: BuddyBoss Theme Child (version 2.2.5.1675942967)
Current plugin: BP Registration Options (version 4.4.3)

We installed this plugin a few weeks ago to use with our BuddyBoss site and when originally tested, any new user registrations were shown as pending in the Users section of the dashboard which restricted them from accessing our site in any way. This is exactly what we needed.
However we have now noticed that new users are automatically approved on the WordPress side. Which means they can login to the site and view their profile page all be it they are being restricted from any other site interaction until the request is approved in the BP Registration plugin.
Do you know why this may have changed and is there any way to revert back to the previous functionality so that any new users registering to the site are left as pending on the WordPress side with no ability to login to the site until approved via the BP Registration plugin?
It’s very important for our client that there is no way for pending users to access the site in any way, even if with very limited access due to the sensitive nature of the site’s subject matter and privacy required by its members.
Thanks,
Jon
We are using BP Registration Options on a site running on Buddyboss platform and just installed Better Messages latest version to find out that we get fatal errors on users not approved yet.
The fatal error occur on the following lines in compatibility.php:
remove_action( 'bp_template_content', array( BP_Better_Messages_Tab(), 'content' ), 20 );
remove_filter( 'the_content', array( BP_Better_Messages_Hooks(), 'chat_page' ), 12 );
with the error messages:
Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function BP_Better_Messages_Tab()
or
Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function BP_Better_Messages_Hooks()
When I remove those lines it works. Although I guess those lines were there for a purpose.
Dear,
When a user register, I’m receiving BP Registration emails, but as well the ones from BuddyPress.
Therefore, there are 2 approval requests.
Consequences is that if I want to Deny a request, I do have to do it on BOTH modules… if not, the Username is still considered as used from the second module, until managed.
But this means as well that the user is receiving 2 Deny emails too !
How to ensure that only BP Registration is handling the process?
Thanks a lot,
Jean-Frederic
Dear,
How is it possible to change the FROM email address used for all BP Registration communication?
It is using “[email protected]” instead of the one mentionned in the Site “General Settings” from the field “Administration Email Address”. It should look like [email protected] but for some reason it uses “WordPress” ([email protected]) as user ID
Thanks a lot,
Jean-Frederic
