Too bad, but when the plugin is activated, access to the forum pages of “bbPress” (2.6.9) is no longer possible (site/forums).
There has been a critical error on this website.

I found a small bug.
After installing both plugins (BP Post Status + BP Site Post), WP/BP throws the following warning when clicking on certain groups (site/groups).
Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /var/www/html/…/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-groups/bp-groups-template.php on line 3226
This warning is caused by ‘BP Post Status’, after deactivation the message disappears.
This affects users (=members) with subscriber roles, as admin the message does not appear.
public group & member: no warning
private group & member: warning
private group & non member: warning

I tried the plugin with BuddyBoss installed on a MultiUser Network and it all went fine. I set up the plugin in the settings section and then set up the BP Site Post plugin. I went to set up the Menu at Appearance Menu and the site gave me a 404 error. This went back to normal when I deactivated the BP Post Status plugin
Please solve the problem.

Hello
Many thanks for developing and sharing this very useful plugin. I would love to use it in my projects; I was hoping that you would continue your support and updates.
Please let me know,
This is a really cool plugin — I hope can be updated for the latest WP5.4 and BP. Thanks
I just installed your plugin with WordPress 5.11 and I keep getting this error:

Any help would be appreciated.
Hi There,
I notice that all the links from the post loop in the group blog goes to inner page of group…. the problem is that this creates a duplicate of the post.
You not only can access the post from the permalink for ordinary single post
https:// sitename / postname
but you can also access the same post from the BP Post Status blog with a different permalink.
https:// sitename /groups/groupname/postname
A suggestion might be to enable the excerpt to show in the group page but the permalinks from the BP Post Status Blog go to regular post of wordpress. (only allowing group members to access the full post)
That way excerpts can be shown where needed but only full access is granted to group members. (non members can be redirected back to “request membership” or group home page.
You will also stop the duplicate content issue
Kind Regards
PS: Is there any update on the front end posting for members that you were working on… would be good if that is an integral part of this plugin enabling the option to be able to post to group or to own blog with the option to select what categories to post to

Hello and first of all, fantastic plugin!
it seems to be exactly what I was looking for, to use a post as homepage for a group.
I tried it and it works well for a regular post, but I was hoping to use Custom Post Type as well, to display items crated by another plugin.
For example I have a book library plugin and I create some “book” custom posts. I can select it to be a Group Post and select the proper group, but when I set it as home, only the description is shown in the group’s home. It would be amazing to show the “Book” custom type post, with all its fields and pagination, as home of a group on the book.
Is this already feasible and I simple can’t figure it out?
thank you!
Best regards
Tommy
Hi! I am not sure if this feature is in this plugin but I hope so. I am looking for a plugin that sends out a notification when a author posts a new post in buddypress. I have installed the plugin but I do not seem to get it work so that is why I am asking you if the plugin has that feature and if so how do I activate it! Thank you!
Hi again
I think it is better to exclude post selected as “group homepage” from “group posts” loop / tab.
I mean this post works as a “page” so should be treated differently from other posts. For example some may heavily decorate it with page builders (Elementor, Visual composer, …).
So, at the moment:
1. This post will look peculiar in “group posts” tab.
2. This post is shown both at homepage tab and group posts tab.
Hi again,
3-4 days ago, I assigned a group post as a group home.
Today, I tried to assign another group post to another group home, but I could not do this again. I went to plugin’s setting page, but I did not find any option.
Then, after around 15 minutes, when I was playing around groups/[group name]/admin/group-posts-admin/
, I saw: Enable group Home tab - if enabled, a group post will need to be assigned as the home page.
option and enabled it. This time I could assign the post to group home tab, again.
If some have 50 groups and wants to add homepage to all of them, he should go through all 50 departments, that is very time-consuming.
So, I think it’s better to have Enable group Home tab - if enabled, a group post will need to be assigned as the home page.
option in the plugin’s setting page, as a default setting for whole groups. This is a useful functionality, and I suggest you to enable it by default.
To be honest, I prefer your plugin, over well established BuddyPress Groups Extras, because
With your plugin, some can design beautiful and functional homepages (or group profiles) for his/her groups. This way:
Good Luck ??
I published a post as a regular post (not allocated to a specific group), then changed its status to “Group Post”, specified a group, and its visibility to “Group only”.
Now, it is listed in group post tab, that’s OK.
The Problem is here: after reviewing group activities tab, I noticed that this post is not listed.
Hi,
Thanks for developing such a useful plugin.
Consider this Group Homepage Tab:

I think the group homepage needs some modifications as follows:
You may argue items 2-4 may be useful in rare cases, so I suggest removing them by default and allowing admins to change the plugin setting as their needs; or at least, adding some plugin specific #ids or .classes to allow site admins to hide theme (e.g.
#bp-post-status-group-homepage-post-title {display: none;}
#bp-post-status-group-homepage-category {display: none;}
#bp-post-status-group-homepage-tag {display: none;}
#bp-post-status-group-homepage-comments {display: none;}
I think this change will improve the group’s Homepage aesthetically.
Hello,
Please can you enable this plugin to work with buddypress follow plugin as I do not use the friendship component. I only use the follow plugin.

This plugin is great. This is less a question but rather a challenge – to you, me or anyone else that reads this.
With your plugin, you can adjust the post visibility using the Publishing metabox on the backend editing screen. What I’m trying to figure out is a way to place that same metabox in the frontend post. My users can’t go to the backend. It isn’t that kind of site. So I’m trying to shoehorn a way to get this baby on the frontend. My PHP skills are about a 4.5 out of 10 currently, so I’ve got some hurdles.
There was a response on the WP StackExchange a few years ago (https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/95545/post-visibility-option-to-theme-front-end-for-author-to-select) that addressed this, but I can’t seen to make it work for me. I just re-asked the question from a broader perspective (https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/304030/adding-editing-backend-metaboxes-for-a-given-post-type-to-the-frontend) and we’ll see if there are any responses.
I was telling someone the other day that the future of WordPress is largely frontend with a few admins maintaining backend. The future hasn’t quite caught up to the present in terms of WP functionality. They don’t make these things easy.
But I know there is a way to do it. If anyone figures it out, or if I learn how, I’ll update this question.
