Grato.
]]>Hi!
I have a corporate website with a BudyPress installation.
Afterwards, my customer decided to create a subdomain with an intranet theme based on BuddyPress (WOffice).
My customer′s users are created a BuddyPress user profile in the main site, but if they want to upgrade, they will have access (user credentials and profile) in the intranet where they have extended options.
1. I′ve read many forum questions but still not sure whether this plugin or (Network+) will allow us to share buddypress users among both networks, knowing one of them is a subdomain.
2. We did not think it was necessary to set up a multisite in neither domain. Must we do that?
Thanks a lot for your support ;D

I need to set buddypress on a secondary blog on a single network of my multi networks installation.
Is this achievable in the standard way (define BP_ROOT_BLOG, x)?
Will other networks be affected by this?
Thanks,

Good morning,
Sorry Im newbie with BP Multi Network and a little scare to use it (first time)
Using Buddypress with a network now, I need to find a solution to have different communities with my subdomain. each subdomain are mapped domain. ex name1.network.com = name1.com
I create 12 different mapped domain and each of them show activity of other mapped domain due of buddy press network
Question 1 : does BP Multi Network allo to create different communities and show only infos of this communities on the network ?
Question 2 : when deactivating buddy press and buddy press plugin , just erase all bp line is right to create different communities ?
Thank you very much for your answer

]]>New install of WP Multisite
Looking to utilise this plugin but just want to clarify a couple of things in relation to installation.
I have not yet installed BP or forums but will be doing ‘after’ installing BP Multi Network.
Question therefore is: Do I then still need to follow BP DB alteration instruction after I’ve installed it? & is there anything further I need to explore in relation to forums? The link provided to WPMU Tutorials is a 404.
Thanks in advance.

I want to know how to force all BP pages to a secondary site/subdomain within each BP network?? like in:

I know I have to define the desired $site_id for each network_id in a mu-plugin,

So, what is missing here?

// Define this function for sharing BP throughout/across the sites of this network

add_filter( 'bp_get_root_site_id', 'filter_root_site_id' ); // return site ID integer
}
}

]]>Seems like a nice plugin, but it hasn’t been updated for the last 2 years??
Any plans to update it so it is 100% compatible with current versions of WordPress and Buddypress for multi sites?
Thanks for your answer!
]]>I received an error message after I activated this plugin and tried to create new group. It says “There was an error saving group details. Please try again.” However, when I deactivate the plugin, I can create and save the group no problem. Any idea what may have caused this error and how to fix it?
Currently I also have below plugins installed for the site.
bbPress version 2.5.8
BuddyPress version 2.4.3
This plugin is currently saved in the same folder as the other plugins under the wp-content/plugins directory. I saw on the plugin install page it was specified to do below but I am not sure how relevant that is to the version of WP, BP I have so have not done that. Are these steps still required?
*If you already have/had BP active on your sub networks:
1) deactivate BuddyPress on your sub network(s).
2)Edit your database and remove the bp- settings for the subnetwork from wp_sitemeta and wp_X_options where X is the blog ID of the main site in your sub network.
Thanks for the help in advance.

]]>When installing the plugin in the wp-content/mu-plugins folder:
1. Should I make a subfolder for bp-multi-network, or just put it in there directly?
2. Do I only install the single .php file, as the instructions say:
“Upload bp-multi-network.php to /wp-content/mu-plugins.”
Or do upload all of the php files in the .zip?
The ‘signups’ table is always prefixed by $wpdb->base_prefix
, but BuddyPress prefixes it with the return from bp_core_get_table_prefix()
, resulting in queries on a non -existent signups table on non-main networks.
I’ve asked for an additional filter in BuddyPress to prevent this. The following code in BP Multi Network works for me to restore functionality that requires querying the signups table:
function ra_bp_multinetwork_filter_signups_table_prefix( $prefix ) {
global $wpdb;
if( $wpdb->siteid > 1 ) {
return $wpdb->base_prefix;
}
return $prefix;
}
add_filter( 'bp_signups_table_prefix', 'ra_bp_multinetwork_filter_signups_table_prefix' );
Thanks for a really useful plugin.
]]>Hello,
then using the standard BuddyPress list of members, it lists all the wp_users regardless of what subsite they have access to. Since this plugin is about creating different groups for each subsite I think it makes sense to separate this.
I added this code to get it done:
add_action( 'bp_pre_user_query', 'fv_bp_pre_user_query' );
function fv_bp_pre_user_query( $buddypress ) {
global $wpdb;
$buddypress->uid_clauses['where'] = "WHERE u.ID IN ( SELECT ID FROM {$wpdb->users} AS u JOIN {$wpdb->usermeta} AS m ON u.ID = m.user_id WHERE meta_key = '{$wpdb->prefix}user_level' AND spam = 0 AND deleted = 0 AND user_status = 0 )";
}
Next I had to also fix the total user count as that’s determined by a different query which is not filtered by above:
add_action( 'bp_user_query_populate_extras', 'fv_bp_fix_total_users' );
function fv_bp_fix_total_users( $buddypress ) {
if( $buddypress->query_vars['user_id'] == 0 && !$buddypress->query_vars['exclude'] && !$buddypress->query_vars['search_terms'] && !$buddypress->query_vars['meta_key'] && !$buddypress->query_vars['meta_value'] && !$buddypress->query_vars['include'] ) {
set_transient( 'bp_active_member_count', $buddypress->total_users );
}
}
If you could test this and include in next release, that would be great as we wouln’t have to maintain this fix and your plugin would benefit from it.
Thanks!
Martin

]]>I am wondering if it this plugin is all or nothing. Would it be possible to limit most of the metadata, but not all. For example: When someone accepts a friend request could it register network wide?
]]>Boone, JJJ, and Ron,
I’ve installed BP-Multi-Network alongside Buddypress, WordPress Multi-site, and WP Multi-Network. My intent is to be able to provide a system of systems where each new network can function like the core one — all of the same capabilities.
One of those is to have group forums. In looking at the documentation, I’ve gotten confused at the edit bb-config.php part. The only bb-config.php file I’ve been able to find is inside of BP and it has some very strong language to not edit it. It also says the “real” bb-config.php will be in the WordPress core, but neither I nor my host (Pagely) can find it.
Is editing bb-config.php still a current requirement? If so, are their updated instructions on how to do so?
Thanks!
Rob
BP 2.2.1 + WP 4.1.1
Problem!
I created a multi network WP on subdomains.
Then created another two sites, in the end there:
1. domain.com
2. sub1.domain.com
3. sub2.domain.com
how to enable the plugin buddypress and bbpress so that
for each site you can create custom (different) user groups (+ forum to these groups) in buddypress for each site separately, but to the user profile shows all the groups that the user entered.
Tell us step by step, please.
]]>Hi, is it possible to setup a second BP network in a subfolder on the same domain?
The main site is already setup on a BP network with a few subsites, but would like to setup another network where I can have another group of subsites in that network.
Is it possible with this plugin or does it always require a new domain for the new networks? Can’t find a solution so hope this is it.
Thanks
]]>I would love to sync ONLY users extended profile between sites
I want to achieve that my root network will have a collection of all the buddy press members with their extended profile.
For example a user register in my child network fill all the fields. Then he want to see the global users across all the network I have so he visit the the root network.
Basically to synce new wp_bp_xprofile fields to the root network.
Someone has idea how it can be done ?

That is why I was wondering if this plugin was compatible with the latest version.
