]]>Hi,
I installed buddypress chat plugin in our site. for testing i put alert code in jquery js file. even though i deleted that line it still shows alert box. i deleted plugin and reinstalled fresh copy even tough that alert box arrived. Please Help me to solve.
Hi
I have send test messages, which seems to work, but where do they go?
It doesn’t look like a chatroom where you can see your message you just posted!?
and then of course the reply from the one you chat with

]]>Hello,
I installed the plugin. The chat search works, whereas it asks me to search for a user and a list of links arrives when I do. When I click on one of the links with the user’s name, there is an error page saying “Not Found:It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search?
Search for:”
This looks like a page-not-found error to me, so probably the link is bad. The link comes up as “mydomain.com/#”
What do I do to fix this?
Thanks

Hi. I took out the search button and the textbox and put them in another page of mine. I set the post action to be “mywebpage/chat”. But when i try to search for a user, there was a forbidden error. Not error 403, but just a forbidden in the middle of the page. May i know what might have caused the error? Thank you.

This should fix. Here is the patch for that:Patch

]]>Howdy,
I’m a little confused on install procedure. What is the actual shortcode I’m installing? Is it literally ” [bp-instant-chat] ” that I’m pasting somewhere? If so, where? And ideally I’d like the chat option on every screen across the site for the members to be able to use chat, not just on select pages, so where exactly am I making that happen?
Sorry for the noob questions.
]]>Apart from the fact that the plugin is at the moment not usable for me due to other issues (see “Strange conflict with child theme”) I dislike the fact that admins have the possibility to read all chats. I think this should be limited to the people who had the chat themselves.
An other thing is the fact that the text bubbles appear under the form, so you have to scroll all the time to see the messages. I’d prefer a fixed form field with the text bubbles above, and moving off the screen when new messages appear. (I think compactness is anyway more important here than text bubbles, which take a lot of space)
Still, I like the idea a lot: it offers a very light weight solution for private chats. Didn’t try if more people can be invited to the chat… is that possible?
So if these issues would be solved, and group chats also be possible, it definitely would be the best plugin for chats!
]]>Hello,
I’m testing your plugin, and I’ve noticed that the chat box is wide filling the screen. The chat is not following the page or widget ‘width’ rules.
Check the screenshots attached..

Thanks.
]]>Hi,
For some reason activating this plugin makes it so my individual page templates aren’t used (i.e. page-[something].php). The child theme itself still works, but not the individual page templates.
Hi, I wanted to try your plugin, but I cant see it anywhere. Only the options in admin panel. On clicking i got asked for 2 users. Not important i fill in, always error message: User 1 can not be found.
Any hints what to do? thanks
