I’m using bbpress and hence bp-classic. With php 8.2 I’m getting a lot of these:
PHP Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property BBP_Forums_Component::$members is deprecated in /home/wp/sites/rc-clone/wp-content/plugins/bbpress/includes/extend/buddypress/loader.php on line 149
PHP Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property BBP_Forums_Component::$activity is deprecated in /home/wp/sites/rc-clone/wp-content/plugins/bbpress/includes/extend/buddypress/loader.php on line 153
I’m not clear if bp-classic can help with this? Or is it just a bbpress issue (in which case I guess it will not likely be fixed?) Appreciate any advice!
]]>Hello
I LOVED having this plugin, so that I could get my old widgets back (I NEED THEM). xD
The issue I’m having is, that there is a slight compatibility issue with the Content Control plugin.
I use the Content Control plugin to restrict certain user roles to access the pages/links that Paid Membership Pro can’t seem to restrict successfully.
When I activate the BP Classic plugin the permissions still work (somewhat) – but the possibility to now restrict the selected directories (activity, group and members) are now bugged.
This means that the pages are not 100% restricted and members can still access them sometimes by direct links – which is not ideal at all.
Is there a possible way to make this compatible or get the widgets back in another way?
My theme is also running on the “old” BuddyPress Legacy Template and is not compatible with the new Nouveau Template.
I hope you can help! Thanks!
Hello
I recently updated one of our sites to BuddyPress 12.
Before the update, we didn’t have a registration page configured in the BuddyPress pages settings, but we did have a custom WordPress page with a slug of /register/.
After updating, and also adding and activating the “bp-classic” plugin I have the issue of BuddyPress rendering an empty page on the /register/ URL.
I can see it added a register URL in the permalinks:
register/?$ index.php?bp_register=1 other
Which is added from here:
https://github.com/buddypress/buddypress/blob/master/src/bp-members/classes/class-bp-members-component.php#L734
I’m just wondering what’s the best way to work around this? For now I’ve just added a filter to change the bp_get_signup_slug()
to a random URL.
Hi all,
I am not 100% sure what to do? I have a small forum with bbpres 2.6.9. When I activate BuddyPress 12.2.0. everything breaks down. But it has to be activated before I activate BP Classic 1.2.0.? And after this activation bbpress is still working? Sorry, but I am scared and confused and I am no expert. I really loved BuddyPress until last week and I want to use it again.
Best regards from Hamburg
Markus
