I’ve got the latest version of Buddypress installed and installed BuddyPress Album. I get the settings screen and all but, even with the slug “album” entered into the BP Album settings the /album doesn’t work on the site. I can’t figure out how to add this to the member navigation. I really need each member to have a page that shows their photos. Is this not the plugin for that?

Is there a moderation feature like in rtmedia pro, on the roadmap?
Rtmedia pro is 149$ (yes, they’re totally crazy with price…) and its only feature i’m interest about compared to BP-album are moderation capabilities. Features would be:
1) the ability to have all photos uploaded send in a “pending for moderation” menu before it goes live (for 149$ rtmedia pro doesn’t even offer this option…) and going again automatically in pending for review if a user update photos.
2) A was for user to flag/report an innapropriate photo, with a mail sent to the user to inform him his photo has been deleted and with a function to set that photos will be deleted if “X” users have reported it.

]]>I needed proportional thumbs for bp gallery so I changed the image source to the medium size image and used css to scale. It works but I wonder if it would be better to use the actual thumbnail files if I could. But I just can’t figure out how to get them proportional. I assume the thumbnails are created and cropped on upload.
I had to do the same for activity stream thumbnails, it was trickier because the image source is printed into the activity post content.

]]>I am moving over to BuddyPress from Ning and can’t seem to move the members images. There aren’ too many so I am happy to add them myself to each member but BPAlbum does not seem to allow the administrator to do this. I have tried creating a folder for one of the members using https://xxxxxx.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/album/userID/filename.xxx but this does not show up in the members album. Is there any way I can therefore do this?

Not supported anymore and does not work with newer versions. Spend a lot of time to find out what happened with BP Media plugins. Short outcome: Its a mess.
Only one ruinning I could find was rtmedia. Or i just was too tired to continue search…

I’m using a lightbox to open bp-album images site wide, it works with the pictures.php and all-images.php, just had to change the a class and link.

I was wondering how can I set the image upload limit (max image on album total allowed) to work with date.
I am using BuddyPress Album to add the photos option to my website.
Example: a user can upload two pictures per day.
If the user already uploaded two pictures in 24 hours, send a failed message. (Like it do when a user is trying to upload more pictures than the max number of images allowed.)
If somebody could help me it will be really great.

]]>I am seeing broken images when I try to use the album. The images are on the server on the path they should be, and when I navigate to them I get 404 not found! The images are okay – I downloaded them via ftp to make sure they arent corrupted and they are not, and the permissions are 664. So why can’t I see them?

Upload and installed BuddyPress Album via network admin.
If I ‘DONT’ network activate I can’t see BuddyPress Album in any Multisite installs to activate on specific sites.
If I ‘DO’ network activate the plugin, the BuddyPress Album facility is there within profiles but I don’t see any option/setting page via admin.
This is happening with numerous plugins, not just your own. Most work fine.

]]>The templates in 1.8.14 are a mess with BuddyPress 1.7 (as you would expect), and the comments function doesn’t work either (I have it enabled in the preferences, and trying to enable it for each picture does nothing). I tried the version from your Github, but the album and photo pages just come up blank (uploading works fine with both versions).
I tried BuddyPress Media (lacks critical features I want, and is bloated with lots of stuff I don’t need that causes conflicts) and BuddyPress Gallery (so buggy I don’t know how anyone can run it at all). A 1.7 compatible version of BuddyPress Album is my only hope!

I am now using this Plugin on a website it works fantastically well.
However when re sizing takes place the thumbnails are being re-sized at a 1:1 ratio. However most edited photos and indeed those straight from camera are at a 3:2 ratio.
I was hoping someone could advise how to set the Bp-Album to maintain the 3:2 aspect ratio during thumbnail generation.
