This is a plugin which has anything a business could ask for. They’ve gone above and beyond for the addons, including Google Calendar/Outlook integration which is highly sought after. It is a plugin in its early stages and has it’s minor quirks but the support team are quite active and ready to assist with any issues that may arise.

With that in mind, the fact that this early stage plugin holds so many benefits, great prebuilt layouts and options to suite almost any business is impressive. Most plugins start too small for people to pay attention. I feel like they have a great beginning head start and can only go up from here!

Worth the consideration. Worth being patient for. Worth it for small business’ who want to simplify their startups and not pay an arm and a leg for overly complicated software that present extra costs for other people to come in needlessly set it up for you. My business looks to help small business owners by giving them low cost easy to use solutions that perform to their needs. This has been worth while addition to our pool of solutions, hiccups and all.

Extremely slow, takes up a ton of memory. I wonder if real developers worked on this. All they had to do was make this as lean as possible but it takes 3-4 seconds to even load a damn form, then another 5-10 seconds to load next step, it’s not even consistent, sometimes your users wont get stuck at a step with the loading logo forever. I would not recommend this for anyone serious about their business

I use bookingpress lite on my website and loved it so much that I decided to upgrade. I decided to contact the team at booking press and asked if they could give me a discount. They replied vey quickly and after a short while, I got the discount!!! The plugin has every feature you need for a booking systems website and is way cheaper than Booksy which charges around $44per month, Long story short, I’m happy

I recently started using the BookingPress for my yoga classes, and it really helpful for my customers to book yoga sessions! The seamless booking experience it offers is best. I especially love the Group Booking feature and multiple payment options, including on-site payments, are most helpful in appointment booking for my yoga classes. cheers!!!

The calendar is very slow in selecting days. In my configuration, I select 1 to 3 days depending on the service, and it’s only available in certain months. This configuration is available, but it’s very slow to use.

I’ve contacted support, who take several days to reply. They try to divert the subject with each reply, which takes an enormous amount of time.

I’d rather give this service provider one star for not taking problem requests seriously.

I’ve been using BookingPress for a few months now, As someone who has used various booking plugins over the years, I can confidently say that BookingPress stands out as a remarkable tool for anyone needing an efficient. And it has truly transformed how I manage appointments on my WordPress site. The setup was straightforward and intuitive, making it easy to get started without any technical issue

What impressed me the most is how easily BookingPress connects with PayPal. It was very simple to set up and use. This feature has made handling payments much easier for both me and my clients, making transactions smooth and hassle-free.

I thought I had found the best booking plugin after trying out several of other popular options. It seems great but the more you customize the settings to your needs, the more your realize how many issues or incomplete functions there are.

For example, the stripe integration addon is horrible. It looks like the devs gave up and just put together something that kind of works. The payment popup looks very SHADY. Looks nothing like the official stripe payment page. It also cannot be dismissed so you’re stuck in the payment process once the popup is on screen.

Zero-decimal currencies like JPY or KRW are multiplied by 100, so you end up charging huge amounts (100x) for services.

Other issues:

• staff holidays are not viewable on the calendar dashboard
• no option to set partial refund within X days, but full refund outside this (must set a minimum fee that cannot be refunded if the partial refund feature is enabled)
• custom duration settings don’t make sense. you cannot set price per unit for certain unit amounts (price per hour for 4 hour bookings, for example). instead you have to manually set different packages for each number of hours.
• taxes and coupons amounts are not calculated properly

And a bunch of other inconveniences. All in all a very disappointing experience and a waste of time for my clients.

I’ve tried a few different booking plugins for my website and found BookingPress to be really great for my business needs. As a photographer, I wanted a booking application that is user friendly with a good interface for my clients. I have the option to customize and personalize the app with some css code from the support team.

The support team helped resolve issues that I experienced within 24hours. It can only get better and better with all of the new features they have coming up.

After testing almost all the solutions available on the market (WordPress plugin or external platform with code integration), I came across this plugin.

It has everything you could hope for in a booking plugin and even more. The numerous add-ons make it possible to meet almost all the most common uses, whether for booking services or even (simple) products with a shopping cart add-on.

The strong points of the plugin (and this should be highlighted):

• The design, totally responsive as long as it is integrated correctly for each page. It is also modern and allows for a slight white label.
• The functions, numerous and à la carte via add-ons to add, which avoids unnecessarily weighing down the main extension (which is a good point).
• The price, relatively fair: more expensive would be too much but currently the value for money is acceptable.

There are necessarily negative points to indicate and really, if they were corrected, I don’t see what we could blame it for (for those who need more, it’s no longer a reservation plugin to which you can go). you have to turn, but an e-commerce store):

• Integration with admin calendars is only possible via Google Calendar and Outlook (who still uses Outlook in 2024? Especially in small businesses for which this plugin is aimed). We really should add ical and Apple synchronization, it’s a must have.
• Managing calendar synchronization via Google Calendar or Outlook is not optimal. We expect much better options from a plugin of this type: search the calendars for available slots, do not suggest appointments if you are already booked… in short it needs to be improved because as it stands Automation is one-sided and too fragile.
• The translation of the plugin is well managed automatically for the free part, but the paid part is basic in English, and you have to change everything manually to switch it back to French (which is personally my language), it’s long and painful, but at least we have the possibility of changing everything.
• Concerning the translation, it is sometimes difficult to know what the phase that we are translating corresponds to, it is not clear, it is poorly identified and the pieces which are automatically translated are in very approximate French.
• Loading times are sometimes a little long
• Managing email notifications is possible, but it is quite basic and if you are not familiar with text/code editors, it is difficult to succeed in producing beautiful emails.

Despite its faults and the improvements necessary to allow peaceful use, it is in my opinion one, if not the best reservation plugin currently available, as long as one is ready to overlook the faults it may have For now.

For my part, I hope that these defects will be corrected quickly and the Apple management added.

After trialing countless booking systems, buying licenses for such, and then subsequently getting refunded when we discover they don’t fit the bill, we stumbled upon this plugin. It’s fantastic… Or so I initially thought.

…That was until I spent several weeks battling with it ironing out countless bugs.

The Calendar sync functionality is especially broken and only works in one direction, and overall the system proved to be massively unreliable. For example clicking on buttons to perform basic functions such as deleting appointments etc would always return errors and you would end up with redundant records of data stuck in the system which couldn’t be removed without deleting records from phpmyadmin.

Support requests are dealt with very slowly and usually takes about 48 hours to respond, which isn’t really acceptable when you have just put a production site live and the entire thing falls apart.

Plugin needs a lot of work to get it to a stable position. I would advise using alternatives until the devs can get this plugin to a more reliable state for use in production environments.

Have been using Lite for a while, I had some issues with flags disappearing and form not loading I had reached out to them and found out it was indeed from my caching plugin. The support was kind enough to guide me through the entire process as my developer had left me mid way. I didnt expect them to pay such attention to me as I was just a free user but didnt expect such good support. Now I am looking forward to upgrade to one of the premium plans but so far the lite was sufficient for me any my business, would definitely recommend.

We’ve implemented this plugin for a client of us that is renting out boats. We’ve tried other plugins before but they always fell apart with either missing functionality that we needed or with sloppy support. Even though renting out objects (boats in our case) has its own requirements that are not 100% covered in the demos we took a small gamble to see how BookingPress would hold up. And: Not bad. We did have some back and forth with support but they were clear and correct, it almost all worked out for us.

We did end up adding a feature request for missing functionality we would really like to see added. Especially to make it more developer friendly with documenting hooks (action/filters) that can be used to change/modify the existing functionality to a degree. We are a web development agency and would like more control over some parts of the plugin.

In the end I would recommend the plugin.
